  1. That smacks of what goes on in the mhedia today...Powerful football guy with clout!
  2. Kanchelskis when we signed him was an exciting time full of anticipation for such a player (well, for me!). He didn't live up to expectations, Dick found that out too I believe. A total flop who under performed.
  3. Not many actually...here's how he compared to Wagner and Garner last season in all competitions. Miller: App/+Sub 39+8, Goals 14, Assists 8. Waghorn: 27+14, 16, 10. Garner: 22+12, 10, 3. Most assists last season came from McKay with just 12, the last of which came vs Hamilton (Pedro's first game in charge) where he assisted the 3rd and 4th goals before he was subbed. Edit: Just checked - that was the 6-0 game when Murty was in charge.
  4. I said after last weeks 'debacle' with the cheating ref that we will need 'outstanding' players to overcome it. The players are demoralised, have lost belief over what happened last week, they should but can't turn their anger to getting results on the park, feeling totally useless and what is the point of Scottish football. The ref didn't just cost us 3 points last week...he has cost us the season! We were just about bubbling along nicely playing with belief before what happened against hivs!

    Moult

Moult scores goals for Motherwell because the opposition don't 'park the bus' against them. He'd struggle in a Rangers side...just like Garner, Wagner, McKay and O'Halloran struggled.

You can see why Kenny Miller won't ever be dropped when Ryan Hardie, probably speaking for everyone in the squad, has this to say about him...
  7. Quite surprised at their level of intelligence I might say. They sing a cringey song where they all can spell.
  8. Sinclair is playing in Scotland for a reason...he's not good enough even for a 2nd tier club in England. Watch him and his team getting thumped again in the CL this season. Good player though.
  9. Every club under UEFA should face equal punishment for these offences...percentage of budget.
  10. BBC Sport Scotland pundit and former striker Steven Thompson has aired his surprise and confusion over the decision to overturn midfielder Ryan Jack’s red card. The 25-year-old central midfielder was sent off by referee John Beaton in last weekend’s 3-2 defeat against Hibernian after having a flare-up with Dylan McGeouch and Anthony Stokes where he was judged to move his head aggressively toward them. However, on Thursday it was announced that the Scottish FA panel had decided to rescind the sending off for Jack, allowing him to face Hearts at Ibrox on Saturday. Now, Thompson believes that the red card was rightfully awarded to Jack and that he shouldn’t have had it rescinded, stating he was “surprised” when he heard the decision. “Surprised that Ryan Jack got off with it to be honest,” started Thompson speaking on BBC Sport Scotland’s Facebook page regarding the midfielder’s sending off. “Looking at the footage there definitely looked like there was a headbutt, not a massive headbutt, but you can’t motion your head towards a player, so I’m surprised that he got away with it. “I think the whole thing is shrouded in mystery when it goes to the panel, who’s on the panel, how did they come to the decision? I think they should probably give us more information on how their decisions are made.” http://www.footballinsider247.com/surprised-bbc-pundit-airs-confusion-rangers-midfielder-decision/ Ah...keep up the good work Steven, you'll get to keep your job for now.
  11. They could fill Firhill for a European Semi-final.
  12. I don't have any time for Tam Cowan, BBC Scotland or the MSM of Scotland nowadays. Fitba' news in this country is all about how great Rodgers and co are and how all things connected to Rangers from the boardroom down to their fans are the polar opposite. Rangers FC and their supporters are treated by the media as some kind of disease/poison in Scotland to an extent where 'football fans' of other clubs actually believe it to be true. BBC Scotland and even Tam Cowan I don't mind admitting were pretty good at presenting football at a time when the game needed good reporting with some banter thrown in, those days are long gone now. You can gauge just how much it has changed by watching this BBC pre Cup Final show from 1999. Warning: The patter may be sh1te, the build-up may be sh1te, but the BBC's responsible level headed attitude shown prior to a big game of football has sadly been lost...probably forever.
  13. It was STV's 2nd most important news item tonight - the Lennon death threats with all the previous against him, bullets in the post etc, etc... We'll never move on in this country ever...Lennon knows he can do whatever he wants. Can you imagine the headlines if some guy had jumped the enclosure wall and lamped the c***?
  14. The 4th official said he didn't see Lennon do anything...Aye right! He looks away, he doesn't want to see it, he's scared to do anything about it. What is he afraid of? Shocking!
  15. Haven't seen that angle before...clearly shows Jack 'sticking the heid' on him, ref had no option but to show a red.
  16. Winning 55 is going to be more difficult than ever, it's hard enough when refs make 'honest' mistakes but when they blatantly cheat against us the game is up! Honest mistakes can even themselves out over a season but we will need an outstanding set of players to overcome cheating by officials.
  17. I'd like to also add...well done the ref today! Yes Gersnet has went completely loopy tonight.
  18. Commentator talking there about the off form Ozil, adding he is world class and how usually - "He can piss a pack" He did correct himself.
  19. Would be better for everyone if he gave up his twitter account as well.
  20. As promised. Arsenal 2-1 Leicester Watford 0-3 Liverpool Chelsea 2-0 Burnley Crystal Palace 2-2 Huddersfield Everton 0-1 Stoke Southampton 1-1 Swansea West Brom 1-3 Bournemouth Brighton 1-4 Man City Newcastle 1-3 Tottenham Man Utd 1-0 West Ham The usual suspects to win, along with a shock home defeat for Everton. Edit: Man City for me to race away with the title, I've watched a couple of their pre-season games and they look very dangerous, followed by Liverpool, Man U with Spurs or Arsenal 4th (depends on how Spurs adjust to playing at Wembley). I have a soft spot for Bournemouth and think they will surprise a few this season.
  21. I'll join in on this guys. Predictions will be in before Arsenal/Leicester kicks off.
  22. Just went back on the thread to see what's being posted! Aaaarrrrgh!!! I'm astonished mate, I think you are overreacting to a bit of banter. No. I won't be watching the link you posted, being as I'm not interested in where 'I fit in' because you have already explained it with the primary school dig.
