  1. Was this aimed at me? I didn't realise I was being negative but just discussing the possibilities. I said if he gets into good positions he will get plenty chances to score a barrow load. I don't see that as particularly negative. To get an even discussion you have got to look at both sides of the coin but as has been stated the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
  2. If he gets himself into good positions in front of goal he will get the chances to score a barrow load for the season. If he tries to do too much out of the box he may end up like clark.
  3. Can I change the title to: How far are they behind us?
  4. Warburton said in one of his interviews that it is difficult to find defenders who can defend but also distribute the ball from the back without spending millions.
  5. Welcome mate. I am not really sure what to think yet as 57 goals in 151 games is just short of 1 goal per 3 games which is not that great for a striker. He is 28 and I wonder what his scoring average is overall. I will judge him on what he does for us though.

Gordon Strachan announced his squad for the match this afternoon as the national team prepares for the qualifying campaign. Gers winger McKay made his debut for the national team against France at the start of June as a substitute in the friendly match and this is the first time he has been called up for a competitive fixture. 21 year old attacker McKay has made eight appearances for the Light Blues this season and has scored once, against Annan Athletic in the League Cup. 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifiers Malta v Scotland Sunday 4th September 2016, kick-off 8.45 pm (local time) National Stadium, Ta’Qali, Malta Goalkeepers Craig Gordon (Celtic) Jack Hamilton (Heart of Midlothian) David Marshall (Cardiff City) Defenders Christophe Berra (Ipswich Town) Gordon Greer (Blackburn Rovers) Grant Hanley (Newcastle United) Alan Hutton (Aston Villa) Russell Martin (Norwich City) Callum Paterson (Heart of Midlothian) Andrew Robertson (Hull City) Kieran Tierney (Celtic) Midfielders Ikechi Anya (Watford) Barry Bannan (Sheffield Wednesday) Oliver Burke (Nottingham Forest) Darren Fletcher (West Bromwich Albion) James Forrest (Celtic) James McArthur (Crystal Palace) Kevin McDonald (Fulham) John McGinn (Hibernian) Barrie McKay (Rangers) James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion) Matt Ritchie (Newcastle United) Robert Snodgrass (Hull City) Forwards Steven Fletcher (Sheffield Wednesday) Leigh Griffiths (Celtic) Chris Martin (Derby County) Steven Naismith (Norwich City) http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/mckay-called-scotland/
  7. You can bet your bottom dollar that after the cut we will have an extra away game against Hearts or Aberdeen. They wouldn't dare to make it Parkhead. Would They?????
  8. I would say a top fit player will not need long to recover from a 2 or 3 week lay-off but if fit I would expect Waghorn to start from the bench unless there is a necessity to play him.
  9. Don't be so nice. Make him squirm.
  10. They may not count cup or Euro games for there to be a difference.
  11. Wilson Halliday O'Halloran all bought/brought in Warburtons tenure. He also tried for Scott Allen. When Rangers call Scottish teams think they can hold us to ransom for high prices. If there are Scottish players available at normal prices Rangers will buy Scottish.
  12. Funny enough my wife lost her purse today in the Lidel with all her bank cards, ID card, Driving licence and car papers plus about 18 pounds(20 euro's). When she phoned to cancel the bank cards they told her the card was already blocked because someone had unsuccessfully tried to withdraw money from our account. The Police will be checking the banks Camera's but the chance of getting her purse and papers back are nil. It is not so much the loss of the money but inconvenience and cost of having to replace everything. Great that a bear returned the lost purse but I will not specifically be blaming a Catholic.
  13. I said last season we had a keeper who couldn't keep. Slowly Wes is turning my opinion round. I still wish he was more commanding though.
  14. The thing is, was McDonald offside at the time of the Motherwell player shooting. Obviously there was a split second difference due to to the deflection from the Rangers player. A player can cover a few meters in a split second. we would need a camera level at the time of the shot to be certain.
  15. Agree any free-kick, byr-kick inside the box has to clear the area. I am sure Mr Hemdani can substantiate that.
  16. You can say what you want about Miller but if McKay was still on the field then the 2-1 would not have fallen, at least not in that attack as McKay stays wide. I posted during the week that McKay or wingers need to get to the back post when the ball comes down the other wing.
  17. 4-1 Rangers Hareeee Forrester
  18. Rangers should get new kits from another manufacturer into the shops as quickly and legally as possible to make the Puma kits nul and void. Get the new kits in before Xmas at the latest if legally possible.
  19. You have only missed 2 games so not that far behind you can still win it easily.
  20. His injury is over but his fitness is weeks behind the rest.
  21. And far far better than my written Dutch which I speak fluently. I will say though conversing with people as on this forum will help him immensely. I have not got the interest of anything to go on to a Dutch or German forum.
  22. Something to do with Ice hockey I believe. He certainly writes almost perfect English, just now and again you see a word that gives him away to being German at least for me as I see the same mistakes with German and Dutch people.
  23. For me Murdoch had speed issues. He was very slow and for central midfield speed is really a must these days. He had plenty of technical ability but if you can't run at a reasonable speed then all the technical ability in the world will not help you in leagues where almost everyone has a technical ability and speed.
  24. That doesn't really make it positive as he could have been the second worst. He was never going to make it with Rangers so for his own interest it is better he moves on.
  25. No surprise as you say it was always on the cards sooner or later.
