  1. In an ideal world but Rangers at this moment in time are a million miles away from an ideal world. Again I can't believe I am defending ally but he has given youngsters their chance. Lets be honest here, if we had 11 Lewis McLoeds or Fraser Airds we would be sorted but we don't. A long term vision would be great but we have not had the correct custodian to deliver this and probably never will have. Like it or not Rangers must win every game - if we dont its akin to a major disaster
  2. Agree Mate but Miller is vastly experienced and has previously won over his doubters. He has shown he can handle the pressure and I think it would be grossly unfair on a youngster to hero pressure on them to get 20+ goals that could win us the title. Whilst Gallagher looked decent in his fleeting appearances he did not look outstanding merely a promising raw kid. Miller will help him and others off and on the pitch and I would say he is the best (by far) forward we have on our books. Put another way,if Miller had signed for Hibs or Hearts would it have made them more or less of a challenge to us next season? As for Ally he can depart tomorrow for me, I have no faith in his managerial / coaching abilities.
  3. With all due respect we MUST win promotion at the first attempt so is gambling on Gallagher the right option? Is it fair to the lad to put the pressure of promotion on his young shoulders? Mccoist is in a no win situation - signs players who in theory should ensure promotion and get slated or gamble on unproven youngsters and fail and get slated - and this is coming from someone who would like him removed - agreed that we missed a chance two seasons ago but stakes are too high now
  4. For where we are at the moment, the resigning of Kenny Miller is an excellent signing. He adds much needed quality in the forward areas. Lets be honest with ourselves, we MUST gain promotion back to the top flight instantly and there is no doubt that Miller will help achieve this (as would Boyd - but its less certain that he will join Miller at Ibrox). 5. No longer buy or wear football tops but think this is a winner and will sell shedloads of these. May even have to rethink my decision and buy this - if it looks as gd close up CammyF
  6. What price league reconstruction during close-season. ....... SPFL a complete dead duck
  7. We require a right back, two centre-halves, right sided midfielder and a striker - our funds might stretch to a new corner flag
  8. This could be interesting - be prepared for a hundred pager :-)
  9. Haha possibly :-) The McKay story came from someone I trust impeccably. Little / Mitchell story came from a friend who was a guest in hospitality at Falkirk on Saturday. The others are probably just the usual rumours doing the rounds lol
  10. Barry McKay could be another on his way out as if rumours are to be believed he and our manager had a massive falling out - hence him being loaned to Morton.......! File Templeton in the same category apparently. ....!
  11. Their interest in Boyd may cool now Levin is there but I have heard Boyd tops their wanted list. Agree about Little, I would have liked to see him stay only drawback was his*injuries.
  12. Andy Little and Andrew Mitchell both interesting Falkirk and Kris Boyd top of Hearts wanted list
  13. Terrible news - thoughts and prayers with his family - RIP Sandy
  14. RIP Coop - Simply The Best
  15. One of the best articles I have read in a while. The type of article the mainstream media appear unable or unwilling to produce.
  16. I think this has been posted iby someone else in another thread - call their bluff - 25, 000 tickets , payment up front and no return facility
  17. Sad, Sad news - always remember him as a good player and was a mainstay of the Rangers team in the era when I began follow following on a regular basis. Thoughts and prayers with his family and friends at this sad time. Cammy F
  18. Not saying I agree with RANGERRAB but just the way I see it.
  19. All the very best to all you and yours - have a wonderful 2014
  20. Who is goong to be stupid enough to bid for players (plus pay their current wages) for players who are either not fearuring regularly and / or permanently injured (well apart from us). Only player likely to attract any serious attention during the transfet window will be wallace. I don't think we will be in a position to reject any bid over £1M for him (also a top earner of the wage bill) No other reason for us resigning Smith in the summer other than him being a long term replacement for Wallace. Some SPhell clubs may sniff around the likes of Daly, Black , Templeton et al and chance their hands with cheeky bids to test our resolve given our current financial situation. More bleak times ahead
  21. Not long back from the Fernando Ricksen night in the Louden and what a pleasure it was to be in this brave mans company tonight. God Bless & Stay Strong Fernando Cammy F
