  1. Can you not change the name if you "Go Advanced?"
  2. I used to get lifted over regularly as a young boy. As I stayed in Yorkhill it was a quick walk down to the Haugh Ferry, and the boat over the Clyde which was also interesting for a young boy. A walk up the Copeland Road and then start asking: "Mr gonny gies a lift over" I can't remember ever having to wait long before someone gave me lift over. A lot of kids used to always stand behind the goal Rangers were shooting into as you could walk right round to the other goal at half time. Those were great days.
  3. Ah thanks DÁrt. my memory was playing up a bit as i thought he was nearer the middle of the goal but that is indeed the moment. Great to know my memory was not playing tricks on me.

    Clint Hill

It is a bonus if they can defend though.
  5. One of the things I remember of Andy Penman was against Celtic(I think). He crossed\passed the ball along the ground from the byline to Willie Johnston who was standing on the goal-line with nobody near him. All Willie had to do was nudge it over the line. Willie being Willie thought he would be smart and put his foot on the ball first, to wind the tims up I suppose. Unfortunately he mistimed his foot to the ball and it ran under his foot and went to safety. That must be the biggest miss I have ever seen even worse than Van Vossen. I have asked about it on here before but nobody else seems to remember it. A lot of oldies on here have such good memories of Rangers at that time I am starting to wonder if it is a figment of my imagination. I am positive it is not though.
  6. I have actually enjoyed the league cup. It is better than all those friendlies against amateur teams in Germany.
  7. That is why my German has not got passed: Oh Ja,Oh Ja Oh Jaaaaaaaaa. Oh, das war gut.
  8. Yes they normally give themselves a bit of time to offload so I would say within 2 weeks.
  9. I had to get a bit of luck sometime. You were probably lucky in Love. I wasn't.
  10. Anyone that goes to Turkey in the present climate is awf thur hieds. Not for all tea in china.
  11. Luckily I realised Miller wasn't playing just before KO. and changed the FGS to Kranjcar. Maybe I should do that more often.
  12. AAAAAHHHHHHH Where is the pulling ones hair out emoticon.
  13. Seeminly we have lost interest. He was wanting to bring Paul Dickov in as a personal trainer.
  14. He has that statement up A4 and just hands it out after every game changing the name of the team we are playing.
  15. I don't think you can judge the defence on tonight's showing as they were under totally under no pressure at all. I could have played in defence tonight and walked it.
  16. They are still in the EU so no difference yet I would imagine. Once they leave it may be more difficult to get a work permit.
  17. Gordon Smith said it must be great for the lad training with and learning from Kenny Miller. It will be interesting to read Tannochs reaction to that.
  18. I changed my FGS to Kranjcar.
  19. image: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/incoming/article8595707.ece/ALTERNATES/s510b/CY28248397.jpg Former French international defender Rod Fanni Former French international defender Rod Fanni RANGERS have been linked with a move for former French international defender Rod Fanni. French website le10sport, claims the 34-year-old right-back is currently weighing up his options having been offered a deal by the Ibrox club, former club Marseille and an unnamed side in Dubai. Fanni, spent the second half of last season on loan with Charlton Athletic in the English Championship, having been allowed to head to England by Qatari outfit Al-Arabi. We’ve checked this one out and our sources claim that Fanni is not one of the names being considered by the Ibrox club. I thought we had enough Fannies in the team .
  20. Frankie I totally agree and it is not so much wanting us going into the red but just that King stops trying to bullshit us all the time. We all know the club situation and accept it it is difficult. Getting to Europe is a must for us to get more income and I really feel without investment in a central defender we will be shooting ourselves in the foot. If we were to go back to Warburton's original plan and buy\sign a player with a sell-on instead of burnt-out car wrecks then that investment could be paid back far quicker. Barton, Hill and Kranjcar are eating large wages and have totally no sell-on value. Yes we need experience but on Saturdays starting line-up we had 4 players over or in the region of 34. We seem to be going in the opposite direction from young hungry players and in risk of toppling the cart in the other direction. I obviously got the season ticket money totally wrong and stand corrected although it certainly opened some discussion.
  21. The problem is not just Tavernier. Kiernan can't get basic defending right. He is poor in 1 on 1 situations and his positional sense is very poor to say the least. You just have to look at the Stokes goal to see that. Part of a CH's job is to cover for a fullback and if a defender can read the game he should be a step in front of the winger.
  22. Thanks for the analysis Driggs and Welcome to the site. I often wonder if people actually watch the same game. I think people in general see what they want to see. If Tannoch sees Miller then his hair is already standing on end. Gunslinger was the same with Vuckic and I am slowly starting to only see the bad things Kiernan does. What I will say is that on a few occasions on Saturday when a player hit the bye-line there was totally nobody in the box to pass it to. That was not only down to Miller as O'Halloran hit the bye-line a few times just to see nobody in the middle. O'Halloran is often accused of having a bad final pass but if there is nobody in the middle then he has to thread a ball through 5 or 6 defenders to try and hit a lone Ranger( excuse the pun). I thought Barton had a good game except for a few stray passes but some people were saying he played poorly. We all seem to see games differently. The goal certainly came from his tenacity in winning the ball for Forrester to cross. Miller may have been anonymous but the defending is now a class higher than we have been used to and Miller had a number of defenders around him. Well the defending is a class higher unless you are Rob Kieran.
  23. 3-0 Rangers fgs Kranjcar. Changed FGS before KO
  24. They don't need to be world beaters although it would be nice if they were, but they don't even get as far as Hamilton. Hamilton beaters would even have been a start.
