  1. I think some people are underestimating what a change in manager and personnel can do for a team. It has clearly affected QoS.
  2. You dont' seriously believe that Rab? We have been told by every coach, manager and media pundit in the land for the last 20 years this striker and that striker would score more goals if they moved to one of the old firm because they have better players and create more chances than every other team.
  3. Of course he is, who else is going to pay him 5 or 6 grand a week to sit and do nothing?
  4. A girl once told me a leopard never changes their spots.
  5. Of course. The cut was supposed to be done last month, we have heard nothing since. I don't think it is something which could be kept secret for very long. We would no doubt have heard about it by now and what it was cut to. If the cut still leaves him as Scotlands highest paid manager then there will be meltdown i suspect.
  6. Just had a look at their page there, what is this about mega news? Anyone heard anything?
  7. Dunfermline are not a top tier side. Jim Jefferies is their manager too, not a manager i would buy into or believe in. No surprise they are only 5 in front of the rest. Have to agree about our income being poor. We could do so much better there. There are no guarantees in football. I believe we only have two players in our entire squad capable of challenging Celtic for the top tier title. Only 2. Meaning we will need a whole new squad as Ally himself stated last year. You don't know me so it's unfair to say you don't believe me. Where was the criticism of kids? MacLeod and Aird have earned rave reviews. Fans were clamouring for McKay to get a game this year. We haven't really seen anything of anyone else. That is what i wanted. To see a core of our kids coming through, given a chance. I hear you about not having one good example but our situation is rather unprecedented is it not? We had a chance to do something special. Why should i have been excited about last year? Again, you don't know me so please don't made silly assumptions. I know exactly what i want and i know Ally can never give me it. We can't even get that part right. We have been starved of success since Walter left. 1 cup in 3 years from a possible 10 so far and even that was a gimme.
  8. I think he means next years league, the actual Championship, not the big one.
  9. 3 or 4 teams, by his own admission. A team for every league he spoke of. This team would not get a whiff of European football in the SPL. End of next season?
  10. A QoS budget would still be the highest in the bottom 2 tiers, is that not enough for a manager of Allys calibre to gain promotion? We don't even need to go that low, we just clearly didn't need to go this high, that is the problem. Why does Ally need to spend 100 or 1000 times that of his opponents to beat them? What does that tell us? We certainly won't be able to do that in the top tier. I would much rather have seen our kids giving their all than the likes of Sandaza, Kyle, Black, Foster, Faure, Cribari, Smith, Daly and the like lumbering about the park. They are turning me off, i wanted to buy into watching our future stars shaping our clubs future. I just can't get excited about this team or where we are going. I have a horrible feeling about our future when it should be the most exciting time to be part of the Rangers story.
  11. We need rid of so much dross. That will hopefully be the priority.
  12. I believe they need removed in any case mate, they are toxic and each and every one guilty by association. I doubt i will ever trust them.
  13. We all know you and i are not really board friendly gunslinger but you and i both know expecting them to spend tens of millions of pounds the club can't generate is unfair. They are not here to be some sort of sugar daddy, indeed would it not be against these new fair play rules? We must live within our means, being able to spend at most what we bring in, nothing more. If our turnover is £20m then that is what our board have to play with for that year for overheads, running costs and playing budgets, no more loans, no more overdrafts, no more living outwith our means. If we want to compete with Celtic then we must find a business model to compare with theirs and give us an equal spending power. They can generate over £20m a year from playing in Europe, we need that. They can generate over £2m from one home match against us, we have to find a way to equal that revenue potential. They can sell pre-season friendlies at £1m a pop, we must do the same. They play hardball in the transfer market demanding over inflated fees for their players, we must do similar. I understand we need so much to catch them quickly but we need a healthy club with a clever board and good manager to be able to catch them before they are out of sight. Throwing money at it is not the answer in my opinion. Would you trust the current manager to spend say £10m wisely? I know i wouldn't. They bragged about beating us or drawing with us at Ibrox a few years back with an entire team which cost less than the combined fees for Kyle Lafferty and Maurice Edu to assemble made up of bosmans and gems, it certainly wasn't far off. Quality is out there without spending tens of millions. Guys like Prso, Hemdani and Boumsong prove that.
  14. We, newco had to pay Rapid the remainder of his fee so i don't see why newco would not get the rest of the money from Everton they owe us. I doubt Whyte had the brains to have any such sell on clause tbh.
  15. Irvine sounds like he is the one calling the shots at the club. Scary stuff.
  16. Celtic seem to be on every second week too.
  17. Was this the match Darcheville and Whittaker scored? They may have been poor but it was very enjoyable watching a Rangers side play with such freedom in Europe and so well too. Some of our passing and moving was sensational. It was especially nice after some of the derogatory comments made by their keeper before the match too. No doubt they, like probably every other team who faced us that year, were complacent.
  18. Have to agree that we have under achieved in Europe. Given our alleged standing in the game and resources we had at our disposal some of our results have been humiliating.
  19. This line is dragged up time and time again as if this is exactly what people desire. Can you quote just one post from any Rangers forum to show a member asking us to play football akin to Barcelona standards? Fwiw, Barcelona bore me to tears. It's certainly not how i want to see us playing. As Der Berliner pointed out, Bayern would have been a better example for your hyperbole. As for doubting whether people are actually Rangers fans or not, that is low Ian. I put it to you that it is more likely non Rangers fans would be supportive of Ally given what a mess he is making of our club. Our enemies must be howling at us.
  20. I have been to every home match this season, i have not seen any lovely stuff. I have also watched every away match on the laptop or tv and have not seen any either, Albion R aside. Our most creative and biggest attacking threat is a left back, that says it all. I think he has shown he is clueless, so much so that diddies like Dick Campbell and Jim McInally have had the better of him at times. Of course Ally will always come out on top over the course of a season, he is up against nobodies, spending money we can't afford. It's simply not a level playing field, he has such a huge advantage over everyone else. An improvement on last year is certainly nothing to shout about. I also believe it's a certainty he is not the long term answer, should we go into the SPFL with him in charge then God help us. I am not sure what expectations you have but he isn't meeting mine and i don't think i am being unrealistic. Bottom line is he is driving fans away from Ibrox in their thousands, i have yet to meet one single person who supports him or thinks he is good enough.
  21. Another stupid interview from him. Man up Ally and get on with it.
  22. Hahahahahahaha My goodness. What a fall.
  23. Oh the irony. Will be interesting if the ban is lifted or not. Get it roon ye Billy.
