  1. And he helps run a Craptic Supporters Bus.... Cammy F
  2. A new twist to this story - according to Craptic Quick News, Craptic have been reported to UEFA over their singing. http://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/2006/08/uefa-to-investigate-celtic-for.shtml Read the thread and read the replies, it appears they have fans in denial, fans willing to change and fans who hate the sectarian baggage - does any of that sound fimiliar? Cammy F
  3. Honestly Jim, I think it depends on OUR attitude - if you go onto a forum like that Tim did, post what he wrote, in the tone he wrote it, off course you are going to get ripped - you really wouldn't exspect anything else would you? The West Brom forum is more hostile to Wolves, Birmingham and Villa fans than it is to Scottish posters, but if you went on and saide 'West Brom are pants, Rangers are the greatest club in the world, WBA play in a shit league' what response would you expect? Put it this way, if a Arsenal fan came on here and spoke about his team whilst also praising Rangers and showing knowledge about the club he is going to be welcomed. If he came on and said that Arsenal were the greatest thing since sliced-bread and that we were all jumped up Scots, he'd get ripped. As I have said, I have written for a Chelsea fanzine, I am a member of a WBA forum and I have been invited to England games thro friends and work colleagues and have yet to be met by anyone who disrespects Scotland and Scottish football - in fact, most want tickets to see Rangers. 4. I noticed a letter in The Scotsman's Sport section yesterday from a non-OF fan who claimed that the SFA should insist that ALL Scottish Clubs have a saltire incorporated into their strip and have one flown from their stadium. The author then went on to say that this would help with secterianism and with the 'problems' of Rangers and Craptic fans thinking themsevles as British (English) and Irish. They then went on to say that the Union Flag isn't sufficient as it wasn't a 'Scottish Flag'. Now, leaving out the obvious anti-Rangers undertones to this letter (I am only interested in Rangers here), who wants to point out to the author that one Scottish team DOES have a saltire incorporated into their top and has had for 2 seasons now? That'll be the same team that enters the field flanked by 2 HUGE Saltires as well? This is the ignorance and stupidity that we are up against - hopefully a reply to this letter will be the first agenda item for our new PR gurus Cammy F
  5. For the first game of a new season, with a new coach, a nerw regime, new players etc, I thought we were magnificant. The system that PLG plays does leave one player up front and at times they look isolated. However, he likes the wide men and the player playing 'off' the striker to get forward and support when we have the ball and get back and defend when we don't. IMO, the only time Prso looked isolated was when we played the ball long and that was when Motherwell came back into the game. The players are going to take a few games to get into this system and get the best out of it, but if we stick to this system and the players get fitter and gel, we are going to destroy a lot of teams this year. Cammy F
  6. But how can he change the team that played so well at Motherwell? We all agreed that the team were magnificant and that no one deserves to be dropped. To get Boyd into the system that we are playing, Dado will either have to drop to the bench or move to the attacking left position of the player 'off' the striker. So, Adam or Buffel would have to drop to the bench. Great dilema for PLG to have. Cammy F
  7. Jim, I think a lot of the replies were written with the tone of the original post in mind and many were probably 'tongue in cheek'. I am, and have been a member of a West brom forum for many years now and I am treated with respect and the members have a healthy knowledge of Scottish football domesitcally and internationally. I also an occaisional contributed to a Chelsea fanzine in the early 80's and my 'pitch' was a Scotsman view of Chelsea, the English leagues and to give them a viewpoint on Scottish football. I met the guys that wrote / edited and published the fanzine at the Rangers v Chelsea friendlies from the Bradford Fire Fund and struck up a good freindship with them and they got me involved in their zine. 8. Hallelujah. Cammy F
  9. The ironic thing is Jim, they claim to 'hate Craptic' yet their behaviour takes the spotlight away from Craptic If we take 2 steps (ending the fooking of the pope and refraining from singing the billy boys) all the pressure is going to go on THEM. We will have their media lap-dogs in the press telling everyone that RB, GSTQ etc are sectarian, but they aren't and their fixation with Rangers will show them up to as the bigots that they are. Cammy F
  10. Whilst Wija's 'timmy in disguise' was uncalled for, so was the above statement. Some people on here have a fixation with 'Englishism' and anything attached with it. As for your points Calscot, Rangers are bigger than Portsmouth, we do have a better (and bigger) stadium than them, but I prefer not to boast or rant about that. We have no compitition with Portsmouth so it is hard to compare like for like. Rangers are the most successful club in the world, we have IMO the best stadium in the world and have the best support in the world - would a Portsmouth fan agree, no they wouldn't - who is right? that is up to others to determine. Cammy F
  11. PLG's prefered formation is the one he played on Sunday - I can't see him alternating from that in to many games. That means if Boyd is to start as the lone striker, then somone is going to drop out. The choices are replace Buffel with Prso (can't see that happening), replace Adam with Prso (a possibility) or leave the team as it was on Sunday. Given Dado's knee problems and the fact that he played in the WC I can see a straight swap on Saturday, Boyd for Prso. Cammy F
  12. It appears that we have been reported to the SFA for sectarian singing at Motherwell on Sunday and the SFA are dispatching delegates to Ibrox on Saturday and to Tynecastle on Sunday. Moreover, it has been reported that Craptic were reported to the SFA for sectarian and IRA chanting at the last game of the season at The Dungheap and the SFA are wanting a report from Tynecastle this Sunday. This has led to Peter Lawell printing an open letter to fans in this weeks Craptic View pleading for them to drop sectarian and IRA chanting as he fears a backlash from the SFA and UEFA. This proves that the SFA and UEFA spotlight isn't going to move from us this season, so we need to box clever - if we can drop the EF***EE'ing and The Billy Boys we can exert preasure on the REAL bigots. As many of us have said on here, the Craptic minded media in Scotland don't want us to stop singing EF***EE'ing and The Billy Boys, because if we do, the spotlight is going to be firmly on the REAL bigots. Come on Bears, wise up and lets put preasure on the REAL bigots Cammy F
  13. Same here, when I was at high school there were only really about 5-6 Rangers fans in my class and I was the only one going to games (along with guys in the year above me and below me). I was safe to say that Rangers fans were in the minority at my high school - Hibs, Hearts, Abergreen, DUFC, Craptic, Falkirk etc all had a larger support at my high school. I was lucky that my mums family are from Glasgow (near Hampden) and all my uncles supported Rangers and my old man did as well, so I was brought up to love Rangers - not just because they 'were' successful, but due to everything that surrounds Rangers Football Club - you know what I mean, that feeling you get being a Ranger - it's so hard to put into words - we are not made, we are CHOSEN. Cammy F
  14. Bugger, won't be able to make that as I have been promoted onto the committee of our RSC bus and have certain duties to perform on the bus on Saturday However, will be there is spirit.... Cammy F
  15. But there is only one way to make it a popular tabloid - give articles like this circulation within Rangers circles and get people buying this paper instead of the rags like The Liam, Post and News Of The Screws!!! Cammy F
  16. Meant to add that I'd get a picture of the banner up as soon as I receive it back from the printers. Also, keep your cameras and phones ready to see if you can get a snap of it on Saturday Cammy F
  17. But giving 110% every week doesn't meant hat he'd be any good at right back. Most, if not all on here would give PLG 110% every week - doesn't mean we'd make decent right backs Cammy F
  18. Legget is always fair and impartial (thats all we ask for) and I would urge all Rangers fans to make this thier Sunday purchase as articles like this deserve wider circulation. Cammy F
  19. There is an official version of this song that was once sung at Ibrox - hopefully it can be once again.... Cammy F
  20. A fantastic article by David Legget (Sunday People); Cammy F
  21. Agreed, but the offensive line is starting to diminish already, especially at Ibrox and I noticed a lot of people around me stop singing when it came to the ****** blood line. Cammy F
  22. Just an update to say that the new banner is currently being printed and will be returned to me by the end of this week. Once again, thanks to Del for getting this stitched together and to everyone who donated towards the printing. Hopefully the banner will make its debut at Ibrox on Saturday. Now I'm away back to that 80's video site Cammy F
  23. With the introduction of Wolverhampton Town on Saturday, it looks like the club are at long last, trying to reintroduce real Rangers songs (I wonder how many will be caught out with the 'theres not a team like the Glasgow Rangers' line:) ) . I long for the day where we are singing songs like The Blue Sea Of Ibrox, Every Other Saturday, The Rangers Chorus, The Famous Glasgow Rangers, Rangers Over Here, It's Rangers For Me, Wolverhampton Town etc all game rather than 'orange tunes'.... Tomorrow

    Not at £12 a ticket... Cammy F
  25. But Hutton has had time - he isn't a raw youngster - he was played in the team for around 2 years, this being his 3rd season as a first squad player. Whilst Adam was at fault for the Motherwell goal yesterday, when he chose to shoot rather than pass to Smith, Hutton allowed McCormack room to cross the ball into the box. McCormack was given room and TIME to measure a cross, in fact, Svensson was caught out as he was trying to get across to cut out the cross, leaving O'Donnell with acres of room. He (or anyone else for that matter) can not continue to make basic errors like this that cost us goals and or games. Maybe I am being harsh and over critical, but IMO Hutton should be more solid than he is, given the experience that he has. Cammy F
