Agree totally most good businessmen have had bankrupt businesses. And I also don't think CW has Rangers saving money. Does Ellis still have a part in all of this?

I agree we really have to start living within our means as CW has said. We may take a step backwards for a year or 2 but if we get our shop in order then when other teams are forced to do it we can run home our advantage. It is up to CW to make the club as commercial as possible and get cash flowing in from commercial ventures. The Rangers pools used to be the biggest in Britain even far bigger than the Manu pools. In this world of poker and chance games I feel we should look down that avenue as well as other avenues.

Protest against BBC Scotland - Saturday 5th November
pete replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I know the plug part was probably sarcastic as I would imagine everything is run from their own transformers. Would we have the heart to deprive wee Chick from his pie and bovril? -
Whether we would have to change our name or not the other Question remains relevant. Will our league wins record be wiped out? An uneducated guess for me will be no it won't as we would also keep our SPL place. If you had to start at the bottom I think it would be a different story. As for the name if it did have to change then it would be the perfect opportunity to get us to change it to Glasgow Rangers as I think it should be anyway.

I know it is not proof but I am sure(I think) that the Vanguard bears have a list of all the things the BBC have done against Rangers maybe one of the VB boys can dig it up. It should also be on here somewhere as well.

If I do have anything bad to say about CW up until now then it is that he sometimes let's his emotions rule his head so hopefully he uses his head in this situation. By all means cut the rope short with the BBC and just give them the minimal needed to fulfil contract terms but a ban from Ibrox would be a decision not in the interests of RFC in my opinion. -
Exaggeration is also an art form.

Craig Whyte vows to sack anyone at Rangers who talks to BBC
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Am i missing something here or misreading things? Alastair Johnston questioned if CW had the funds for the day to day running of the club but surely they should have been in place by the previous board and not from the private money of Craig Whyte. Surely if that money is not in place it is more of a question for him to answer than CW. Am I thinking down the wrong lines here? -
I honestly think Whyte does not have the money he says he does. But! I do think he is a Rangers supporter and trying to lead Rangers in the right direction. I honestly don't think he is looking for a profit out of rangers. I still think he is a patsy for King though that lies in the back of my head.

Disagree even although Jelly isn't scoring he is a fantastic team player. Healy doesn't score and is not a team player. -
The BBC and ITV + channel 4 &5 have been outside the BskyB umbrella for a few years now mate. All you have to do is point your dish at Astra2a 28.2 east. I think you will need a 80cm dish as you are outwith the UK footprint. It really is as easy as that. Believe me I am watching BBC Scotland at this moment from Holland. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/media/bbc-and-itv-to-launch-freetoair-digital-tv-service-446548.html Sorry for going off subject but it may be useful info for more people.

I have got the STV news am I missing something?
-
A cheap 80cm satellite dish and tuner will open up all BBC, ITV and a host of other British programmes for you. All are free to air.

No matter who took it over it will be administration so yes.

Derek you were a legend as a footballer but crap as a journalist imo. As far as I can remember Greig was certainly a Legend as a player but not really loved as a manager and people were pretty impartial to him as a director. He was maybe a friend of yours but don't let that get in the way of the truth.

I don't see that as a problem as most if not all the teams in Holland and Germany already have shown that the system is workable. I think though that it should not be forgotten that if people misbehave a supporter steward will also have to take action to remove the misbehaviour(s). Having supporter stewards is not a ticket for people to do what they like. Supporter stewards will also get rightly or wrongly criticised at times.

My post was a bit tongue-in-cheek to be honest there is no way do I think we will be folded completely. To be honest I agree with Whyte that no matter how hard it is to accept, we really do have to start living within our means. All football clubs will have to do that in the future so we may as well get a head start and get our house in order before the rest.
