Those keeping parasites like Toxic and Stockbridge in a job.

I have my doubts he is calling any shots tbh.

Could be appeasement Rab. Deflection. Hot air.

This is a different ball game these days. Some years as 2nd best will be added their first 4 without us. They will be out of sight if we accept any years of accepting 2nd best.

Andy Mitchell contract terminated "by mutual consent"

Hopefully one of many more. Best of luck to the kid wherever he ends up eventually. Shame he is stuck with Annan for another 5 months. If they want him back. -
Where did you see this mate?
-
Tradesmen can't even get £25k a year these days. £50k a year is a huge salary to joe bloggs.
-
I should have, sorry mate. No we don't.
-
Do we need Kirkwood, Sinclair and Gordon Durie at Auchenhowie? Does Ally need 2 assistants? Do they assistants both need to earn over half a million between them? Do we need a FD, CEO, finance consultant as well as Olverman and Dickson all on the pay roll? Do we really need them all? Do we really need Jack Irvine and Media House?
-
MacLeods uncle told me the kid was £1500 per week last year and was set to sign a new deal.

God knows mate. They were under contract pre-newco were they not so they will be on SPL money too, a year and a half down the line we are just finding out. It's a crazy amount of money for people who do.........well there's not much evidence of what they do.
-
Was it not £1.5m for the three coaches, that included Ally on £826k or something similar. So just over £300k each?
-
No, when Rab. Let's not get hysterical. 16 months and counting! God that's not long at all.
-
Any such deferal will just make us weaker on our return to the top league. We need to be making and saving money for our return, not have unnecessary bills to pay.
-
He is such an easy target, as much as i am against him, did he offer terms and sign off the contracts? Who allowed Ally to sign players on those huge contracts?
-
In the summer of 2012 we had 3 years to build our future. 3 years without a challenge. We made a complete Noel Hunt of it. What do we pay youth coaches for and why do we have a youth set up?
-
15% of £6.8m is what? Around a £1m saving. I wonder if this was instead of upsetting Ally by cutting his huge squad.
-
And we had that time, we had a chance to rebuild and blew it. We will never have a better chance to organise ourselves. We will not revert to type and do what we do best. Living outwith our means with short term fixes season after season. No one is expecting football heaven, that's unfair.

Are they even here anymore mate?

There are players all over the world who break into teams at an early age. How many do i want at Rangers? As many as possible, obviously. For the level we found ourselves at in the summer of 2012 we had a terrific chance to hire a manager with a track record of developing young players and bring through more than usual, we had a chance to believe in and give time to more than just Lewis MacLeod. Instead we signed a team of has-beens and went with a manager with absolutely no experience or clue for what we needed. Instead of a board with brains and ambition to do what is best for the football club we got a group of spivs out to bleed us dry whilst keeping in place a manager to keep fans onside and distracted elsewhere. The last 2 years on and off the park have been heartbreaking. This bringing kids through is what football teams the world over do. That is football, every experienced player started their careers somewhere and every one of them was once 17/18/19.
-
There is no universally correct age, players develop at different rates. You just used a figure which would suit your argument. Rookies by who? Stop it. Football is not black and white. Comparisons like that are pointless, they mean nothing as next to no similarities exist. Yeah me and every football manager who chooses to pick teenagers in their teams and squads. Obviously they wouldn't be picked if the boss doesn't think they are ready. No one is asking for full teams of 18 year olds, professional football is a sport played by men aged 16 to 40 generally, players can be of any age within that range depending on physical fitness and ability. I am not counting the Stoneys, Telfers, Sinnamons or Hardies either, just the ones who have been included in the first team. Our first team squad is 30-32 strong with a full youth set up underneath that. The current squad is huge whether you want to play about with ages or not. Around 30 players are considered for our first team squad every week. But then i am not trying to convince anyone. I have no interest in writing boring essay long replies in an attempt to change peoples minds or enforce my views, that's not what i am here for nor is it the type of person i am.
-
Why over 21? Because it suits you? Players should be ready for the first team around 18/19. Never mind the thoughtless and obvious contradiction before that. Your opinions are so blinded and so biased they are rarely worth debating but when nonsense like your first paragraph is written it must be met head on.
-
Surely not mate. That would be brazen as hell. I can't see it.

His career is almost done, he has made his money and will be on another big contract earning thousands without having to break sweat or try a leg. Good money if you can get it.
