So sad to hear and a very fitting tribute Frankie. Thoughts, condolences and prayers with his family at this tragic time. Cammy F

Sorry SBS not telling me or many others anything we don't already know

15 shots but how many on target? We struggled for a 20 minute period then we changed our formation and slowly got back on top, thanks mainly to Temps directness. We had glaring chances (at least two balls fizzing along the 6 yard line just awiting a touch, one which saw Wallace blatantly fouled as he was attempting to get on the end of MCLoeds cross, Boyd just failing to score in the 89th minute plus a headet from 6 yards he headed into the ground and over the bar, he also unlucky to have a goal chopped off and hit the side netting in the first minutes. No one is saying we were brilliant, we weren't but you get the feeling some fans take delight if we dont play well as it gives them more ammunition to attack anything and everything attached to the club. Sure we would love to have a board that cared (which we haven't had for decades) and a team rammed with great players coached by the best manager in the world. We are where we are and we do deserve so much better but have two options - look for some positive to build on or just moan like feck. so I look forward to seeing us against hertz on Sunday with hopefully lots to be happy about after the final whistle. Last word on last night would you prefer to be in our position (in the next round) our in Hibs position, out on their arses?

Regarding Lee Wallace, he always looks more comfortable with someone in front of him that he can link up with. He improved no end when Temps was introduced. As someone said earlier, when Smith got an extended run last season due to wallaces injury, he did as well, if not better than Wallace - his distribution was better, his final ball was better and he was a genuine goal threat. Wallace gets up and down quicker but appears to have lost sharpness and the killer final ball. Hopefully he will rediscover it quickly. Just rewatched the game and we did play some decent stuff and created some decent chances. We also had two very reasonable penalty shouts

Sorry aweebluesoandso but if the Orange Order / Presbyterian is your heritage and culture, you really should join the order and / or church. Both would be delighted with your joining as their memberships are dwindling. It would also ensure their longevity.

Like the threads on the board, I have deliberately refrained from posting on our current manager. For the record, I want Mccoist replaced and said when he was appointed, he was never a Rangers manager (he is however a Rangers legend). I have a little snigger to myself when I read that the board won't or can't replace him yet we are to believe greenco are still calling the shots. IIRC Green had the measure of Ally and his cohorts and slated them on a regular basis saying exactly what most of us are saying now. IMO if Green was still around Mccoist would have been relieved of his duties by now. However, the level and frequency of abuse Mccoist receives is frightening and against my better judgement I have seen me trying to defend him on ooccasion where I felt the overly critical criticism was uncalled for. Yes we need a new manager but rightly or wrongly we won't get one until he fails to gain promotion no matter who is in control. I would like to finish this post by wishing the manager, management team and players the very best of luck on the eve of a new season - lets do it. Cammy F

Poll for the Venue for the Second Semi Annual Gersnet Dinner
CammyF replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Will endeavour to make this. Someone just remind me nearer the time as my memory not what it used to be :-) -
4-3-3 for me ; Bell Foster Mcgregor Moshni Wallace Law Black McLoed Aird Miller Templeton If Boyd signs play him in the middle with miller and either aird or templeton To me we are a decent right back and right sided midfielder / winger away from a decent team. Expect Ally to stick with 4-4-1-1 tho
-
I will take any player whether they be ex players or not that will improve the quality of our team / squad and help in our ultimate goal of getting back to the top of Scottish football. Miller and Boyd certainly tick those boxes - two of the best strikers / goalscorers to grace our game recently. We are certainly better off with them than without them.

Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours

Agreed - I maybe should have expanded - he was talking about the way they played as a team and was very impressed with what he saw -

Was speaking to a mate who is a massive Pars fan at the last game of the season and he said that the best team he had witnessed last season was our u20 team. In my opinion Boyd falls into the same category as Miller better than what we currently have, will add quality and better playing for us than against us. -
Yeah and that worked out well for us. ....

Sorry thought the board had stated that the next share issue was only open to existing shareholders - hence blocking out King - hadn't realised they had set a limit on how many you could buy - bang goes my chance to buy a controlling stake :-)
-
Got hoodwinked by Whyte.. rolls eyes. .... don't get me started on him ..... :-)
-
This is my fear and all fans should realise it is a major concern & lokely hood. As for picking up the pieces from there - who, how and start at the bottom AGAIN? Do we believe that if that did happen Rangers would survive? ?????
-
GS - I may be being far to simplistic here but if Dave King had purchased some shares on the open market in the last 12 months then he would automatically be entitled to participate in any future share issue????? Apologies if this is incorrect but thats how I see it???
-
With all due respect, I fear there is no next move for King. I hope that all fans hanging onto the notion that there will be are correct, as the alternative isnt worth thinking about
-
All about opinions mate - saying that I could never spot a player - I used to sing the praises of Charlie Adam :-)
-
It'll depend on who we play - if we have Hibs or Hearts we will have a decent crowd. I would say 17K is the middle of the road figure - not great for the board but probably more than those with holding were hoping for. Horrible situation as there is no 'right' course of action. Just fear admin 2 or liquidation as there will be no return from that in my opinion.
-
Must be in the minority here but I think Hutton has what it takes to become a decent player. Maybe with a decent coach..........
-
Well I am one of those who have renewed and I certainly ain't a supporter of the current board. I was one of David Murrays fiercest critics for over a decade but continued to purchase a season ticket so I see my decision to buy this season as no different. The way I saw it, and this is only my opinion, is that administration 2 and / or a further liquidation will be the end of our club so I thought damned if I did, damned if I didn't. As for the numbers, probably a little more than I imagined.
-
Well I will have to reserve judgement as I know absolutely nothing about McGregor.
-
This for me as well. Day he becomes our manager is the day I stop going

Also see Don Cowie being linked. For what it's worth, I worked beside a Cardiff season ticket holder who rated him very highly.
