  1. RE. "minor mistakes" If you judge this particular spelling mistake of "Grosvenor" as "a loss of credibility" where on the credibility scale is the club ? It might not be a competition, it isn't but last week you had journalist on the official website use "impotence" instead of "impetus". A day after the NOMAD had to correct their regulatory notice a few minutes after publishing it, (This has become a custom). The man supposedly in charge at Ibrox, Sandy Easdale has a loose handle on how to use the English language . What I'm saying is we seem to have become used to and somewhat impervious to the very basic of professional standards throughout the club whilst some want to jump on a spelling mistake by a volunteer. No it isn't professional and it has to be learned from but I think we need to cut the guy some slack and take on board the substance of what is said. Only my opinion.
  2. We know what happened to the Charles Green supported Tannadice boycott. Green welcomed the diversion and a chance to bump his gums whilst he carried out a 21stC corporate 'robbery' in the background and the support in fair number attended the game anyway. By the time the next Livingston away game comes round (31st January 2015) god knows what will have gone on in the more important business of our ongoing soap opera. I'd say priorities ly somewhat closer to home at present, plenty of time in 2015 if there is a will to boycott. It's the club who can act now, if they so wish.
  3. Scottish football is a very particular and strange place where all kinds of weird and 'wonderful' things occur, ............over and over again. It is also very predictable.
  4. Dumbarton Away according to poster on FF. Would be provisionaly played on the 1st of November. League business against same team at same ground a week before on the 25th of October. Xmas come early for the Dumbarton treasurer.

  6. My interpretation of the SPFL rule G7 suggests that isn't the case. See post 18 for rule.
  7. Scottish Professional Football League rule G7 http://spfl.co.uk/docs/067_324__therulesofthespfl_1375800603.pdf It would appear as the effected club must make an application to the SPFL on a game by game basis. ie. No application = No postponment Regards the Cowdenbeath 'plea', the dates below suggests it was always going to fail. 29th September: Cowdenbeath game cancelled http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/7756-cowden-trip-on-hold 02nd October: Moshni Suspension accepted. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/7780-mohsni-suspension-accepted
  8. A few interesting options in there. Bring on Hurlford United v
  9. We now know what Broon was doing with his time during his injury lay-off, learning to read. He's just showing off now.
  10. Would be interesting to see the wording of the particular clause in the rules. It had in the past been reported as if it were an option and Rangers had chosen to have games cancelled. But the media and accuracy don't always go together.
  11. I mention this particular game because of the names of those who might be unavailable (IIRC Shiels is 'back-up' for NI squad). Had it included MacLeod and Wallace aswell, then I could understand it.
  12. Frankly embarrassing. Having this game called off IMO sends out the wrong message, not only to the opposition but to our own players.
  13. When you are in a position of weakness or run as an Omnishambles that doesn't prioritise the football club then we'll remain an easy target. As I said, wait until we get to the top tier and we won't be allowed to forget it. Back in the day, Sir Duped of Murray left this door ajar when he demonstrated that he wasn't particularly interested in protecting the name of the club but was extremely adept and timely when it came to any criticism that was directed towards him. Overtime this proved damaging to the Rangers brand. But what we didn't fully know at the time was where the SDM direction was going to take the club. However, we now see only too well what can happen when the strategic direction and executive control doesn't prioritise the football club or it's reputation. ie. what was born out of the Sir Duped reign, How far do we let this (gravy)train(s) go down the line and where are we as a club in X years ? The Livingston Chairman has felt 'comfortable' enough to apoligize in such a way that in effect reaffirms what was said in the match programme, only to a wider audience. The direction at Rangers will look at this and not give a flying F as to the reputation of the club (despite what they may say) but may or may not look to use it so as to encourage the old 'siege mentality' line for their own advantage, as they have done so often in he past.
  14. This is something that will continually be rammed down our throats when returning to the top tier. This at the same time as sp.ivs have their hand in our pocket grasping for cash and until we as a club are able to dedicate income towards running the football club, opposed to going out the door down SouthSpi.v/SD, we'll have to take the abuse without being able to answer properly on the field.
  15. Thank's for posting that GD ! As usual Shackleton is 'keeping up appearences" but with nothing of substance. Or after so many repeated issues does the NOMAD seem to be taking any significant action to change such slovenly, misleading and poor corporate governance from RIFC. You left Somers very little wriggle room with that first e-mail. You had him 'bang-to-rights' and perhaps he's no intention of replying because the upcoming stage change in the ongoing process may have him leaving. What we have is: CEO: appears to have been misleading the court Chairman: Shown to be a bullshitter, hiding underneath the table. NOMAD: "Nowt to see hear Gov, honest likes"............Who are financially in dire straits, which reflects their 'freindship' with Green / reputation in the City.
  16. Hope your enjoying your holiday GD ! For anyone unsure of what the reply was to, see page 1 of this thread re. e-mail of the 25th of September.
  17. You have to consider that rather than purely natural evolution, this has been in good part 'created' or 'sowed and nutured' by those who have been and are interested in having such a situation. Ashely is very much included within the list of 'interested'. ps. Kelly hasn't arrived yet.
  18. Kelly Brook has just called to ask me if she can come over and stay the night.
  19. That depends on what your 'goal' is. We've been an omnishambles but the spi.vs by and large have achieved their aims. Sp.ivs are interested in filling their pockets, period. There will be different MO's dependent on sp.iv but they all lead in the same direction.
  20. Look for initial gestures, heavy spin about 'the future' and then a little further on, copious amounts of 'expectation management'.
  21. In the absence of X willing to throw XXM at sp.ivs before the XXM needed at the club the situation is next to 'chronic'. What was needed as a matter of priority was firstly, for the support to come together (both monied and masses) to force a change in the dynamic regarding executive control in the boardroom. For various reasons this didn't happen. Now we are the preverbial 'scud book' being handed down between the sp.ivs or in other words, a corporate vehicle from which to make money, rather than a football club. If it continues, we'll simply fade away as a competitive force compared to years gone by, by which time the 'scud book' will be a next to worthless mess.
  22. Once the sp.ivs got a hold, they weren't for letting go unless X was willing to pay through the nose for it. It's far too simplistic to just say to X that they should have chuked XXM at it, then chuck another XXM at it. A situation had been engineered so as to lay a financial minefield and develop a process that used Rangers as a corporate vehicle to extract value from. They aren't for giving up executive control until they there is little or nothing left to extract. This process has stages, between which there is always a heavy propaganda effort to make the new stage appear more palatable than the previous.
