But it has to be the right players. I'm sure Gio had a list of players that he'd liked and given them to Wislon. Then Gio was removed and Beale may have looked at that list and told Wilson to throw it in the bin, and supplied a list of players he'd like. There is no guarantee with 1, 2, 3 or 11 new players that we'd defeat Aberdeen, St Johnstone or anyone else for that matter, that's not how football works. We should have sufficient to defeat St Johnstone as long as we turn up and play to our strengths (new players in squad or not).

The manager said yesterday he is happy with the way the transfers are progressing. Would you rather we signed any Tom, Dick or Harry to appease the "supporters" or work hard to ensure we sign the correct players who'll help the manager achieve his goals and the club theirs? Looks like Cantwell is close, we've had an initial bid for the lad from Swansea knocked back (I'm sure there will be some ongoing negotiations there). If we haven't signed anyone after the window closes, then that's the time to question Wilson and / or the board. In the meantime, stick a couple of tinnies in the fridge, relax and enjoy tonight's game.

That's what I liked about SGs system - Tav and Borna were our wide players who played very high up the pitch.

Manager has already ruled out loans unless its with players who'll sign in the summer. Disappointed that we've not brought anyone in as yet but would rather we take our time and get the players the manager wants. I was hoping for a couple of signings this week, hopefully can still happen as it'd only Tuesday 😀

I like Scott Wright, have done since he played for Aberdeen so was pleased when we signed him. I never expected him to be a Laudrup or Cooper or even a Neil McCann, but was hoping he could cement a place in our team. He has been unable to do this, but still think he is a decent squad player and he has delivered in cup semi-final and final. I liked Beale's comments about instructing Wright to be more direct as that's when he is at his best. Hopefully Beale and his team can improve SW's contribution as I think their is a player hiding somewhere inside Scott Wright.
