The mhanks being so far ahead of everybody else is no surprise as their results against top 6 teams prove.Us scrapping with the sheep I am quite happy with as the squad came through an easy Championship ride and were always going to find it difficult in the top league. So at the moment i am staying a glass half full optimist.

As I said I do not condone the alleged abuse but Tavernier is to me one of the problems in the team,cannot defend,posted missing from right side berth too often among other things.Hard to believe MW instructs him to forsake his defensive duties to take corners on left hand side of field if so it is ludicrous.

Feel that this is totally out of order if anything Ta vernier should be getting the abuse as his lack of playing in his own position puts so many of his team mates under pressure on the field especially Kiernan. Not condoning such actions of course.

On the outside looking in is always hard and full of speculation if only we got something official from inside to out then we might understand what the situation is,clarity has not been forthcoming from this board and will have a lot of us soul-searching with regard to next season.

Positive's we should at least finish 3rd,which was acceptable to me pre season starting,negatives some of the meek surrender in games instead of "NO SURRENDER".

We will need a bit of experience and if he is not tied up with Hill it looks as if we would have to rely on a team of probably mainly if not all under 30,s a big ask of youngsters IMO.

The "two footed " thing has p****d me off for so long,as professional players,unless you have the sublime talents of a Jim Baxter or Davy Cooper,is something that all coaches should be teaching? them to do. Too many moves fall down/fizzle out and the number of chances missed because of their inability borders on criminal.

Obviously Miller is a hot discussion topic but no one can dispute his work rate,discipline etc. It looked as if a decent partnership was going to develop with him and Hyndman and what happens MW plays Hyndman out of position in place of Halliday so things back to square one . The squad definitely needs strengthening and whilst Miller is that bit older he is needed to give experience. I agree that goalscorers are neede but until MW finds tactics that don't involve passing the ball to death it aint going to happen.

Okay we are going to be a massive amount of points behind the yahoos but that is not a big thing as we were never going to compete for the title this season or probabvly next two or three.We need to focus on competing for second now we are in that position. Miller and Hill have been a reason we are at this stage with their performances and deserve another one year deal to use their experience to assist developing youngsters,otherwise who can help on the field in this area?

I fear for the future with this news obviously Warburton has no voice.

Glad to see many of you agreeing with what I have been saying from last season and on a few occasions this season about Wallace and also the way our centre backs are left exposed,fix this problem and we are more than halfway there. I still think Wallace should be club captain but should be seconded to a leader when we are on the pitch.

After second goal heads went down and panic set in nobody wanted to hold on to the ball and passes were too quick and went astray.As I have often said Wallace is club captain but lacks leadership on the park,we need some more forceful who can do the job but the question is who?. All the talk of spending seems to be focussed on need players but much has been spent on the infrastructure as the place is/was looking tired,so a steady balancing act is required regards use of funds. We have many ex players commenting from their places of abode,many overseas,we have to tap this and try to follow up on any recommendations until a proper scouting system is in place.
