Everyone keeps on about the Ajax youth and scouting system but they were in fact placed as number 13 in Holland for their youth and scouting system. They did have it great in the 70's and 80's as they were the first club in Holland to go out of their own region to scout. That advantage has long gone and Herenveen, PSV,Groningen and even Sparta have raced past them in finding talent. Look through the Ajax team and there is not a lot of Ajax youth team talent on show.

On buying Miller he stated we need more movement up front but if it is only to chase a Davie Weir punt we would have been better keeping Sebo as he would chase lost cause all day. Even now Walters main target is bringing another centre-half to the club. I agree we need a better CH but why the hell did he bring back Weir and Dailly. We get rid of Thomas Buffel to free up Wages and then bring back Christian Dailly to play in midfield. Sorry i can't get my head round that one. Walter has steadied the ship has been said for the last season but as far as i can see he has steadied it by guiding it nicely to the bottom of the sea. We are playing with a team of Centre-half's and strikers who mostly play out of position. That is not Murray's fault the blame for that lies with one man, and that is Walter Smith. In my opinion David Murray's heart is not totally on the job at the moment and it is possibly time for him to move on, but for me his biggest mistake was in bringing back Walter Smith.

Fleck and Furman should now be starting to get their chance. they really can't do any worse than Dailly or McCulloch. As Cammy said if you are good enough you are old enough.

I was quite impressed with Broadfoot at CH against Shalke and he seemingly played well against Raith, so i would like to see how he develops in that position. Whitteker should feel more at home at RB so i think he deserves a run in that position. I seen Lowing mentioned in the youth game against Ayr. Where has he disappeared to? He looked quite promising a few seasons ago. We definitely need midfield cover whether Fergie is fit or not. Adam is making big statements that he can fill Fergies boots but even although Fergie is not my favourite player Adam would need to turn into the Hulk or superman to get anywhere near Fergie. If we need a wide player then it must be on the right as we have a few who can play on the left. The Webster signing has baffeled me and must have be done on an agreement with Wigan to Ckuf Hearts and get him on the cheap. Otherwise he would have been sent back after his loan period. Miller! Why? Walter Smith stuberon pigheadedness? Velicka understandable as he looked good at times with Hearts and reasonably cheap. Webster and Miller wasted money most likely.

I haven't seen him for about 1.5 years so i don't really know what he is like now. Going on his form from yesteryear i would say get him signed as he does get forward and score quite a lot. I hoped we would sign him when he was with Herenveen but as i say that was a long time ago. I will say he was kept out of the PSV team by Affelay and that is no shame in my eyes as i rate him Highly. That's the best i can do mate. Sorry. P.S We should have been in for Ismael Assiati he is better imo and at 20 we would have doubled our money.

I didn't see the McGregor blunder but i was totally not impressed with Alexander pre-season. McGregor may be rusty but he is still our best keeper. I agree with UCF on this one.

I went to the squad link, to have a look at the first team and it is still the squad photo from last year. surely a photo of the players could be updated daily if necessary. They want me to pay money for that. No thanks.

There is still a while to go in the transfer window. PSV want rid of him and will release him eventually. If he is on 10.000 a week means it will cost them another 500.000 on wages if he stays another season.. PSV will want to free up his wages. They will accept less than a million.

Looks like he is not wanting to leave PSV, so if we get him it will be a last minute signing and we don't need that to be honest.

Totally agree Frankie, and i still have not seen anything from Miller that makes me excited. Lafferty may prove to be good but was he really needed at this moment or should we have offloaded a few strikers before we went for him. Velicka on the other hand has excited me in the few minutes he has played and may prove to be as cheap as chips.
