  1. I don't think everyone will go for that. I baulk at the thought of paying Ashley, I might have to I guess to support the club but it will be distressing and perhaps a step too far - I'm sure others will feel similarly
  2. You can bet some will still try to, however!
  3. Indeed so, Woods, Butcher, Gough....ah those were the days, days when we took Spurs' best...
  4. And not much of a squad to whip into shape. Ah well, time has very much been against us but once suspensions (and you can guarantee we will get these) and injuries (ditto) kick in. Well....... (I support the board and their choice of manager, btw, but "less than two weeks" is a bit of a stiff slap to the face.....)
  5. With all due respect I a delighted to hear that you were spouting shite!
  6. What a disturbing post, though well spotted Zapman....
  7. Fair enough my good man, for what it is worth I thought that he was a very good player and massively underrated previously in our colours (same was true when he was in the tim colours ) However, like yourself, when referring to last season I stand by my comments. I do understand that as a sportsman when the body can no longer do what the mind is telling it to, your frustration levels are rocketing, and when you make a run with your aged limbs and the dork doesn't release the pass you hit sky-rocketing levels. Yet still, Jig like he started hounding refs, feigning injury, diving and being totally reckless in his own tackles. Permissible in a ten year old, perhaps, for a couple of games but not on the field of adult play. Last season our most experienced pros (and the hired ned) were an embarrassment, game in, game out in cheating, conniving and hypocrisy.
  8. Yes, I can just imagine him coaching someone on how to leave the pitch when substituted with dignity and respect, or how not to blame a colleague for a pass that you were too slow to latch on to, or how not to talk a pile of self-serving unadulterated shit to the newspapers before every game. Yep, I can see tit all now...and as for badge kissing
  9. A bit cruel on the other inmates though - I thought Victorian type jails were a thing of the past....
  10. Septic are at home on Aug 1st so I presume we'll be moved to Sunday
  11. I know it is hugely infuriating for someone to say they have heard something but can't reveal from whom, but that's the case here and I thought you'd rather get the general message than me say nothing. I can PM admin source if you want. Anyway I got a first hand report of the training and it was all very, very encouraging. On the other hand there' no big secret as Warburton's approach has been well documented. That's what is being implemented - so, no surprise - but the attention to detail, innovatory and forwarding looking approach and focus on the core Warburton beliefs was refreshing to hear about. So one view is that it's challenging but very impressive and eye opening and beneficial and a complete change, there may be other views in the dressing room of course but I'd find it hard to believe any player wouldn't respond to the new approach - and if they do, I'm not sure I'd call them footballers.
  12. I suspect that David Weir will have input on this too
  13. Under 20s type game with any older players needing looked at re fitness thrown in, and Harry Winks looked at perhaps, is my take on it and they want to discourage anyone trying to go. I had already enquired about doing so but best to leave them in peace.
  14. It also speaks volumes re the state of Scottish society as it is a widespread phenomenon/disease
  15. Those are both foes
  16. A fair point, but add to that being party to getting Uefa to investigate and fine us, being party to the idea we evaded tax, that we are subhuman, that we are all bigots, and to numerous newspaper and radio attacks pon us.
  17. But indirectly you would feel his effect, he would be shaping things said about our club. He feeds Radio Snydede, BBCeltland and Spiers and co, he gives them ammo that they can hardly wait to use; he spreads lies about or club far and wide so that our fans are thought of as he depicts them. you may not see his name but you would feel the influence
  18. 'Should be', yes - but in reality Ill Phil has appeared in the MSM, he's influenced and been in papers, he talks with university lecturers, he influences and appears on national radio, he has a network of supporters in UK papers. He does us endless harm - there seems to be a move in this thread towards "ignore him and he'll go away, he's harmless" He won't go away unless he is made to and he has been the opposite of harmless. As for McTurdo the traitor - well, if you have poison in your bloodstream, ignoring it does not bring about recovery.
  19. ........................................
  20. They won the millionaire raffle part of it twice - the odds must be in the billions. Edit - after some research (i.e. typing it into Google), Camelot claimed that it was a 283 billion to 1 shot, but: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/euromillions-double-winners-chances-of-winning-twice-might-not-be-as-slim-as-they-seem-10152213.html
  21. Pre season connection so I will put it here: Rumour has it, we will play Real Sociedad at Livingston on July 14th (Ibrox pitch being worked on). Sounds ridiculous but the timz play them at St Mirren's ground a few days later
  22. It's a huge, heartbreaking problem. I would go further though and say that not all of them are "trying to do the same thing". Nor do all of them put the club's interests anywhere near as high on their list as wishing to harm other supporters, both individually and as groups or forums or whatever schism they have taken lifelong aversion to and umbrage at.
  23. Well said........but = not so easy a thing to do when our support includes creatures that are more dangerous to our well being than the bitterest tims.
  24. Thanks for that, first comment I saw was a good one from a Celtic fan. Nice to see that, too.
