To be honest i always think bad times will nourish resentment and bitterness. A winning team is a happy team. With Scottish football scraping for every penny it can get, the price of failure has become almost life threatening. UEFA have much to answer for in my eyes as they have nurtured a monster in the Champions league, where only the strong can get stronger and the weak fall by the wayside. Football has on a whole blown into a huge bubble and at some point an implosion is imminent in my opinion. There is a new breed of supporter because the days of supporting players is now short term. Here today, gone tomorrow. Money rules our game and society, so the day's of players who will live and die for the club are long gone. Supporters have also taken a new step, in that, yesterday's hero is today's shooting target. John Greig is a hero for young and old at our club, carlos Cuellor will be a forgotten name in a few years time Are we now as\more bitter than Celtic supporters, i would think Yes at the moment as we are the team on the low. Only success will change that in my view. The rewards of success determine the level of support.

We could put Hemdani in goals then, that would settle that.

This weekend threw up another controversy as Rangers were denied a perfectly good goal, through the linesman flagging for offside. Before the game Referee boss Donald McVicar e-mailed a warning for refs to improve. After a spate of dodgy decisions which seem to benifit our friends from the dark side, many football supporters probably think the ref bosss real name is McPriest and not McVicar. Strangely Refs are fighting for more money. The SFA should put them on performance bonuses as that would save them a fortune. A new sponsor might be a good idea; they should change from Spec-savers to Nikon binoculars. Ebay would make a good sponsor as well as they keep selling us their crap Football is not the only sport that is having problems with the referee's though. What about the girl in the taekwondo, Sarah Stevenson. Three officials failed to see the kick to her Chinese opponents head. After a protest and TV evidence she was at least reinstated as the winner. Her fellow taekwondo colleague Angel Matos wasnt going to hang about for a TV replay, he just gave the ref a size 9 direct to the chin. Why cant I get rid of the thought of Billy Baxter wearing, wee Demarcus Beasleys stud marks on his napper? If the Olympics had been in Portugal Angel Matos might not receive a lifetime ban. You can take a Maddy there and get away with it.(Sorry) Carrying on with the Olympic theme, wee Chesney wants to talk to Chris Hoy to pass on his secret winning formula. Some people believe he has the formula already. Paying referees! Maybe that is what is using up his entire transfer kitty. John Hughs has been following the cycling as well, After Referee Brines pulled him out of the Falkirk dressing room, he told Brines to get on his Bike. Our friend Artur Boruc has been hitting the news again. In the past he has been fined by Celtic for boozing. Last week he was thrown out the Polish national team, for skipping out for a wee vodka. Who said he didnt have any bottle? Now he is waiting to see if Leo Beenhakker will Polish him off, as the Don was a bit brassed off Just a thought, if Artur Borucs wife was Pregnant to him. Would that make her a dope carrier? Taxi!!!

Buy him the goalkeepers shirt.

First of all Welcome mate:thup: I very much doubt if Walter will go that way. That was the great thing about Hutton,we were almost a 3-5-2 when we had the ball and through attacking, he had McGeady in his back pocket. I don't know if Beasley can defend good enough to match McGeady but it certainly would keep him deep when we have the ball. And he would more than match him for pace. Not a bad shout that actually but the lack of pace from Broadfoot worries me in that set-up. I would have totally agreed if Carlos was still around.
-
Seen it now on the beeb and he was onside. A well timed run. From where the Ref was standing i can also imagine he did not see the hand-ball although the linesman possibly should have seen it.

Gambling is a flaw for me.Totally against it. I wouldn't put one cent in a fruit machine.
-
I don't want Miller their either but we do have other options. Lafferty, Velicka or Cousin for me. JCD has just not impressed this year.
-
They would have to have spiked Baxter's for about 50 years. Baxter was the Scottish George Best, loved drink more than his talent.
-
Please no Boyd in the starting line up,he is too slow and cumbersome. That would be playing into Celtic's hand in my opinion. We need someone with pace as a striker
-
Hidden talent! It is just so well hidden.

I think he even died an alchoholics death did he not? I saw him playing for Hull after he left Rangers. My dad took me while we were on holiday. Another Genius who couldn't get his private life in line.
-
I can't be 100% sure as the picture quality is not great but the second looked a mile offside as well.
-
I am sure i can remember Peter McCloy(i think) doing it for Rangers although my memory is not my strong point.

With the SFA's First XIV up next, is it time to dispense with 4-5-1

Then it is a cert Miller or JCD will will lead the line. i would think he will go for JCD. -

Against Celtic i would virtually put my mortgage on a 4-5-1. -

Personally i would prefer the 4-3-3\4-5-1 with Beasly and Aaron as the wide men and surprise nacho Novo through the middle. Hitting high balls up to Boyd is easy fodder for the Celtic defence whereas they lack in speed and mobility. Boyd is for me the impact player who should come off the bench and his record against Celtic would back that up. Cousin or velicka would be my second choice if the Nacho thing wasn't working which it wouldn't if we are forced back into a permanent 4-5-1. I don't know how fit cousin is as he has not played yet but i still believe he is our best striker. -
To be honest i couldn't give a shit about any English team. I have enough worrying about Rangers. I do watch English football but don't care who wins. Celtic -Liverpool connections steer me a wee bit against them.
-
Boyd must have influenced the linesman's decision as i don't think he can even see Beasley. Agreed it is a terrible decision and another reason for video evidence in extreme cases.

Sorry but the more i see our set-up the more i think Walter Smith is living in cloud cuckoo land. We have spent 17 million, i believe, and have mostly players playing out of position. Yes we needed a central midfielder but did we need 3 to play one out of position on the right. He has now bought 3 strikers we probably didn't need in the first place, so we have to play a striker as a winger. Why the hell did we not buy one striker and a left and right winger. We now have a team of centre-half's covering the back 4. A team of central midfield players and a striker covering the midfield and god knows how many strikers fighting for two positions on the park or a place on the bench. This is totally crazy and a total waste of much needed money. Walter Smith has cost us 10mill in euro revenue. Wasted a reasonable part of the 17 million having players we don't really need, and lost our best player from last season to sponsor his stupidity This season 17 mill and last season 12 mill, that is 29 million for a patch-work quilt at a time we are struggling to make ends meet. Total insanity. Walter please find the door and shut it behind you.

I noticed as well. Frankie's trying to fox us.

Don't forget the 12.30 kick-off guy's.

When i see Boyd playing i get visions of my school days and the big fat guy standing on the goal line waiting for a tap in and everyone screaming at him to move. As i said before i want him to stay but just to come on as a super-sub. He is not a 90min player. Oh no not another Boyd thread!
-
Not challenging you mate but can you give a run down on that.

The fact that i believe JMS is making,( i am sure he will answer for himself) is that many people think David Murray has pumped millions into rangers which according to the accounts is totally untrue. Yes he did cover the 50mill share issue but that debt seems to still be a talkng point.
