Funny enough I just saw him score against Twente in a 2-1 defeat for Groningen. He looked very good at taking runs from the back post and getting in front of the defenders. That is the way he scored leaving 2 players in his wake. He looked a good player and the commentator was praising him up. The commentator did say that there were a number of clubs interested in him. No chance of a loan deal I would think so it would need to be a buy. Groningen are punching above there weight and he has already scored 11 league goals and as i said he looked good today against Douglas who is probably the best and quickest defender in Holland.

BBC: Craig Whyte remains hopeful - aye sure he does

I am sure I read that it would be about 44 mill. I would imagine it will be between 10 and 50 mill as I don't think anyone would be too worried about a few million as much and a deal would still be done. The 60 million pound question must be why Murray is being so evasive. 1) Does he really want to sell or just steer from a distance to avoid any flack. 2) Does he have so many skeletons hidden in the shadows that selling will be opening a can of worms. 3Will the sale of Rangers affect MIH in some way.(i am thinking on the 50mill shares issue. Was it above board?) I am no expert and these may be stupid questions but they spring to my mind.- 20 replies

I like that guy for his honesty and also his play. I really think we need Edu's more penetrating play other than both Ness and McCulloch playing together. Ness and McCulloch play too much on one line whereas Edu can get in between the opponents lines. It is Edu with Ness or McCulloch for me not both.

That made me burst out laughing. Cheered my day up.

I would say get over to France and piss on his grapes.

I have no idea how much it will be I am only quoting what I read. Personally I think if it was about 10 mill it would have been settled by now.

Donald Muir and Murray are probably the only two people who know how deep the hole is we seem to be in. I am sure if it was a couple of Million it would be put to whyte who could afford that. I fear the 44mil stated tax case is going to come up and bite us on the arse and Murray and Muir know it.

I said the same a few weeks ago. The banks are not pulling the strings. Murray is! He wants the best price possible in my opinion. I also believe that he has done so many dark deals that he can no longer show potential buyers a straight line. At the moment we are in a catch 22 situation. Buyers want answers and Murray can't or won't supply them.

Is this a stupid remark? Why can't we say to Miller we will release you early to receive that bumper pay roll, but we want x amount to release you early. Surely If miller is going to earn millions the Rangers should be able to cash in on his part of the deal.

Shite hitting the fan from all sides but funny enough i have felt from the beginning that Muir is really trying to help us out the shit. We simply cannot keep giving money out that we do not have. Simple! The thing that is wrong with Rangers is Transparency to the supporters. We accepted or were forced into accepting totally no insight to the clubs affairs with Murray. We should never accept that again with any owner. Rangers need supporters more than a sugar daddy out to enlarge his ego.

Beattie really looks like a pure waste of money but I hope he proves me wrong. It says in Wikipedia that in his first English cap he was replaced by Francis Jeffers. That says it all i fear.

You are totally correct your health and your happiness are far more important than money. The thing is though if Miller stayed(given that he is not a Rangers fan) then he may have a feeling of "if only" for the rest of his life. At some point in your life you want to try and stretch your borders. This is probably the last chance he will get to do it. As I say if he takes the easy road then he may regret it for the rest of his life.

Sorry Gav i totally agree with your feelings, but loyalty is written on the back of pound notes these days. As BD says if i could double my wages at another company I would be out the door before they could say goodbye. Miller is doing what he thinks is the best option for him and he will have to live with that decision be it a good or a bad one.

I think Hibs got the wrong Calderwood. Jimmy would have them playing better than they are.

Details of Rangers fans meeting , today , with Neil Doncaster
pete replied to rbr's topic in Rangers Chat
Make tickets cheaper and maybe more people will go. I am paying 42 euro's to go and watch Dortmund v Schalke (which is the same as a Rangers Celtic match). I will pay it once just to see what the atmosphere is like but never again. People just can't afford those prices on a weekly basis. -
Never thought of that but you are so right.
-
It was a panic buy when we thought that the Jelavic deal had fallen through. Why 1.5mill for Beattie an injury prone 32 year old striker as you say I will never know.
-
The price and the wages is more Walter Smiths fault than Beattie's. Beattie was just accepting the offer that was on the table. We could have got a number of fit players for that Money. Even one of the reserves would have been better than spending that money on Beattie. I hope he proves me wrong but i doubt it.

Don't forget your predictions guys and again you can do the weekend games as well.

Thanks guys. I just wasn't sure Gav because he didn't play or even on the bench on Saturday.

Rangers 4 : 0 Hamilton - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
pete replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I never saw the full match but two goals and the penalty has to swing it his way. I do think Miller had more to do with the second goal than Weiss himself though.
