The first goal came from a pass from him and he cut out so many Hibs attacks. McCall is right if supporters were to pick a team we would have no players.

When a family member dies unexpectedly I don't think age comes into it to be honest. I think even if he was 65 his family would have been just as devastated. I know what you mean that he was so young but I doubt his age would have made a difference to family pain. possibly just more unexpected.

I'm not old enough to have seen Stuart McCall play...

Yes definately mate and I am not arguing against him yet as he has certainly been a plus to the team. As I said though he does look awful slow to me.. Sheils has made a big difference to the team in the last 2 games i wll certainly agree with that. -
Thanks for that Cammy. Davy will certainly never be forgotten in my mind.

While I don't want to be negative on this day I must admit i have my doubts about Murdoch. He looks to me to be very slow for someone his age. He is beaten and then gets left running backwards. i will reserve judgement for now but I hope I have seen it wrong. -
I can't believe this, Mosni was outstanding today apart from 1 slip. he hit some super passes out of defence to set up attacks. I think Gunslinger's disease is spreading.
-
Yes i certainly could and have probably more chance than McCall dropping Jig.

I say I am going to win the Lotto quite regularly but it has never happened yet.

Somewhere in Mohsni is a good player it has just not shown face yet. As some have said I would like to see him play a game in midfield.
-
Unfortunately try and prove they knew they would be injured until the end of the season. The only thing we could maybe do is try and get the money back we paid or at least some compensation.

He had a breakdown in training I am sure I read. McCall also said even if he is fit it will take him 6 weeks to gain match fitness.

Will be up before breakfast tomorrow due to it being a Sunday game. -
McCulloch will not be dropped, I am afraid it is more of the sameness. We just need to hope the improvement in fitness plays a big role. I will be happier if one of the younger lads gets a game up front. Anything is better than Boyd or Daly.

Unless things improve dramatically he won't be going any further than Peterhead unless he leaves.

the second goal was Jigs fault as far as I can remember. It is difficult to blame the keeper for coming out in this case as he has to make a split second decision and does not have time to work out all the scenario's. The keeper will mostly be concentrating on the player running through and the ball. It is easy to watch the highlights and see slow motion where all the players are but the keeper does not have that luxury in real time. As for the firs goal it came in at a very fast pace and was glanced on about 8 yards from goal. The keeper sees the ball late and has to react to the change of direction. At that pace there is not many keepers who would react so quick to make the save.

While I agree McGregor is one of our best defenders at this moment if it was financially feasible i would let him go as well. I think he will be found wanting in the premier league as he is getting away with last second tackles at this level. Preferably get some money for him though. One thing worried me about Murdoch on Tuesday was that one of the Alloa players sprinted away from him with the ball at his feet leaving him about 4 yards behind within about 20 yards. I don't know whether the Alloa player was super fast or Murdoch is super slow. It did worry me though.

Normally I would be very surprised but given the fact that Ally and McDowell had rolling contracts and Green sold the naming rights to the stadium to Ashely for 1 pound then nothing would really surprise me with anything he agreed at that time. i would be very disappointed in Jig if he was using that contract to stay in the team though. I am afraid my pride would put me above that.

It looked to me yesterday that there was a huge improvement in fitness and application. if you look at all the big games we have played Cal, Europe, cups important league games then although I have no written facts, from my memory, Ally has never had the motivation skills to get us to raise our game to win many if any of these games. time and again he has set the team up based on how he thought the opponents would play. i may not be totally objective in the matter as I never wanted Ally as manager in the first place but I saw nothing that made me think there was a good manager\coach waiting to blossom.

Unfortunately the fitness of the players says a lot against Ally. I believe the difference between the beginning of the season does not lie with us but with the other teams. In the beginning they thought they were playing the famous Glasgow Rangers and expected defeat so they sat back and gave us time on the ball. Then teams started to see if they closed us down we had no answer to it and things have gone from bad to worse with other teams gaining in confidence and us losing confidence. The fact that Ally always, and I say always, picked his team to stop the other team playing and did not take the bull by the horns to dictate play does not put him high on the managers scale for me. No not higher than a 2 out of 10 for me.
