  1. But historically, TBO and UB have always split their TIFOs between club and characters. As Gonzo79 already said, they've had the Iron Maiden "mascot' Eddie - not Rangers related, but a great banner. If the UBs were only doing "non-Rangers" displays then I'd be asking questions, but I'm OK with the "mix"
  2. Take away the depicted character, didn't you think the display was inspiring? Did it become less inspiring once you knew who was depicted on the flag? Our displays are always amazing and add to the spectacul.
  3. Our two CBs were brilliant last night and both full backs coped admirably against PSVs pace. In the lead up to the game, many (including some on here) were predicting that Tav and Borna would be "ripped to shreds" and we'd get a "doing". Thankfully neither materialised. PSV strength is pace down the flanks, it was using this pace in the previous round that ensured they won convincingly home and away and many fearing for Tav and Borna. We managed, for the most part to nullify this last night and if we are to progress, will need to do the same / better next week.
  4. A few contenders and most have been mentioned by others. I've gone with Dessers as he was key to both our goals but could easily have been Butland, Goldson, Souttar, Cantwell.....
  5. Not really relevent to this topic, but it was good to see Tom Lawrence played an hour for B Team today and scored in a 4-2 win over Hamilton. Think he is still a few weeks away from 1st team action.
  6. You're obviously fishing here.... Like you I was underneath the banner so didn't see it, but wasn't surprised by those who felt "aggrieved" at it
  7. Think Cifuentes got better as the game progressed and it was good to see Tav constantly talking to him. You're 100% correct regarding Lundstram - he was really good when he came on and don't know if it was coincidence or not, but we then began to dominate the game
  8. Reflecting on the game, our much maligned defence played very well despite losing 2 goals, especially one from a set-piece. Goldson and Souttar were rocks at the heart of the defence. Butland had a good game as well. Our much maligned attackers also played well / were effective with Sima and Matondo scoring marvelous goals and Dessers claiming 2 assists. The let down for me was the midfield. Jack, Raskin and Cifu were very poor last night. Thought PSV tired and / or looked nervous in the final 10 minutes of the game and we were unlucky not to score a third (Danilo chance and Matondo's rocket from edge of box). The tie is on a knife edge, but with the same level of commitment and performance next week, getting a result is not out of the realms of possibility. Also, thought the subs were correct and at the right time.
  9. Decent performance and an entertaining game. Still very much in the tie which if we're being honest, we'd have taken prior to kick off.
  10. Pity we couldn't hold on to the lead for a little longer. Been a good game.
  11. Jack, Raskin and Cifu being completely over-ran in midfield.
  12. Hope you're all.still watching midsommer murders....... Been a tough 1st half, but that worldy from Sima gives us something to hold on to .
  13. Raskin's reluctance to play the ball outside is frustrating - 3 or 4 times now.
  14. Hundreds of tickets for sale outside the ground, small bamd of travelling PSV fans. Has CL lost its magic?
  15. Rangers 1 v 1 PSV Tav FGS
  16. From earlier in the year...
  17. Aye but only if Hagi and Kamara play and we bring back Morelos. Otherwise we're on to a spanking.
  18. But he will play against PSV - Hagi has been omitted from the CL squad and looks like he doesn't have a future at Rangers.
  19. So are you dropping Cantwell for Hagi?
  20. He's not playing for a reason. He wants away and we want to sell him. Given how bad his performances were last season maybe his value will increase if he's not playing.
  21. So who do we drop to accommodate Kamara? Another player we wanted rid off now we're wanting him to play so we can sell him. Place is bonkers at times.
  22. So now Hagi has become the latest player to become a better player the more he doesn't play. He's looked off the pace since returning from injury and look slow and languid. He never had pace to burn, but lost 1/2 yard. We wanted rid of all these failures, now we want to keep them. Make your mind up folks.
