  1. Someone told me Bougherra got stoned, I got the wrong idea clearly !
  2. Anyone know what sort of odds would've been on this from Ladbrokes or William Hill ???? Just out of interest and the fact I'm gloating !
  3. Gutted I never, car needed a new battery so was out of action most of the afternoon. Freaked me out though, just knew Stewart was going to take the penalty. ps. McManus was ten years late in that tackle with Driver later on in the game, dreadful !!!
  4. Another 35 years so long as you stay clear of kebabs, fags and Whisky ! Drink lot's of red wine and eat your veg................Oooooh maybe I should do a mystic Meg column TOOOOoooo !!
  5. On the Dundee v Rangers thread I fricken nailed this result last night and the fact it was a Michael Stewart penalty freaked me out even more !! The only reason I didna make the bookies to put money on it was because my car was having it's battery replaced by a mate. Gutted !!! McManus didn't even apologise to Driver, what a hard neck !!
  6. Celtic 0 - 1 Hearts Michael Stewart Penalty. "I got a feeling.................."
  7. I also hate to say it but I can't see past the dogged boring Chelski for the league. Watching them play football is like watching a draining bored slowly seep the life out of vegetables but they are the most consistant team so far.
  8. Alan Hutton will be back next season, you heard it here first.
  9. Don't know what to say, knew Hamburg would win but not as happy as I should be, I think it further proves that Scottish football cannot compete with Europe's best, or in our case Europ's minnows. Our two strongest teams are both bottom of the European groups. Sad times for our game in Scotland.
  10. Born in Somalia, there's hope for wee Nacho then surely !
  11. Wee bit.....lol Oh I forgot the brilliant musician (Appearance on Jools Holland show) Julie Fowlis who was a year below me in school and Gail Pire now Gail something else cos she got married, Gail is one of Reporting Scotland's weather girls. She was 2 years above me in school.
  12. I hope you're right, although you do need to be pretty good to get into any Spanish international team, that speaks for itself, again, I believe we've missed out here. Someone can see he has ability, shame it wasn't Walter & co. What you mentioned before: "In the limited time that Aaron had game time with us can you honestly say that he showed any defensive qualities ? I don't think so" Limited time being the word, we saw nothing of him because he wasn't played, we won't know until we see more of him. Again I wish Walter and co gave people more of a chance. If he is playing regularly for Celta Vigo in Spain's second tier then he's already playing in a higher standard than the SPL and is clearly a player. Perhaps there he isn't used defensively at all but we'll never know now unless they get promoted and we see them on Sky Sports maybe.
  13. This is another good reason to have kept Aaron a little longer perhaps: Fleck - Great going forward, no defensive qualities Beasley - Lightweight, the wind knocks him over and injures him McCulloch - Now seen more as centre midfield or centre defense cover Rother - Good set-piece taker, good link-up, no defensive qualities tho Lafferty - Occasionally tracks back when playing left wing, good at studding people in the testicles though ! Stevie Smith - A left-back, not really a left midfielder I just think Walter should've given the Aaron more time, we'll see over the coming years what we've missed out on although would Aaron want to lose his natural skill playing in the kick and rush SPL, probably not !!
  14. He scored and missed a penalty the other night, not being funny but any player who can walk into the Spanish U-21 side and be their main penalty taker must be well thought of despite not playing regular first team football, I think we've lost out there big time !
  15. Dingwall's a very small town and only really Ross County put us on the map, a population of only 5,000 but yet we consistantly produce good footballers, I used to play football every day after school with Don and his 3 big brothers, I think everyone knew back then that he was going to be a great player. I hope he gets his chance, Scotland doesn't produce players with his work-rate, vision and capability of using both feet with ease. I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised if he gets on against Japan. Watch out Tokyo, a Dingwall gadgie is coming !!
  16. My wee town of a Dingwall produced a lad called Don Cowie, he's today been called into the Scotland squad.
  17. Oh dear it's that same old story, Scotland just shouldn't play friendlies or is it that the players just don't want to play for Burley anymore? Anyway without raising another debate on our current international manager it would seem we may be playing a B team against the Japanese: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/8290548.stm 3-0 to Japan is already my prediction and that was before all these withdrawels !!!
  18. It seems every ref plays as much injury time as possible until Man Utd get the goal they need ????
  19. 1-0 Rangers, Jerome Rothen free kick, you heard it here first !!
  20. How much did Rio give Anton as a backhander for that last minute goal??? Hmmmmmm ??
  21. Japan 3-0 and easy ! They'll beat us with their reserve team.
