I am highly in favour of selling Bassey now. We get so caught up in a player's form. We go from 'he's worth £25M but he's too important to be sold' to 'he's p*sh - we'll not make our money back on him' when they have a couple of poor games. When their value peaks, sell them! Bassey's value will never be higher than this.

Brenden Aaronson is a very good player - I'm surprised they got him. He's clearly going for players that suit his style, which is not bad. But, I agree; as a recruitment strategy it's poor. It reminds me of Ange, just buying a bunch of players because he knows them.

I've got a blind spot with GvB. Even afer the remarkable EL run, I can't get past that bad spell after December. I don't know why? I know it's unreasonable to expect him to be sacked - he deserves a couple of windows.

For me, it was his position. I thought he signed as an #8; an attacking midfielder that bombed forward. It didn't work there. Only when he dropped into the #6 position did he start to look good.

Lundstram. When does his numbers increase? What numbers is he getting pre-January? I don't think I'm wrong in thinking most wanted him gone in January, am I? He hadn't done much. (For the record, I didn't want him gone - I still thought he could contribute. I never foresaw his future influence, though. Immense at times.)

The England Cricket team use Castore apparel, along with SA and West Indies. I've just read that Aston Villa, Bayer Leverkusen, Feyenoord and Sevilla will be using their stuff from next season too.
