So because we're a shitshow just now means we can't remember previous triumphs? Are we only allowed to remember days like Helicopter Sunday or Barcelona if we're being successful?
-
Not seen this mentioned, but yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Helicopter Sunday. What a day it was - Motherwell managed by former Ranger Terry Butcher winning 2-1 thanks to two late goals from Celtic bound Scott McDonald. Rangers defeating Hibs 1-0 where both teams settled for 1-0 long before the final whistle (score suited both teams). Rangers fans belting out Sunshine On Leith whilst awaiting the arrival of the helicopter/trophy. Marvin Andrews defying all medical advice and somehow managing to play through a serious injury in the title run in. He also delivered the now famous Keep Believing message. We'll all have our stories and memories of that day and I was lucky enough to be there that day. Still can't quite believe what happened in those closing minutes.

Our board are more concerned about UB Tifos than "corrupt" officials. -
Without the goal threat McDonald had.

Don't think it's all to do with our "track record". Look at the Billy Gilmour scenario, Chelsea basically made it impossible for the lad to turn down the move. We simply can't compete with that these clubs can offer. -
OFFICIAL Rangers appoint Russell Martin as head coach

Dave King, despite what some Rangers fans say and think, is close to the discussions and will know where the process stands. Also, it's been widely reported in fan media that the conclusion date is end of May / start of June. We haven't reached the end of May yet, still a week to go, and as someone once said, a week is a long time in football. -

He is very highly rated so wouldn't be surprised if he gets a move sooner rather than later. -
OFFICIAL Rangers appoint Russell Martin as head coach

Nothing is holding up the process, other than the complexities of any takeover. Didn't Dave King say everything is moving along and all that was outstanding was getting the footballing authorities "blessing". The timescale for completion was always late May, early June. Maybe it's all down to that word that gets banded around in here, patience...... -

Hasty? He is our longest serving manager in the last decade is he not? -
Poll 2: Electric Boogaloo: Who would you prefer to be the new manager?
CammyF replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
As I mentioned on another thread, he lhas been at the Training Complex very recently. Might not be related to the vacant managers role. -

For the record, Gerrard's wife didn't move to Scotland when Gerrard was here previously. -

Apologies, comment wasn't aimed at you, poorly worded. From what fan media are saying it's Stewart, Thelwall and Cavanagh. -
OFFICIAL Rangers appoint Russell Martin as head coach

No. I just heard he was interviewed and no reason to disbelieve the person who told me. He isn't the only candidate to be have been interviewed. I've heard Frank Lampard was at Training Complex recently but his appearance there may not be linked to vacant managers role. -
You forgot to post the "season over" date....

If it's Gerrard it won't be announced any time soon (he has been interviewed) due to tax implications after returning to UK. There is also the additional complication of his wife refusing to move to Scotland. -
One I grew to like whilst living / working in North America

An all to familiar story.....

There is as you said toy didn't say it, then it's not what you meant and now you did say it - so do we need European success to move forward as a club? And if so what level of success is required. Not difficult questions to answer
-
I didn't write the OP so why ask me Why not move on from one word in the title and let us know your thoughts on the content. If you disagree with any of it, write a response.

So the UEFA want Athletic in the EL Final conspiracy theories being ripped apart tonight.
-
Who said we were on a throne? We're habitually 2nd best in a 2 horse race, need loans to see us to the end of the season and continue to make horrific decisions both football and financial. Why is that? It's NOTHING to be with thrones.
-
So did you say it and what did you mean by it?
-
Really? That's what you've taken from the article and commentaries? What's your take on where we find ourselves?
-
I don't think anyone is saying that. However, I hope I'm not alone in believing that's the European level we should be at every season (as a minimum). The "debate" is whether the money we've made from these runs in Europe (and player sales on the back of those runs) has ultimately helped drive us forward.

So you never said this Success it has been in one area where we need it before going any further
