  1. They have no chance of beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
  2. If you count Hazard as a midfielder then he is the best. I never said City need a striker, I said they need a winger/deep lying forward. IE a player in the three behind the main striker as I don't think Navas is good enough and Nasri has 15 awful games for every good one. I know Nasri is not a winger or deep lying forward but he takes up one of the spaces in the three behind the striker
  3. Which part of my post is rubbish? That they were a top 4 club or that they had top players? Because of these points are facts.
  4. City's squad is weak IMO. No good team has Milner on the bench. Milner would struggler to get a game for Chelsea u12's. Man City severely need a top centre half, central midfielder and winger/deep lying forward. That is just to become a competent team in Europe. We would have romped the title had we not fucked up v Villa and Crystal Palace. This City side is unworthy of beating the glorious Mourinho. It's so frustrating because we have owned the top 6 but fucked up against the weaker teams.
  5. Levein has been proven to be incompetent due to his international and Championship performance but he is 10 times the manager Ally is.
  6. Foster seems to be doing a lot of interviews at the moment, hopefully his next interview is for a new job next season. Scandalous to play a player as useless as that with decent youngsters being held back. My sheep mates absolutely hated him and thought he was useless. Apart from Valencia at Ibrox, he has proven them correct.
  7. Given our performances in the past few years, anyone that can develop a half decent side is going to be problematic. We look dreadful against part-time opposition, a half decent Hearts side would be a real issue.
  8. We don't deserve any credit for winning it. We should be winning it with our reserve team.
  9. A lot of that is way before my time mate so I guess we have different view points. I only really have first hand knowledge of football from the mid 90's.
  10. City are a horrible club. At least Chelsea were a top 4 team before they got a money man and had top players. Before RA came Chelsea were playing quality football with the likes of Zola, Hasselbaink, Di Matteo, Desailly etc. Man City are just Stoke with money. City have all the money in the world yet are completely incompetent in the CL and miles behind the top teams in Europe. Don't see why anyone would like them - I hate them.
  11. 2-0 game, set and match.
  12. You watching the Chelsea game? Stoke are absolutely brutal.
  13. If Scottish football is to ever improve we need all the bigger teams to thrive. Both Edinburgh clubs, Aberdeen, Dundee United etc all need to improve massively to make this healthy competition. The better the league, the better we will get too.
  14. Putting Nasri in my fantasy team looks a good move. He looks to currently be in his yearly run of 5 or 6 good games in a season.
  15. I wanted this but his performance with Forest recently was great. Then again, they spent fuck all money in the summer and were up against teams with far more resources. I'd hazard a guess he's far better than anyone currently in Scotland, the only challenger would be McInnes. But McInnes looked completely out of his depth in England, whereas Davies is known as a decent upper championship level manager. The fact Davies has never gone on to be a success in the Premiership might tell you something, but he's a world apart from what we have and it's not like we are going to be attracting decent premiership level managers in a hurry (if ever). Not that that means anything, the Premiership is a vastly overrated league and there's far better managers on the continent (plus the best Premiership managers are all foreign) The thing that stands out about Davies is he seems to have fairly progressive ideas and after so long under the likes of Eck, Walter and Ally, that would be a good thing. (Ignoring PLG who failed for many reasons) Whatever happens, all I want to see is us passing and moving like a semi competent outfit and frankly I never again want to see the dire, negative mentality we have seen under Eck, Walter and Ally. PS - In conclusion I think we have ideally two options - McInnes or Davies. We aren't going to be attracting any decent foreign coaches with this board. But of course we will stick with Ally until we get embarrassed in the SPL. I predict a hammering from Dundee United but that won't make a difference.
  16. He hasn't had anyone playing particularly good football for a prolonged period.
