Exclusive - Gersnet Interview with Giovanni van Bronckhorst
pete replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Well that will be 2 interesting questions. -
Guttuso blinded in one eye - 'I'll come back stronger'
pete replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes I hope he can come back although his age isn't going to help him. Good luck. -
Whittaker in the middle was good for 2 games or so but I wouldn't want him there much longer.
-
It looks like the Gers are going for Swedes and the tims get all the turnips.
-
I am definitely not fat I am just far too short for my weight.
-
No the Ref has to judge whether the injury is serious or not. Even if it is a leg break or knee injury the Ref has the right to stop the game. I think we all thought that Templeton's injury was serious so I have no problem with that decision.
-
I just wonder why he has not been banned for his part in the BBC documentary.
-
Lets be totally honest as well, Whittaker was also walking on a knife edge but the difference is that with Whittaker it is just a lack of skill and with Black he goes out to injure people.
-
I can't disagree with that. I always tell my wife that it is my name on the door, her reply is that there only two screws holding it on. I am also allowed to make all the decisions in house. As long as the wife agrees with them. What happened to all the fitness club and bronzed Adonis stories you used to tell?

Possibly helpful Craig but it just comes across so aggressive and that you are trying to pull people down. You are big enough to take a bashing now and again anyway. Not that I could do it.

Protest against BBC Scotland - Saturday 5th November
pete replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes but these people do have contacts and the press will always need people to dig for information. Admittedly the face of the press is changing but there will always be journalistic reporters. There are many better writers on fans forums Frankie being one to name a name, and STV have not picked out some of the best forum writers for nothing but they just will never get the information that these people get. -

I don't totally agree with you as most of the real information we get comes from the press and media websites. Yes the paper versions are becoming less and less but there will always be room for these people on their websites. They do get information that we want to know and we will read. -
Craig you really need to remember that most of us are Dummies just trying to understand a small part of it when it comes to this subject and post as helping us understand instead of ripping us apart.

As far as I was left to believe was that CW has it tied up that so that the HMRC will be playing second fiddle. Is it that we will still need to pay them a percentage or will they lose everything?
-
Personally i think it is comparing apples with pears as they are completely different players. Lafferty will always look the busier player but when it comes down to pure yield then I think that Jelavic will produce more over the whole season.
-
I think you are underestimating Jelavic's scoring record of late which I think is 5 in the last 7 games. I agree he is not hitting the heights of last season but I really do think that he is doing better than he is getting credit for.
-
Surely with CW being the only or biggest creditor if he gives the go ahead and waves goodbye to the borrowed 18mill which is in his Rangers company then admin could be very short. I am arguing something I have no idea about so I could be miles off.
-
I just wrote in another thread I think the old directors were planning on doing the same. They wanted to borrow 25mill to buy out Lloyds and then put the club into admin after losing the tax deal. The only difference I can see is that if we win the tax case CW has said he will cover the 18mill whereas we would have held 25 million debt with the old board. If Whyte does under-write the 18mill is a discussion for the future.
-
I think if we lose the tax case we will be thrown into admin as soon as possible. Even if we do have a 10 point penalty we will still be within fighting distance of the tims if not still ahead of them. I don't see the advantage of prolonging it to next season I still think that the 18mill Whyte paid Lloyds will have been borrowed in Rangers name and will become one of the debts to be wiped clean(unlearned guess) and Whyte really will have bought Rangers and all of it's assets for one pound. I think that is what the old board also wanted to do but Whyte stole their thunder and that is why they are so mad. I may be wrong as I am certainly not an expert in any way.

Congratulations to Jan Wouters for again trying life as head-coach at Utrecht after many years of playing second fiddle. I hope it works out for you as you deserve a role in the limelight after being one of the best No.2's around.

Lets look at what they actually screened. First of all a hell of a lot of supposition. Robert Burns who obviously could gain no proof against Whyte after years of investigation and was now happy to vote him guilty by association of working with a convicted fraudster. An angry Woman who didn't get paid when his company went bankrupt. I myself have went through that process twice and shit happens. A company director who had run his own business into debt and was angry that Whyte did not get the money up and running on time. He blamed Whyte for the loss of customers. Obviously the customers he had were not paying his bills in the first place otherwise his company would not have been in trouble. An angry ex-Rangers director, Paul Murray who was sacked for trying to scupper the takeover and make a bed for himself. Alastair Johnston our ex interim Chairman who seemed to forget that he was interim Chairman and refused to move over for the new owner and was therfore sacked. Then there was the icing on the cake the extremely neutral voice of Graham Speirs who is known for his balanced reporting on Rangers. I, to be honest don't think CW has the money we were hoping for but this documentary was a stitch up from start to finish. Why was Daly in Monaco as there was no evidence given from there? Nice wee expenses paid holiday for the guy otherwise it had totally no relevance. Telling us Whyte lived in Monaco and showing a film from the archives would have been enough.

I would imagine that you can't cover your ass by using alleged when sending a programme out to millions that would be far too easy. I may be wrong though.
