He did us a great turn during 52's run in, scored plenty of goals. Seems he's lost his appetite for the game after that injury at...was it Brighton? We've had worse strikers than Velicka.

He's put in 2 or 3 outstanding displays, a lot of reasonable ones, and quite a few absolute nothings. As Frankie said he has the talent, but he's got a long way to go before he's the finished article. He's often greedy, his decision making can be absolutely dire, and his distribution often leaves a lot to be desired.

Yeah, he said we'd signed the guy and clearly that turned out to be incorrect. I was just relaying the message tbh - I didn't really believe it.

Another reason Celtic have more money than us is they've exploited other markets - by getting in the likes of Nakamura, Cha, Zhi etc they have opened up the Asian market and it's a good source of income. We don't really whore our brand at all.

Some international signings. Emanuel Adebayor has gone to Jose's Real on loan till the end of the season, and AC Milan sign Mark Van Bommel from Munchen. -

I thought Soti was fantastic for us - he was voted in the team of the group stage of the CL when he was with us, and was domestically excellent - he was a little patchier in his second season but I was still gutted when he was the first player PLG got rid of. -

I've heard a lot of praise for Commons. Seems surprising we'd get him for such a low fee.

McGregor is probably, for sheer value, our most valuable asset - and he's the perfect age for a goalkeeper. He's had a terrific season and if a bid came in for �£5M we'd snatch at it. We'd probably sell for less tbh. I remember some thinking we'd only accept stupid money for Miller, but it's plainly obvious we're not really in any position to say no to most bids.

I have never known a club harder to take over than Rangers. We've had countless rumours, and then stories like the above. It's ridiculous and it's set to go on. -
Novo has had his time here and it really is time to move on from him. It's seemingly not worked out in Spain, and perhaps he should have stayed, but I really don't like going back the way.

I don't really hold it against them. We fans think a particular way - we want our players to ideally play for the shirt and to be proud and loyal to the team, like we would be given a minutae of the wage. So when they see a Kenny Miller only too happy to move for money, it does rub many of them up the wrong way and they want rid after that. Despite ability. Personally while we've lost a great goalscorer, we've gained a great striker in the return of Jelavic which has totally softened for me the blow of losing Miller.

PS, why do Turkish teams greet new signings like they were signing Maradona himself? I remember the craziness over Vasell, and while this isn't quite that, it's only feckin' Kenny Miller, not Ibrahimovic. -

In his defence he had it thrown on him by a supporter and I guess he doubted he could take it off.

We've apparently agreed a �£400k fee and he'll sign tomorrow. Footballers really will say anything. They're one of the worst teams in the CL's history and he's going there because they're paying him 50k a week.
