Our squad is over 30 men deep. This was his way of telling the board he wants more tools to do his job. Paul Ince also done it with Blackpool at the weekend.
-
Walter threatened to walk if Martin Bain was sacked, we do know that. Wasn't aware of Walter possibly being sacked. I think Sir Walter left too early. He should have hung around and smoothed things over through Whytes takeover. Ally was a walkover.
-
I see the same. I am predicting pitch forks and torches at the front door and an empty stadium in our second year back in the SPFL is Ally and his pals are still there.
-
I will fix it for you mate. 3, 4, 5 year plans are no use right now. By then Celtic will be on 8, 9, 10 in a row. The right manager could catch Celtic in year one, two certainly, with our budget, i have no doubt about that. Under Ally and his crew though we will never catch them.
-
Two huge levels of debt in the last 11 years show we couldn't pay the wages before mate, what makes you think we can do it now? As you say the fans can only do so much, we need more revenue from other sources.
-
We should have been building for that since the summer of 2012. It's very possibly now too late.
-
Not at all but many factors are to blame for those thousands, 9 thousand yesterday, who don't bother going to games at all nowadays and Allys brand of non-football is one of those factors.
-
There are no plans for that and if we do forget about Celtic for now we will never catch them. Plans must be in place yesterday. It's of paramount importance we catch them as soon as possible, if only to halt their domestic dominance at first.

I know that mate, i have been saying that for months, it's not a secret either, the club have been telling us. That is my i said our problem is going to be finding the investment we need. Going to a bank to borrow £20m is out, begging King for £20m for players we can't sustainable afford is also out. We need to grow our business quick. If we had that scenario, which we currently don't, i have no doubt people would want to invest big but the club is a shambles right now, the team is a joke and the baord are not trustworthy. We are a mess. I don't see Celtic falling apart at all. The game just gets easier for them as we stumble from one shambles to another.
-
Yeah, i have a few of those around me too. The moans and groans are getting greater and greater with every passing week. The thousands of empty seats speak for themselves, then the mass stadium evacuation on 80 mins. So many fans can't bothered anymore.

The thingis cdynamo, Rangers fans will not accept slow building, Rangers fans will not accept playing second fiddle to Celtic for more than one year and we are also in an unprecedented era where they will be going for 5IAR and could put us out of sight if we aren't already. Gunslinger is spot on that we need huge investment in the team but the problem is how we do it. We will need at least 10 players of European class ability. Men who can play. We only have 1 maybe 2 players who will be of any use to us in 18 months time. The squad needs streamlined fast and our future developed now. We need to be saving every penny we can now. The wages we are paying the dross needs saved not paid out. All those fans who don't go to games, we need back, all those fans unwilling to financially support the club because of the board, we need back and all those fans unwilling to buy merchandise because of the board and deal with Sports Direct we need back. We need to maximise every revenue stream available. Our board will have to work as hard as Ally and the coaching staff to get us ready. There is so much work to be done. I think it's going to be a shambles, we will not be ready and we will be in meltdown again on our return to the top tier. What have we done to expand our business since we became a newco? We have posted a £7m half year loss followed by a £14m annual loss, accepted a third rate shirt manufacturer, accepted a third world shirt sponsor and signed a retail deal with Sports Direct where we only get 51% of the profit. This board are clearly not upto it.

We can qualify next season if we win next seasons Scottish Cup i think and be in Europe in our first season back in the SPL. We need that.
-
Are we though? If we can't beat them living within our means and running prudently then we can no longer call ourselves Scotlands biggest or Premier club. How do you suggest we raise funds? From where? What exactly is it you want mate? King to throw another £20m at us? I posted last week we must copy alot of what Celtic do to compete with them but we are at a huge disadvantage due to their huge revenue potential over ours. Their huge stadium, European football, their Nike deal, their player sales.......we don't have any of that so how can we realistically compete?
-
Yep, i completely agree with that.
-
People will say what more do you want. Winning is the main aim. It's just a shame it came at such a huge cost to us long term, not all Walters fault of course. The whole clubs over a period of time.
-
I could easily have walked out after 30 minutes, i was bored out of my skull. Blind faith probably keeping me there.
-
We may not have had a club to support had all them stayed mate. Who was going to pay them? McGregor himself was on over £100k a month.
-
Why would it? Criticism of Ally using his salary as an excuse to verbally batter him is wrong. He didn't write up his contract.
-
In what way mate?
-
McGregor??
-
What about? I asked a question.
-
Another huge wage for someone to see the obvious?
-
I think Ally is cleverer than that to be honest. He knows exactly what he is doing. No coincidence that we are almost in the middle of a transfer window!
-
Did he not send us one after Walters last title win?
