  1. RANGERS striker Joe Dodoo has been ruled out of action for up to five weeks after being crocked against Kilmarnock. The former Leicester City kid was stretchered off at Rugby Park last month as Mark Warburton’s side were held to a 1-1 draw in the Premiership. Rangers warmed up for their Old Firm clash this weekend with a 7-0 win over Linfield on Saturday as Josh Windass and Martyn Waghorn returned to action. Dodoo did not feature in Belfast but boss Warburton is keen to get him back on the park as quickly as possible. He told RangersTV: “Josh got a good hour and looked very strong, fit and got forward. Likewise, Waggy came on and played high before dropping in to a midfield role for us and that allowed us to look at different people in different positions. “It’s great to welcome them back, and touch-wood we will have a full squad to choose from, the only exception being Joe Dodoo, who unfortunately suffered in the Kilmarnock game, and he is facing four or five weeks on the sidelines. “He is a quick healer by the looks of things though, and fingers-crossed he will come back sooner than expected. All in all, it was a really pleasing weekend for us.” http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/...weeks/?ref=rss
  2. Long before my time. I can't remember my father even talking about him tbh. As I say the one certainty we all have in life is that we will die. RIP.
  3. Personally I don't like using child abuse for points winning. If it has to be a statement the terrorist theme would be better. I would prefer something on the we are back line though. Something like, You call us dead? At least we have a life. Celtic Supporter? I'd rather die.
  4. No they are not, they are too dangerous to be a joke.
  5. If you are attacked at your place of work then you have every right to file a police report. I can imagine if it is a tiff with a colleague that you might gloss over it but if a total stranger walks into your work and punches you on the face then I want to see how many of these grass idiots would be the first to run from the police. If that makes you a grass then so be it. Just a useless piece of information. Getting attacked in your own home is called Hamesucken in Scots law.
  6. Have the working party put themselves up for Election?
  7. For me it is the famous Glasgow Rangers and always will be even although it is not official so you can be pedantic all you want it won't change things for me. I am sure there are many ( possible older supporters) who feel the same. I wouldn't get annoyed about it as half the world know us as Glasgow Rangers and you will be living your life being annoyed by people saying it.
  8. Whether we like it or not the Record is a good source for information over Rangers. As is said nobody needs to click on the link but as I stated if we don't print the link Frankie as site owner could face copyright issues. If no Rangers supporters read the Record, or any other media source for that fact, then the Jane Hamilton story would not have been contested, so it is in my view essential that we keep a close eye on what all the media sources are printing and call them to order when they cross the unreasonable reporting line. If 100 or whatever people read the report on here without going near the record site then we are both keeping them in check and boycotting them to a certain degree.
  9. Our Gym teacher gave up his spare time to train and coach us. Mr Galloway Woodside senior secondary. Great teacher.
  10. Sorry we have to show links to the article we set on the site otherwise we could be held for breaking copyright laws.
  11. I still blame taking away school football and not replacing it with a good schoolboy system to get everybody involved in football as the main culprit of our demise.

  14. SPORTS Direct’s scandal-hit HQ is awash with drugs, The Sun has found. Cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine use are rife at the huge warehouse where 3,000 work. Blood-stained syringes were discovered last week, while cops are regularly called to quiz doped-up staff at the site in Shirebrook, Derbyshire. An MP last night called for the depot to be closed as billionaire owner and Rangers shareholder Mike Ashley faces a showdown with investors. Cocaine, cannabis, speed, crack and bloody needles SPORTS Direct boss Mike Ashley faced new calls to quit last night after The Sun found widespread drug use at the firm’s HQ. The Rangers shareholder’s staff have been caught taking cocaine, cannabis and amphetamines. Users’ dirty needles, spoons and a crack pipe fashioned from a biro have also been discovered. Cops with sniffer dogs also scoured the depot after a cleaner spotted a huge stash. A source said: “Last week a bag was found behind boxes and it was crammed with needles, glass tubes and burnt spoons and foil. “The place is awash with drugs. Staff use in their breaks and hide drugs all over the place. Heroin addicts’ spoons were dumped “The testing procedures are right but they aren’t doing enough to stop drugs coming in.” Our probe uncovered 23 drug and drink breaches dating back to 2012. Police were called to the 800,000sq ft depot in Shirebrook, Derbys, five times and 13 workers sacked. Some were re-employed soon after by unsuspecting bosses. The source added: “The agencies get rid of staff details and because there’s such a high turnover the hierarchy can’t remember names or faces. It’s outrageous and so slack. “Ashley has no idea what is going on under his nose and it’s getting worse.” Labour MP John Mann last night dubbed the warehouse the “wild west” and called for it to be shut down. He said: “There is no end to the horror stories coming out of there. I have no confidence they can turn it around. “It’s not operating as a proper workplace and the danger is that illegality will carry on and not be challenged.” Earlier this year MPs hammered Ashley, 51, for failing to pay the minimum wage to some of the 3,000 staff. Shares in the pile-it-high, sell-it-cheap retailer have slumped 60 per cent and investors will be gunning for the tycoon at next Wednesday’s AGM. He plans a depot open day that day in a bid to restore confidence. The firm’s lawyers have also launched a probe in practices and will publish their findings next week. Tory MP Kelly Tolhurst, a member of the Business Select Committee, said it had yet to complete its inquiry. She said of our probe: “Any evidence of criminality must be investigated and not brushed under the carpet.” The firm said: “Mike Ashley believes workplaces should be drug-free and is grateful to The Sun for raising this important issue.” APPALLING conditions at the warehouse emerged when Mr Ashley gave evidence to MPs in June. Unions claimed one woman gave birth in the toilets because she was so scared of taking time off. Staff were fined for being late, and 110 ambulances were called there in three years. Mr Ashley, who is worth £2.43billion, was accused of running the depot like a Victorian workhouse. He said wages were raised above the minimum rate in December. The Unite union has since got staff around £1million in back pay. Mr Ashley also pledged to tackle managers sexually harassing female staff. But some investors still want him and chairman Keith Hellawell to go http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/7231870/Snorts-Direct-Footie-tycoon-Mike-Ashleys-HQ-rife-with-coke-and-crack.html

  16. THE Congo-born kid was thousands of miles away from his family and couldn’t even speak to his mum on the phone. FINNISH wonderkid Serge Atakayi has lifted the lid on the tears and torment behind the rise to stardom which led to his dream move to Rangers. The talented teenager penned a three-year deal at Ibrox to join the Light Blues Academy side after trial spells with English champions Leicester City and Fulham. Atakayi impressed Gers boss Mark Warburton in a trial over the summer and is tipped for the top. The 17-year-old is the youngest every player to score in the Finnish top flight after netting for former club FF Jaro before their relegation from the Veikkausliiga. But Atakayi’s tale is one of courage and determination after he was part of a talented youth side from the Democratic Republic of Congo who claimed asylum in Finland. Rangers deadline day signing Serge Atakayi: I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time The youngsters walked into a police station after competing in the 2010 Helsinki Cup and are now scattered throughout Europe after suffering tough times. Atakayi admitted there were some dark days when he sat crying alone every night, pining for his family who were thousands of miles away as he tried to reach his mum by phone. But he stuck it out and football helped him with Alexei Eremenko Snr, father of the former Kilmarnock star, a big influence on him in the past couple of years at his club FF Jaro. Atakayi has now been rewarded by fulfilling his ambition of moving to Britain. He explained: “When I was young my mother told me to forget about football and focus school. “But I had an uncle who lives in England and he urged me to take an opportunity to represent the best Congo players in the region at a tournament in Europe. “We went from the capital Kinshasa via Rome to Stockholm where we travelled by boat to Turku for the first tournament. We finished third. FF Jaro Serge Atakayi celebrates a 2-1 victory for FF Jaro over VPS Serge Atakayi celebrates a 2-1 victory for FF Jaro over VPS “The journey continued to Latvia and were runners-up. The third tournament was the Helsinki Cup where we reached the semi-finals and the plan was to return to Congo via Stockholm. “But we decided, ‘No, we stay here’. We knew that only a difficult life awaited us back home and that Finland was probably better. We would be able to help our relatives if we succeeded. “So we walked into a police station to apply for asylum. The players were all broken up and are in Holland, Belgium, France and other Finnish cities such as Tampere, Oulu, Turku and Helsinki. “At first it was really difficult. I cried all the time. I didn’t have my mother’s phone number. My head was aching all the time because I just cried. I didn’t go to school for three months. “Eventually I got through to my mother and she talked to me and I listened. I returned to school. My mum said that if I cried then she would also cry every day.” The former FF Jaro winger endured tough times as a young teen Rangers new Phillipe Senderos says running out at Celtic Park could be the biggest city derby he's ever played in Football saved Atakayi as he watched the English Premier League stars on TV and dreamed of emulating his heroes like Raheem Sterling who he has been compared to in style. He made friends at FF Jaro who he joined to give him something to focus on. Atakayi said: “It was a difficult time for me when I didn’t have any friends. “But I went to Jaro for a trial and asked me to stay with them. I decided that was what I wanted and made some good friends. I was always interested in football and admired Cristiano Ronaldo and Raheem Sterling at Liverpool. “I didn’t have a lot to do at weekends. I would sometimes rent a movie but I liked to watch videos of games or Sterling. I liked watching Liverpool, Real Madrid and Chelsea. I was lucky that the Finnish family I stayed with helped pick me up when I was sad and also Alexei Eremenko who was my manager at Jaro.” http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-signing-serge-atakayi-incredible-8753174
  17. I can't wait until they get down to me. I will be there fighting fit.
  18. The Rangers captain, who was drafted into Gordon Strachan's squad on Tuesday, was excused by the Scotland medical team on Friday due to a muscle injury. Rangers have already said he won't play against Linfield because of injury he is going as a supporter.
  19. It is not a date it is a certain amount of games left so that you cannot change the team you have used for most of the competition for unfair advantage.
  20. I am not a gambler but if we both got an invite and everything was on an even foot then I doubt they could differentiate between the teams. I will agree though they do have a brass neck and anything is possible. You can see with the Hibs and Motherwell Saga's they can bend anything to get the result they want. The English would also have a role to play of course.
  21. Is that positive enough.
  22. You are totally correct Boabie but I think you are wrong not to accept that rules are slowly changing and that down the line the chance exists that it will be accepted. Don't forget that Celtic are the team who have been stating they want to go to an English league(Hypocritical for British haters. Money talks) and who is the biggest voice in the SFA. I personally think world football is changing and there will be different league set-ups in the future.
  23. Post removed for review.
  24. Now you are moving the goalposts mate. The English Association falls under UEFA and not just the EPL. I am not trying to annoy you I just think UEFA and therefore the SFA will have a say in what happens. If push comes to shove then I think if we are invited and UEFA give their blessing that the SFA will allow us to go.
  25. Agreed but that is an organised league and not a rogue breakaway club.
