Green Brigade safe-standing area at Celtic Park under fire over ‘fan behaviour’ Stewart Paterson @PatersonHT Political Correspondent (2) View gallery 23 comments THE safe-standing section at Celtic Park has “not been without its problems,” according to the UK Sports Minister. Tracey Crouch said in the House of Commons the area had been shut down twice because of “fan behaviour”. The Scottish Champions’ stadium standing trial was being proposed as a model that others, in England, could follow. The safe-standing area, occupied by the Green Brigade, was raised in Parliament. Ms Crouch was asked by Glasgow North East MP, Paul Sweeney, if she would visit Celtic Park to see the area during a question session about allowing safe standing in grounds in England. Mr Sweeney said Celtic’s trial had been a “great success”. He said: “Celtic Park is one of the largest football stadiums in the UK. “It is the only stadium in the UK currently to be piloting safe rail standing area in the stadium, with 3,000 places available for safe-standing for the last two years. “Would the minister consider visiting Celtic Park to assess the merits of that scheme which has been a great success for the last two years?” Ms Crouch, however, was less than convinced by the success - but said it was being monitored. I thought he was sniffing his shorts in Mexico but he probably had something in his shorts

The challenge isn't Gerrard On Pena. The challenge is Pena against Alcohol and maybe drugs.

We have to pay his wages no matter what so it would be better trying to get something out of him.

If he rocks anything like Steve he will be pretty good. -
Great comeback line.

Has Tomorrow come yet.

It depends on how much we are offered. Personally I hope so as he is totally in a different class to Andy Halliday and is still only 21. I do not think he is a natural striker though andshould be played behind a striker as in the Windass position. As I said in the podcast though he needs to walk about singing "I am happy" Maybe a happy pill every day will help. Or are they a banned substance for Rangers players.

Maybe he will do a Fernando Ricksen and get off the drink and be player of the year next season. Can we not mix Morelos and Pena together in a shaker.

It is Murphy i would send back. When the going gets tough Murphy gets gone. -
I think your team choice will be right but I think it will be: Holt-Goss Candeias- Docherty-Murphy.

They only only need 6 as a goal for them is a goal against us. 5 would make them equal but as we have scored far more we would still be 3rd.

Only 17 and ran the hearts midfield tonight snuffing out the mighty McGinn. Another one that Sinclair let go because he was not big enough I believe. Showed tonight he is strong enough as he won most of his 50-50 tackles.

Neil had a wee word with the ref at half-time and 2 minutes after the start had a dodgy penalty.
-
Murphy in the Dorrans advanced position and put Glen Middleton on the wing.

I think the debt threshold is a certain percentage of something but I am not sure what. It is not a set limit it depends on a clubs income plus maybe asset worth. As say I am not sure exactly what.

I don't get the crossbar saving us bit to be honest while it does look spectacular it hits the crossbar because it is not accurate enough to go in the goal. If it hits the top of the crossbar with the bottom of the ball then it is almost a foot away from scoring. As I say it looks spectacular but counts for nothing. -
Welcome mate i hope you enjoy.

I thought you might want to do an end of season edition\round-up. -
We can't keep expensive people for just in case. Jimmy knew what he was getting into and knows he has to leave.

If only Morelos would put all his energy into the game instead of reacting to his opponent. He also needs to have a striking coach. Well I suppose most of the woman will say Gerrard is striking but that is not what I mean. -

Celtic will throw that. If you have a spare tenner put it on an Aberdeen win.
