    Welcome Thread

Welcome Tony I hope you enjoy our forum.
  2. Not guilty until proven otherwise I would say. I must admit even his friends don't seem to really be on his side reading between the lines.
  3. I would think the bull fighting rings of Spain would be a better bet.
  4. I can't think of any player of my generation who could receive a ball with a player in his back and control the ball as MM. Not only could he do that but he could also manage to turn with the player in his back and still get a shot away or leave the player stranded. He really was the best player ever in the world at that. imo

    Hello Hello

I believe someone said he was sitting near to Smalce quite recently. Totti. Smalce was a poster from the past. He had a lot to do with the first Gersnet banner getting printed. He did have some extreme views but had good banter in general. Many of the guys met up at that time and unfortunately there was some kind of fall out which i don't know enough of to talk about or to be honest i don't think it is worth bringing up again.

    Hello Hello

I remember you too from days gone by. I seem to remember something about you and Smalce,or 8ball(I think) going to a party. Is that right? Unfortunately Smalce is banned and 8ball no longer comes on. Cammy appears now and again but got too busy in his private life to keep writing for us. Frankie is still the engine of the Gersnet Rolls Royce. Welcome back Jim!
  8. Turkey is the last place i would want to take my young Family. Totally different culture. Okay for the player maybe who is out and about but his wife and kids will be climbing the walls.
  9. Agree totally. I also had tears in my eyes. I knew of MM long before he played for Rangers and when he played for FC Twente he played against my local club and indeed the club I played for, in a pre season friendly. My daughter was mascot of the week and was led on to the field holding his hand. He obviously didn't mean as much to me as he now does but even then he was a true gentleman. That is one thing that annoyed me about Advocaat. Normally when a team plays a pre-season friendly in Holland the the teams come into the canteen to have a drink and sign a few autographs. The Rangers team under Advocaat were directed straight to the bus and whisked away leaving supporters who had travelled miles to see them to wave at a speeding bus. Mols said in that film Rangers supporters never forget their own. I will never forget Advocaat but more through total dislike than love. Money Mercenary baskit.
  10. I think just a mock up. Otherwise I join you in the question.
  11. I don't believe Miller is pivotal to us winning the league but I would be happy to see him stay until the end of the season. And yes I don't think he wants to go but he is thinking I have to get the best contract possible for my retirement. If it was a ten year deal it would have been signed sealed and delivered.
  12. I am not 100% sure on that as I don't see why Walter would make him a sub. Surely he would then have picked one of the youth team to sit on the bench if he had totally ruled Webster out. Webster really is a strange case and I guess we will never learn what really went on with him. Bad luck with injuries. Fear to play for us. The only other option is deliberately wanting to F*** us about and I can't believe anyone would make a career of that.
  13. Or Webster never wanted to play for us.
  14. The information that I got today from listening to the beeb is that Fiorentina only want to pay 300.000 for him.(ha ha ha). Miller prefers to go to Italy but Rangers won't agree to the price. The deal with the Brum is 650.000 cash making it up to 1mill if the Brum stay in the EPL Chicky baby thinks that he will end up signing for the brum.(Has he ever been right) Jim Traynor stated that MIH and Lloyds still have not got back to Whyte to answer a few questions that Whyte had put to them. Because of that he now reckoned that the odds that a deal could be done was getting smaller. I think we all thought that.
  15. If Webster really wants a chance then this is it. If Walter goes for another option then it will be obvious that Webster has no role to play in a Rangers shirt.
  16. If we don't get funds for contract renewal or bringing in replacements then 2012-2015 are going to be very baron years I fear.
  17. I think Britney should be flood-lighted in every dark hole he creeps. he started the war and will always creep out of his hole when fed a morsel to spit out. Leggat should look at other aspects of our club but cannot kick Britney in the balls often enough.
  18. I am on back-shift so I will try and do it on Sunday night. We really need a few other(new) faces taking a shot though, the list seems to have dropped to 3 or 4 people.
  19. What do you mean? That Walter has told him to drag it out to keep him or Bain has told him to drag it out so as we can' t bring anyone in. I find both scenario's highly unlikely. I would say there is more chance that Miller is still hoping that Rangers offer just a little bit more as he doesn't really want to leave.
  20. Can we not ask Lennon McGinn and McCourt to send the bullets on to Murray. It's a joke!
  21. I hope the Rangers players have their cars in a fire proof garage after this.
  22. Agreed. Have we actually ever had a last minute signing that has been any good. The ones i can remember were all failures.
  23. It is a juggling act to be honest and I wonder regularly if it is such a bad thing that no one comes in in the summer. We gave out 1.2 million on Beattie. Has that money made the difference on where we came in Europe? In my view it was just a hopeful panic buy to make up the numbers. There were a lot of players we could have got for that price who would have at least been more mobile than Beattie. We probably had better options in our own Ranks than spending that kind of money on an overweight has been. I would hate to think that we spend 10mill or whatever, putting us more in debt and then do a Kanaus and crash out of Europe, leaving us further in debt. It sometimes just feels like maybe a good idea to bite the bullet for a couple of years, only replacing that what leaves and then kick LLoyds out the door for good, starting a new life in the black zone.
  24. Yes he does. A 1.2 million headache. And we are asking 700k for Miller. Unbelievable!
  25. Lafferty for me. He gave McCulloch the assist and then scored himself. I know McCulloch returned the pleasure but Lafferty had to do more to score the goal.
