Not another Boyd Post! I was never a supporter of his and always said we will score goals without him just in another manner. He did fill a roll in that period and has a fantastic scoring record, but I personally prefer a striker who can score and play football. Just for the useless information FC Twenthe bought a striker,Janko, from Austria at the same time we bought Jelly. The guy scores in every game but really can't play football and is as stiff as a garden fence. Jelly scores less but thank god we picked the best one.

I remember people throwing full cans of beer at George Best for a wind up when he played for Hibs. What a shame and waste of a great player.

Every country has it's good and bad points. Thinking only Scotland has bad politicians is living in a dream world. Look at Greece, Italy, Spain being almost bankrupt. Hating another person because he supports another football team has also something barbaric about it. Maybe we should also look in the mirror as well as blaming other people.

Totally agree the two runs he made to give Naismith the room for his goals are testament to that. Boyd would have been stagnant in the middle blocking any free room.

I am happy we have both!( and the tims have Loovens:devil:) Personally I do not think there is much between them price wise as they are both excellent players.

Agree with you but I believe the two team theory may be new. I would worry that we could only have two mediocre teams though challenging for nothing. -

I will be honest I think Naismith deserves the ban it was a second of madness. I just hope that these things are judged honestly though and it is not just Rangers players that are pulled up.

The fact is that Souness felt he would be happier at Liverpool or more likely it was a bigger challenge to get Liverpool back on top than keep Rangers at the top of a 2 team league. While I will always think of Rangers as the best club in the world I can imagine he went for the bigger challenge and probably a far higher wage. Souness certainly does have a huge arrogant streak in him and some will like him and others won't but his decision to move to Liverpool is at least understandable.

I don't think we can ever compete with the very top again, and in the future I would expect an eventual Euro-league with only the rich clubs. It is the second tier that I think will come back down to earth and where we will fit in. That may even be a good thing for us as we may be able to climb up the European ladder.

Guys try answering each other in an adult fashion by discussing and not getting hot under the collar and snarling at each other. It makes your post more interesting and more people may join in the discussion.

I doubt his signing or not signing would have changed no matter what the outcome of the OF game was. This was just a matter of Rangers having a wage ceiling for him and the Argie sitting on the chimney stack. The gap was too big just like many other players before him. On a bright note I believe that most clubs are going to have to slash their wage bill in the future so it will be harder for these mediocre players to demand high wages.

Hibs certainly seem to be well ahead of picking out young talent with our u19 taking a 2-5 hammering. If you look over the past few years how many good players they have produced then they certainly seem to be able to spot youngsters better than any other SPL team.

Agree that this was a much better performance but to say Ally proved me wrong at this moment is going a little far. The league is won in April and not in September I can't believe some people are saying the league is over while nearly every year over the last few years the team that has come from second place has become champions. Yes let us enjoy yesterday's performance but let's not get to carried away with one result. Unfortunately another thing that happened a few times over the last few season is that we lost the next game after the OF game and threw away the gained advantage.

A draw will probably be about right with 2 teams who don't want to lose, playing each other. I have 2-1 in my predictions so I will stay with that.
