Bluebear54's GPL 2016/17: Rangers v Partick Thistle

2-0 Bears Waggy fgs -
Agree with your earlier point too GS re pulling out of Scottish Cup. It will get media coverage outside of our shores and highlight the corruption at the core of football in this country. We should also go after those at the heart of it. Some kind of "sting" operation similar to what's going on down south at the moment. It may take a while, but we will get them in the end.
-
Totally agree but doubt it will happen. All the press/media outlets are too busy going after football managers to look at the blatantly obvious corruption at the SFA that's going on right in front of them!. The sad thing is if they did, the corruption is so deep that there would be many imo looking at prosecution, and the whole house of cards would come tumbling down!

Bang on the money Ian! It's so blatant it scary. I know I will be branded paranoid by some, however I am convinced from top to bottom their is an appetite to cause serious social unrest, possibly politically motivated, and blame it on Rangers fans/Unionists!. -
I feel quite bad about that mate, it was supposed to be my seats with the niece. In some ways I'm glad I wasn't there as she would have been scared witless but I can only offer my apologies GS. As I have said we were over in the main stand down the front but I managed to get both my niece a sister out quickly at the final whistle. I doubt my sister will be allowing her to go to any finals or semis again soon. The authorities are more or less giving carte blanch to attack Rangers Fans no matter what age, including children, players and staff and any section of society connected with the club.

Mark Warburton facing SFA charge over furious rant at referee
cooponthewing replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
"It has been highlighted on sky" didn't say they were the only ones mate lol. Maybe they highlighted more and I wasn't watching?? Even my old mum knows what that mob get away with!! -
Said "with strict liability, clubs can't be held responsible for the actions of their fans". Ok then, so it's fill your boots time as fans, including Rangers fans, can do whatever they want without fear of the club being punished. Curiosly this is reported on a CL night!. Hoping it would fall under the radar me thinks!!

Your right boabie, can't appeal yellows, only red. I suspect if we could appeal yellows they feel they would be snowed under? -

Refs here don't do embarrassment JFK, I get the impression when they make a baws up, it's just "oh well, these things happen" or they may even sit with a beer and laugh over it? Especially when it happens to us!. In the space of two weeks it has been highlighted on sky that the mhanks got away with a blatant sending off and we have a man booked, a foul given and lose a goal in the dying minutes because of "ahem" human error?? -
Ian Wright slams ‘vile’ Old Firm derby and ‘pro-Rangers’ media
cooponthewing replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
He always was a complete no mark up here!. So jumps on the victim card to excuse the blatant fact he was pish! Funny how he managed to miss all the pro terrorist/IRA songs from the vermin yet hears songs from us?? Bitter chicken munching bam!! -
13.20pm and just walked past one with a bottle of Buckie and his "mhanky tap ooooooon"!!! Btw it's pissing down. Maybe it's wash time??

I admire your optimism DB however do not share it. I simply think we are lacking quality and are unable to deviate from our one game plan. I hope I am wrong, but I have watched for weeks coming to an overall opinion on it. We are not good enough, we have recruited average players at best, paid way over the odds for Garner who I feel is not up to the standard and MW feels obligated to play him due to the 1.8m price tag. Kranjar and Barton have been discussed at length, we bench MOH constantly so the only recruits who play from the start on a regular basis at the moment are Hill and eh Hill, and even he isn't really a regular. The rest are squad players so we essentially are left with the same team as last year. That side is not good enough to challenge, I am not debating the rights or wrongs of it, maybe we are not entitled to challenge, however we do not have the quality or the mental strength to challenge at the top of the league and we will do very well to challenge for a European spot. At the moment we are not looking like making the top six? I know some are ok with that, and like yourself DB are content with the learning curve we are on. I can't say I'm happy with it, it is what it is, what can't be denied is that we have the second highest wage bill in the league and we have recruited average players. I sincerely hope I am wrong and MW turns it around, at the moment I would be very happy with just making Europe, I can't see us challenging any higher with the players we have.

The facts are DB that until we start winning games, we are not progressing. Unless of course we would rather play lovely football, have a weak spine in the team and are happy dropping points every week. That's not progression. We keep getting caught, silly mistakes or just not good enough?? There is no venom in the team, no penetration, we have been saying it for long enough. On another note, I am still totally unconvinced with Garner??
-
I still question the goalkeeper getting beat from that range, should never happen and I felt he was slow getting across, ball was in the air for a long time.

Yeeeeeeessssssssssss!!!!

Penalty!!!!!!!

Sorry but FFS! Towing the caravan:facepalm:
-
Satisfied with that. We look so much better in midfield, nice movement and ball circulation. Still not convinced with Garner though, but overall a good first half.
-
great chance for Garner there! Total miss hit?
-
I would have played MOH instead of Garner. What has MOH got to do??? With Waggy through middle. Anyway, we will see??

About 30mins ago I was sitting here thinking the same mate!. I lived abroad for a period in the 90s, also for a while since 2013 and came back mid last year. I soon as I get through my uni course(hopefully with a good grade?) I'm out of here. I really cant be @rsed with it and this place has changed so much. I know people in their 20s for example wont notice it, however I do, and the atmosphere is poisonous! I honestly don't see it changing and it will continue to spiral downward into the abyss. Some will say that's dramatic, fair enough, its what I see, time will tell?. -
Thanks DB. If this hadn't been today I would have taken the niece along. I have said I would start taking her when I wasn't at matches. I will take her next sunday v Spartans, never been before think she will enjoy it:thup:
