    Are you sure about that? You could be sure we would be in crippling debt, I know that much. He and his buddies were handsomely rewarded for running us into the ground on multiple occasions.

    Held their own is pushing it, Bayern had 19 more shots, 65% of possession and dominated both ties. Bayern also had 74% of possession in the first tie plus 12 more shots, which is embarrassing. Man Utd parked the bus but Bayern showed their superiority in the end. Despite there being just 2 goals in the ties overall, the reality is the difference in quality between the sides is more like 2 galaxies. I was worried Man Utd would sneak through because it would have been a crime against football.

    At the end of the day we don't hold any influence whatsoever on who is governing us, unless we adopt a somewhat draconian measure like King is suggesting. You and I could find a group of like minded individuals to find a possible future but so what? We have no collateral so c'est la vie. PS - To answer your point more directly, what relevance does it have if we suggest a good plan? Who the fuck is going to listen? Don't mean to get aggressive with you as you are one of the good guys but its a valid question to your point

    David Murray was a cancer. Of that there is no doubt. Our views are practically identical Hildy, but that man was an absolute bastard. The fact that we've attracted similarly reprehensible characters since doesn't redeem him.

    Hildy, I think sack the board, just sack the board is a pretty fair attitude to have. I can't recall a competent board in my life time, and I imagine this will go on for many, many years.

    Again Hildy, you succinctly tackle the issues at hand. There's questions open regarding King but the current situation is so abhorrent that he seems not worth a second thought. His SA issues and previous involvement with the cantankerous DM are worries, but what is the other option? This is so slight at King, I have the utmost respect for him but his track record has to still be considered. In an ideal world I would like to see us run by a foreign CEO with foreign coaches. Going foreign doesn't guarantee success, but the likes of Germany, Spain and Italy have far more qualified coaches than the UK, have far more insight, and we ultimately need to rid ourselves of the jobs for the boys culture and anything to do with Walter Smith. As great as Walter was domestically, we need to rediscover ourselves and play a modern brand of football. Nobody wants to see the route 1 negative 1980's Scottish football we have become synonymous with.
