For such a big guy he doesn't win many 50/50 headers, he is so easy to mark, i agree with you, we should have stuck with Jig up front.
-
Murdoch, Crawford, Law, MacLeod, Telfer, Peralta and Hutton are all centre midfielders. Plenty options. There is 7 choices without Black. Hardly scraping the barrell. The only worry would be up front but even now with Daly we only have 4 options with Daly, Little, Clark and maybe Jig. We have a few youths i would like to see step up who should be given a chance now the league is won.

That is gone, we will hear no more about that. -
MacLeod for Black and McCulloch for Daly.
-
My opinion doesn't really matter, as you say they are both guaranteed starters whether i agree with it or not.
-
Yes. I have only missed 1 game. Black is a passenger and offers us nothing and i don't rate Daly. Age, wage and ability all counting against him as we go forward as a club.
-
Getting rid of all that shite leaves us with the 17 best players. Still a big enough squad and the first team not affected. Yeah, that is genius! If only we had the know how to get it done.
-
We don't need them in the short term either. They are preventing our long term future from being developed. We are not in the top league. By then the wag bill need to be at least £20m. Increasing revenue is key here. That is an absolute must. I don't know many fans how have bought into this Puma deal, i certainly can't. Then there is the 51% Sports Direct deal. I want to know how much money our club is making from this merchandise deal signed by Green and Ashley before i plough an more money in. As for our sponsor, was Blackthorn really the best we could do, a nobody, a nothing name, was that the best we could do? Then there is everything else, ticket sales and the product on the park. Fans walking away bored. There are revenue streams everywhere that need looked at.

How much are we paying Nash? And is the problem just one employee? From the whole board being targeted initially, we are now down to one man. Not bad considering we are paying a near whole squad of imposters.

Green is away, Stockbridge has no bonus this year. What other board members are earning a wage which concerns you?

Excellent news, long overdue. Our squad is a shambles anyway and needs gutted. Perry, Hutton, Smith, Foster, Cribari, are a must to leave. McCulloch, Black, Hegarty, Mitchell, McAusland, Simonsen, Peralta, Shiels and even Daly are no use to us long term, i would let all of them go if possible. That is probably half of our overall playing wage bill there. Only 2 players out of the first team in that list, with the league wrapped up it's the perfect time to go with some of the Under 20's to compliment the best of the rest.

Does he himself have that kind of money to throw around though? Perhaps those from the Emerald Isle pulling his strings do right enough.

I didn't mean to come across like you did Brahim. It was more a general point to everyone. Using European money is fine if it is used after it is earned but spending it before it is earned got us in the shit before and i don't want to see that happen again.

Madjid Bougherra: ‘I’d play at Rangers for free’
Super Cooper replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Call his bluff. Over him a contract worth 0, even for the next 12 months and see what he says. What have we to lose. He has more to lose if truth be told. -
European revenue is nice and should be seen only as a bonus. Never should it be used and assumed to manage annual budgets. Our business model must work around what our turnover is as an SPL club, around the £40m mark as oldco. That is what we are. Should any extra revenue come our way through European football or player sales, it should be used wisely to help develop the club and team. Martin Bain budgeted for European football far too often only for us to fall at the first hurdle leaving us running at a loss. We cannot let that happen again.

Seems a no brainer to me. -
A club wage bill of £250k for Stranraer would surely have them in administration? Seems totally unsustainable. Probably why the chairman is saying it's the killer.

Hull are a decent wee side with a good manager. -
Even if crowds fall further?

That's like a 4 year ban then, is it not?
