  1. McKay should start every game in his present form. He really has been a revalation.
  2. When I read all the youth reports Zak Rudden seems to be very prominent. Seems like a good prospect.
  3. Surely for such things you could appeal to the local council for a grant or the national lottery for help. Or is that a stupid thought?
  4. I think the original date was a friday night.
  5. As I am not an Invalid I never thought anything about invalid places anywhere. Having my mother on holiday recently, who needs a rollator to get around her own house, I was shocked at the problems invalids have to incur. We took my mother out in a wheelchair and it shocked me that people wanted to walk in a straight line and I had to try and steer the wheelchair to avoid them. Many Restaurants, pubs Cafe's have steps at the front door which means you are not welcome there.. I will stick my hand up and admit i never saw this problem until recently. One of my finest memories of old Ibrox was the invalid cars parked around the athletic track. Totally no thought that these people have no toilet facilites if needed. FS I really hope you can get things changed as everyone has a right for reasonable basic facilities.
  6. Talk about showboating!
  7. Second half was very good. WBA went 2-0 up Dawson 54' with Everton scoring 28 seconds later through Lukaku 55'. Naismith got booked after winning a free-kick at the edge of the area. Kept moaning at the referee and then started pushing in the wall. He was subbed shortly after when Koné came on for him and scored almost immediately. Koné 75'. Lukaku scored the winner in the 84 minute. Talking points: WBA took off their CF to replace him with a defensive mid-fielder to close the game down. That gave Everton more of a chance to go forward. Is attack the best form of defence? Naismith worked hard but was pretty ineffective. Everton looked far more dangerous when Koné came on
  8. I can see my love of football has returned as I am even watching the EPL again for the first time in years. Everton losing 1-0 with a goal from Berahino 41′. That is the guy that said he wouldn't play for the chairman again. The goal was a perfect example of sometimes it is better to punt it as try to play out of defence. Two mistakes in the passing out of defence set up the goal. Crap game really.
  9. I have to overcome my fear of flying before I start worrying about all those toxic play pals. only a handfull of people die each year from snake bites but how many have dropped out the air in the last few years? I hate motorbikes as well but that is probably fear orientated as well. I guess I am just a shitbag really.
  10. Also pissed off as I will not see it now as I will just have arrived in Australia. I doubt if I will see many games in that period as they will be in the middle of the night. I suppose having punch-ups with kangaroos, cuddling Koala bears and dodging the common death adder will make up for the missed excitement for a few weeks.
  11. I can't remember Hamilton and I certainly wouldn't ignore anyone for being a newbie as I doubt many or any would. We were all newbies at one time. Baxter was fantastic and my father even took me to see him at Hull when we were on Holiday in England. The Scotland game against England at Wembley 1967 should be remembered for ever.

    Welcome Thread

Welcome mate I hope you enjoy it. I found it alien in the beginning as well and now I am 10 years further. I think it is the best wee rangers forum on the Net but I am severly biased.
  13. I said that last season so I am not making the same mistake(?) twice.
  14. A certain 6 point lead now. A Hibs v St Mirren draw or defeat for Hibs and Rangers win would go down nicely for the weekend.
  15. FIFA president Sepp Blatter under investigation after Swiss attorney general launches criminal proceedings. Great I hope they start weeding out these corrupt bar-stewards. Plattini also named in taking 1.3 million. Weed them all out and get them in jail.
  16. If my auntie had balls she would have been my uncle.
  17. Cheers Germinal another great read. While I can't really remember ever going to a game at Cappielow I had an uncle who stayed on the hill above it so I probably passed it more than any other football ground other than Ibrox. As I worked for a time in the Royal Ordanance factory in Bishopton I knew many workers from Greenock where many were female. I was then a young 17\18 year old who was brought up in general in a no swearing family and for females it really was a real no,no. Well the year+ that I worked there I certainly learned swear words from the females that I never even knew existed. Adult females telling me they would love to get a hold of me and screw me was totally alien to me. All the buildings at the ROF are covered in grass mounds for explosion safety and regularly on the night shift you could hear the sound of sexual grunting at the back of such a mound. On a few nights out to Greenock I was just totally shocked by the language and females telling explicitely of their sexual wishes in a greenock slang sort of way. Maybe it is unfare on all the inhabitants of Greenock as a whole to have these memories, but as a young 17 year old it certainly made a big impression on my thoughts of their city.
  18. Agree now you are in recovery I will close the thread otherwise it might grow other arms and legs.
  19. To be honest the only thing he was reading was the name on the back of his opponents shirt.
  20. Now! Better you than me. I will go to the end of the queue for that one.
  21. Two defenders standing in one line is asking for trouble. Yes you push the opposing striker up to the half-way line but when the opposition get the ball one defender drops back about 10 yards and the other doesn't do zonal defending but anal defending. He glues himself to the strikers backside. That means when there is a ball over the top the striker has to get round his marker first giving the sweeper all the time in the world to gather the ball and pass it. There is totally no point in going flat at the centre line as a player can't be offside in his own half it is just asking for trouble. A striker almost never notices where the last man has positioned himself as he is too busy trying to get rid of his marker. If he does go to the last man then you push up again putting him in an offside position and drop back when he is man marked again. A good sweeper CH combination has this down to a T.
  22. The left one is class but the right is a bit over the top for me. I guess it is a photo-shop job though.
  23. All the best BH I wish you a speedy recovery.
  24. Agree on all accounts plus his pace really worries me. I thought he was very slow in the games that I watched. He looked like he was running backwards against some of the players he was playing against. If I am right then we should send him to a sprint trainer for some coaching. I know from experience that you can work on your sprint technique and it will make a massive difference in terms of speed.
