We regained top spot well into the new year. I think we beat Clydebank away and Celtic lost at home to Hibs (IIRC). For me, the turning point was the LCF victory in late Novemebr. Until then it wasn't "clicking" and we weren't looking like Champions.

Souness team crammed with internationals lost their first 2 league games. Were sitting four and fifth in league until around November (IIRC). Imagine if we had sacked him in August after losing two league games.

He's had 5 games with his new players. He deserves longer than that. Notice you conveniently ignored my question on how long any new manager would get.

But he doesn't have full control of transfers. He has said himself he worked closely with Park and some targets were already on the Wilson list. Bisgrove was also involved especially when it came to fees and wages. Doesn't matter who any new DoF appoints as a manger, after one defeat we'll all want the DoF and manager chased.

We did. We've had a huge turnover of players and gotten what we wanted. Not long ago most were saying it was the best transfer window for years. I honestly don't think we'll ever be happy with the team, manager, results, trophies. We are such a entitled bunch of supporters

The bottom line is the vast majority of Rangers fans wanted the squad ripped apart and players chased. This is what we've done over the summer and to think that there would somehow be a magical and instant turning into prime Barca was fanciful at best, madness even. Instant gratification is a must these days.

So we just write of another manager and 9 players and go through the same process again (sack manager and change the entire squad). We all wanted SG/Gio's squad ripped apart. We all wanted the "serial lossers" chased. We got what we wanted and after 5 competitive games (1 loss) we want it all changed again. We're a patient bunch if nothing else.

When I started following Rangers we were way behind Aberdeen, Dundee UTD and Celtic and finished 4th of 5th in the league. So you are correct, we were no better than St Johnstone. Thankfully no Internet then, you had to go and suffer weekly and take your medicine. Every season (and Cup Semi / Final) would start with the chant "Don't Let Us Down Again", which was always a forlorn hope.

It's playoff game where success will bring us all the financial benefits of the CL and the heartache of playing teams vastly superior to ourselves. As fans we'll berate the team if we fail to get there, or berate the team for the performances / results in the group stages if we qualify. Either way, we'll get the opportunity to slate the players and coaching staff, so it's a win win really........

Dessers could / should have had a hatrick today. Scored one, had one disallowed and a good assist for Danilo goal. Think the lad will come good. Also can't see why people are writing Lammers off so soon. Looked good in pre-season and scored last week.

I've just watched a 6min highlight package and it made us look decent. Seemed to make a few decent chances and their keeper made a few very good saves.Both pens looked very soft.

Here is our team from the last time we played Morton. Scraped a 2-1 win.

Different topic and I agree 100%. However, clubs have the right to reduce allocations and look after their own fans. It's what we do, so we can't complain when it's reciprocated.

Hopefully 🙂 No issues with other teams cutting our allocations and as others have said, it has been done previously by Hibs, Hearts and Motherwell even when we were in the Championship
