Miller's best form always came under the management of Smith. It applied for Scotland, Rangers. I'd like to know how he's done in Turkey. And how he'd do purely under Ally. As someone else said, think it was Der Berliner, I remain completely undecided about whether I want Miller back or not. He was absolutely honking in the CL.

Given a paycheque of £50K a week, loyalty means nothing. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't happy with him going any more than a lot of the rest of us were either, but given an offer of £200k a month or the probable £45k a month he was offered with us, I think it would be a no brainer. Even a dyed in the wool bear would find it hard to resist the cash.

By that logic every player with a year left on their contract will have agents writing up this letter in 'prep' for being sent should the player choose to invoke it. But this is the first time since the Webster clause arose that I've seen a story about a player possibly using it. What I am saying is there is no smoke without fire, and I doubt the agents of Bougherra did this of purely their own volition.
-
I'd be genuinely amazed if agents paid by Bougherra set about invoking the Webster clause without even mentioning the idea to him...
-
I suppose I could accept him as a squad player being used sparingly.

While he left under a cloud, I thought he was excellent for us. He was so keen to leave, but I'm willing to forgive and forget that given he was so young. I'd take him back.

I'm not sure about Goodwillie.

Read the bit in bold gentlemen. Ewing claimed he was going to buy out his deal. He did not say he already had fully done so. The bit in bold says a letter was being prepared, but Rangers hadn't received anything. Just because Rangers haven't received anything, doesn't make the first part a lie. Bougherra is sending extremely mixed messages - he desperately wants to leave but is trying to avoid it being messy and making enemies. If this report is to be believed, he'll do exactly that if anyone sends a letter to Rangers on his behalf trying to buy himself out. Fundamentally, at no point does Bougherra deny the letter. The article says he does, but nowhere does he say there's no letter. The plot thickens...

He was quoted as saying the only reason he didn't leave last summer was because no bids came in for him. His problem is he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is, or wants to be, and really isn't as big an asset to us as a few of our fans seem to think. I still remember him saying something like 'I'll be waiting for my phone to start ringing' a couple of weeks ago relating to offers from other clubs, and that was the moment I completely went off him. I don't think he's a bad guy, but his desire to 'achieve his ambitions' has undermined his time at Ibrox for me.

I've been probably Gersnet's biggest Lafferty supporter, but I'm not sure I'd want to see him partner Jela permanently. I feel like this is a time for change, and strengthening the team, and bringing in new blood to enhance what we have. While Kyle proved himself after the split, and showed what I knew he was capable of, I still have in mind someone who won't split the fans, who we'll all like, and who gets goals, works hard, is classy on the ball and can make chances. As for who that is, I dunno. Maybe this Hemed chap.

Tomorrow's Record apparently saying Danny Wilson is returning on loan.

I'd rather bullshit linking us to players than bullshit saying we're about to go into administration or our owner is a fraud.

Bears expressed his opinion to me on this one yesterday, at first I thought it was a wind up. He's entitled to that opinion, but he's clearly smearing possibly the majority of our support in doing so as no better than Celtic fans. It makes me wonder what kind of Rangers fan you'd have to be to denigrate the majority of your peers as tims. It doesn't really matter if he thinks he has a point about GSTQ, I am just amazed that any Rangers fan would class a large group of his own kind as tims for doing something he doesn't really agree with. For example, I don't agree with the Billy Boys, I think it's a song about violence and for me that has no place in modern society let alone at a football ground, but I wouldn't say those singing it are no better than tims. They're just doing something I don't particularly agree with. /rant.

But there is a quote there.

All 3 would be very welcome.

If you call one defender great, it's surely fair to compare with his predecessors? Many of us would strongly disagree with that. Especially this past season. Bitter about what? I have an opinion about a Rangers player who's been giving 'I want to leave' soundbites for 2 years. Hardly going to ingratiate himself to me. Maybe you have a different definition of what you want from Rangers players.
-
You lot seem to believe he's worth £3M+. So by your logic he IS screwing us. Out of £2M.
-
Great? Cuellar was great, Boumsong was great. Bougherra is and was average with the occasional purple patch. I'm not sure why you wish him so well when he's allegedly screwing over the club you're supposed to love.

Walter Smith - he was a showman, with shiny trophies everywhere...

I didn't do him the honour of reading his drivel - I caught the end and to say he was completely unchallenged was hilarious. -

Suppose it's the same as Walter. When he was officially no longer the manager there were things he said that he never would have while in the post.
