Our wage bill under Walter was never under £30m mate was it? £16m seems very low. Celtics averages out at £34m or so, i can't see or remember us winning SPL titles on 16. I wouldn't hold your breath for any investment at that level, i just don't see it, with or without King. I fear this board will be happy playing second fiddle. There is a horrible lack of ambition from them.

Hutton is long term injured mate. 32 games last year and 5 this year before getting injured. Ally seems to like him for some reason. Cole was also given a new deal by McCoist, God knows why.

That and the rest. The way he conducts interviews and speaks to fans these days is disgraceful too.

Kyle Hutton and Darren Cole used to have a laugh between themselves on twitter about how easy training was.

We don't have 11 players we can go forward to the future with. Almost all will need binned within the next 17 months.
-
That will be why we keep trying that embarrassing hit and hope free kick and our crosses don't beat the first man, we don't have time to learn anything else. Oh well, as you were lads. Carry on.

Were you giving it laldy? I bet you were not alone.

Short and sweet. I think you are trying to be too kind and are reluctant to tell us what you really feel. Try not to hold back next time. Emotions and passion are key in this sort of writing.
-
Wouldn't be the first time Ally has put personal feelings ahead of the good of the club.

Yes. It's Barries responsibility i think but Ally, as his elder, employer, manager has a duty to manage him properly. I agree, he needs a boot in the balls but the way Ally has treated him is not how to do it. MacLeod is a wee diamond craig, a very very nice lad. From a very good family too. It's not as black and white as being simply ironic. There is more to it than that. I would rather keep the player who may earn us millions in the future with his full career ahead of him than persist with a man we know is out of his depth and is costing us money. He certainly does but he needs a father figure type to give him good solid advice not fill his head with delusions of grandeur or treat him as Ally does.
-
His attitude is stinking, i know it is. Ally doesn't have a clue how to deal with or treat him though.
-
They probably won't now but had we we cut back on our way up then it would have been necessary to get an infrastructure back in place to handle top tier football.

Probably not knowing our support as i do. You know what they say though, the truth hurts, shame some of our fans simply can't handle it. An ability to look in the mirror and be honest is far more important than lying to oneself and calling it classy or dignified.

M McKay, K Kyle, Bedoya, Celik, Sandaza, Ortiz, McMillan, Cole, K Naismith, Mitchell. There's 10 players, not 1. All given contracts a matter of months before they were terminated/paid off/binned.- 53 replies

Lol. Surely not even Britney is that desperate? -
In the summer of 2012 i would have agreed with you, now we are too close to the big time again. We need to be ready in every way possible for that challenge.

Isn't it just. -
Where though mate? It's certainly not on this £17m staff wage bill. This is what i was trying to get at earlier, what is the money that is missing and how much.

We will only be at this level for another 15 months or so, then we will need to rehire them again. Is it worth paying them off and risk losing them altogether, especially if they are key staff members. There is plenty of deadwood mate. That £10m office bill includes our entire youth set up i am sure and certainly all our coaches and physios etc.

I agree with that absolutely but it doesn't really apply here. Obviously i can't say too much on a public forum.
-
Instead of being vague, tell us where. Who is getting binned? The ticket lady, head of security, groundsman, twitter Dickson, perhaps the club physio and doctor? Allys wage will be cut, Ahmad has gone, the club have started to cut costs since the accounts were applicable. Green, Murray, Mather, Smith, Cartmel, Hart are all gone saving even more. Stockbridge' annual payment will be cut in half. There is over £2m saving right away.

As a club we can't afford mistakes like that though mate. Imagine the uproar if McCoist benched Bell for 34 year old substitute Simonsen. There would be chaos inside and outside the club. I think it is obscene the wages we are throwing at keepers at this level. From Alexander which we couldn't do much about to Bell and Simonsen. It's simply not necessary.
