Nah I think that is dead in the water there is obvious something they are not agreeing on. Possibly a bridge too far.

Jamie Ness to Aberdeen is doing the rounds. As we wrote earlier, the Dons are keen to add a midfielder given Ryan Jack’s injury. Former Rangers player Ness currently plays for Scunthorpe having joined from Stoke in July 2015. He made no appearances for the Potters and was sent out on loan to Leyton Orient and Crewe.

Rangers have reportedly won the chase for Finnish youngster Serge Atakayi, according to reports in Finland. Rangers will complete a deal for Congolese-Finnish youngster Serge Atakayi tomorrow, according to reports in Finland. The winger had been on trial at a number of clubs and was being chased by Leicester City, but after spending a period on trial at Rangers, the youngster has reportedly decided to opt for a spell at Ibrox, according to Ilta-Sanomat, the second biggest newspaper in the country. The youngster, who is Congolese but holds a Finnish passport, was also being chased by Young Boys, among a host of other clubs, but it seems Rangers have won the race. Hopefully "club needs quality centre-back, club signs 17yo winger" isn’t a further descent into late-Wengerness of Mark Warburton’s tenure at Rangers and just a sign of our ability to recruit top youngsters to boost our academy functioning well. Hopefully he’ll be a success at Ibrox, but it’s definitely one for the future.

I still have faith a CH will come in, probably on loan.

U-turn leaves Football League facing competition to tempt Old Firm clubs
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Would you be happy being stuck out of a premier league for up to 10 years as it could take that long to work our way up? The first 2 or 3 seasons may be easy but after that it would be a battle. It is not easy to win league 1 or the Championship. -
No they were there for me but I threw them a dizzy.

Can someone explain how crushing can occur when there are rows of seats. Yes there are the aisles but if they stopped the first people entering the field then the rest stay put where they are sitting and no crush would happen. If there was a large police attendance at the danger areas then no one dares to run into them. The Police could have nipped it in the bud before it happened by having sufficient numbers but once the floodgates were open then yes there was no stopping the Hibs supporters

Arrests made over alleged sectarian singing at Kilmarnock v Rangers game

I have a vision of an Ostrich sticking it's head in the sand. Fenian and Ayr utd don't sound that similar. -

Looking on if I was a neutral then on the telly it certainly sounded like our version. Given also that we had just scored it seems likelier to have been our version but that is not certain as it could have been a rallying call from the Killie support. -

'I'm a Rangers man': James Tavernier tells Mark Warburton he's STAYING
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
They have filled the paper with it for almost a week and probably sold extra papers with it,It is not about quality these days it is about numbers and hits. -
The teams we have beaten or drawn with are mostly in the top six so they are not doing too bad elsewhere. I remember a MU team I think with Ince and Strachen running away to a 10 game opening winning run and losing the title by a country mile. Everybody said they were invincible but they just caved in. After 4 games nothing is lost or won. I still believe we have can still at least run them close if not win the title.

Put yourself in the situation you move jobs to another firm. Can you walk in the first day and produce 100% without an in-work period. Except for Miller and Wallace nobody had a clue what it was like in the premier division. We are not losing and still top of the league. We are in a transition period and it may take some time to fine tune to turn these draws into wins but the season is just 4 weeks old. When Max Verstappen gets his new car it will not mean he will win the next GP he will need to fine tune it first and gain experience in it first. We have come from a lower league and could always expect a settling in time. I will admit that it is worrying that MW has not tackled the most obvious problem in our team that of Central defence. I personally would have preferred him to spend the money we paid for a striker for a good CH. He seems to think if we have the ball we don't need good defenders and the best defence is more attack and that is worrying. Sutton was correct tonight our central defence is a shambles and it was well known but never addressed.

So if the Ref sees it you get a yellow card. If the Ref sees it and thinks it is totally out of order you get red with a 1 game suspension and if the compliance officer sees it you get a 2 match suspension. Something not right there. If a compliance officer is called in for such trivial things then he can have nearly every player in the league suspended. The ref saw it and didn't think it worth a yellow, get on with the game. I am not saying you are wrong Craig but just that it would be idiotic. We are Rangers of course.

I never saw Dodoo's but Barton was a stonewaller. Garner should have been booked for simulation and we should have had a penalty when Barry McKay was brought down on the touchline. In saying that Kilmarnock should have had a penalty as well for a Hill handball.

Don't worry guy's I am back. I missed the first half but will see the winning half.

Rangers Fans 'Blocking' Police Vans - IPSO confirm as lies
pete replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
Club 1872 statement r.e IPSO We are delighted that IPSO has upheld a complaint over the lies printed in the Daily Record about Rangers fans after the Scottish Cup final. The full IPSO judgement is here and our previous statement on the subject can be found here. Despite being pleased that IPSO has acted we would like to highlight once again the disgraceful behaviour of the Daily Record newspaper, its journalist Jane Hamilton and the Police Federation’s Calum Steele. We approached the Daily Record editor, Murray Foote, to ask him to remedy what we knew was a story rooted in complete fabrication. Initially we received a positive response and were told a retraction and rebuttal would be printed. The Daily Record then reneged on this promise and have had to be brought kicking and screaming to the point of retraction by IPSO. We note that in the IPSO judgement the newspaper has referred to their remedial offer to Club 1872 but not that they subsequently retracted that offer. They have not even had the integrity to make a proper apology to Rangers fans for the lies they printed. The Daily Record knew they had not corroborated their story properly. They were presented with clear evidence by Club 1872 that their story was false. They also continue to ignore the numerous instances of sectarian language posted on social media by Jane Hamilton which they were shown proof of. The section of the IPSO judgement which is most damning is this. “The newspaper said that it had received an email from somebody who identified himself as a serving police who described the incident in detail – it said it had been unable to verify whether or not the person who sent the email was in fact a police officer.” It is quite incredible that the Daily Record Editor has been forced to admit this and is entirely contrary to the account he gave to the Club 1872 representatives who met him to discuss this matter and questioned him in detail on how the story had originated. This story was built on a lie and corroborated with nothing more than hearsay and is precisely what you would expect to happen when a journalist with a history of making sectarian comments is allowed free rein to write whatever she likes. It would appear that the Daily Record has failed to learn valuable lessons about unnamed police sources telling lies about football fans to cover their own failings. Calum Steele should consider his position if the Police Federation wish to retain any credibility. There was no criticism of individual police officers following the Cup Final and we would question why he was so keen to get involved. His role in this piece of propaganda is clear to all those who have followed his performance on social media since the event. We would once again like to thank all the Rangers fans who submitted evidence to Club 1872 and who took the time to challenge the lies written about our supporters. It is a core principle of Club 1872 that it will stand up for our supporters and we will continue to do so where appropriate. We will ask Rangers will take this matter up with the Daily Record and we will be polling our members on whether they wish us to consider further action in the absence of a proper apology and immediate remedial action from the newspaper. -
How much has Rangers spent on transfer fees this summer?

I think you also have to take into account all the wages, signing on fees, agent fees etc and then you will get a completely different number. -

Rangers Fans 'Blocking' Police Vans - IPSO confirm as lies

I am not sure she would be attending many Rangers games to be honest so you would have to ban the whole Record. I actually think she is not too bad looking to be honest. then again you should see what I am used to. -
Rangers Fans 'Blocking' Police Vans - IPSO confirm as lies
pete replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
I think either panic from the police or a tim revelling in trying trying to get Rangers into trouble. That mixed with a proven Rangers hating Journalist tripping over her own feet to get to a keyboard to run with a fabricated derogatory story about Rangers supporters was a recipe for a festival of lies .
