  1. Positives: Wilson was composed and solid for most of the match. Beerman and Waghorn made a positive impact off the bench. Negatives: Despite his assist Windass hid for much of the game. I don't rate him at all. Fine play for the goal but overall he's not good enough... Toral was truly awful though the jeers when he was subbed off were unnecessary. Man of Match: the fan that bolted up the copland front stairs with the match ball. Would like to see him on the wing. Terrifying pace.
  2. I agree that last weekend was the one to go all guns blazing for, however, I wouldn't say this game is like a friendly. We are by no means guaranteed 3rd spot at the minute with St Johnstone 9 points behind. A heavy defeat for us and a win for St J this weekend would see us only 6 ahead with a similar goal difference to them... At least a point and a good showing in this game should be enough to hold onto third. However, if a skudding ensues who knows how our season will play out.
  3. Garner in the starting line up instead of Toral was the first mistake. Most frustrating for me was Waghorn. He was all over the shop, absolutely no composure on the ball or in front of goal. I thought Tavernier played quite well. Him and Foderingham were the only ones that looked anywhere near their level. Midfield battle was lost and that was the main problem. Start Dodoo and Toral next week and we're in with a chance.
  4. Beerman has been equal, if not more effective (both defensively and attacking) than Wallace was in the 4 or 5 games before he got injured. I'm more than happy for him to play on Sunday. However, I'd be much more comfortable seeing Hill come back in place of Bates. Hill will just add that bit more experience and composure that I think will be required.
  5. Apologies just saw this. I was referring to journos writing negative stories about Rangers at any given opportunity... Though the stories that have emerged today suggest there could be something in this one. Question is, where is the leak coming from?
  6. This was the tweet I was referring to. Any excuse to mention Rangers in a negative fashion eh?
  7. According to some bears on Twitter this isn't the drama it has been made out to be. Sounds like a communication mix up between management and player.
  8. It's on the splash screen as soon as you go to the main site. However, I was put in the queue for 11 mins, then taken to the login screen. Then it crashed... Looks like the site is down - and has been most of the afternoon... Pretty poor to be honest - advertise renewals splashed all over the main site then it's down for the next few hours.
  9. Similar story with my sister. She has never had a big interest in football and probably only wanted Rangers to win to keep me and my old man happy. However, she picked up on the raft of anti-Rangers stuff in the MSM and by the obsessed on social media. This perked her interest as she didn't understand why fans of other teams went on and on about Rangers... As a result of all that she has become a wee bluenose, and will be attending her second game ever on Saturday.
  10. Said exactly the same thing mate. If it was the Sky recording they used with bbc commentary dubbed over it then they definitely reduced volume on our goals. Sounded like a few guys celebrating in the pub across the road. Also glossed over the fact the Aberdeen player clearly head butts Garner. It certainly wasn't enough to make Garner go down and yes it was embarrassing however, to focus the critique on Garner is poor. They then follow it up with his 'foul' on their keeper to get the yahoos all worked up... Soft accidental foul at best. Why make that part of your 3 min highlight package?
  11. I think this is what he'll do. A defence of Hodson, Wilson, bates, Tav... Allowing Toral to come back in to play the CDM role. I reckon Waghorn will play wide again... Although I'd much rather see the team the OP suggests as the sheep will be dangerous on the right flank and I don't think Tav is good enough defensively to deal with it.
  12. Agreed. That is the epitome of clutching at Rangers bashing straws. Not that it stops the media running with it.
  13. Wallace had surgery on his stomach? Is it just me or does stomach surgery sound a bit more serious than 3 or 4 weeks out? Now seems like an ideal time to play the youngsters - albeit it's only happening due to injury. We look a cert to finish third now with second being out of reach so there's much less risk in playing these untried players. i.e. if it results in a few shakey performances, it's not the end of the world... Let's be honest, can our defence be any shakier than it has already proved to be this season?
  14. Totally agree that PC's first couple of pressers have been great. Hearing him talk about the threats he has identified in the next opponent is a breath of fresh air compared to MW's mantra of 'it's all about us'. I must admit though, in the early stages of MW's tenure I loved the way he spoke in the pressers too, and looked forward to them each week... Let's hope PC's future doesn't go in the same direction as MW's ended up!
  15. Saw someone of twitter saying more emails will be released today. Still might happen. 6 times in a row does sound rather suspect though!
  16. I'm praying for a row near the back. The last 2 games I've been row C and row H. Honkin view... My mate was row A behind the goal last year. Good for the atmosphere but forget seeing much action from there haha!
  17. That's semi-final ballot emails out. Just got mine confirmed. Think these emails usually come out in batches so keep an eye on your inboxes!
  18. Looks a terrible move for him, and for Rangers. However, with these youngsters likely being offered £20k+ odd per week at 16 years old, it's little wonder many are tempted to go down south. Just look at the boy Islam Feruz that joined Chelsea from Celtic at the age of 16 (in 2011). Now aged 21 he has 0 Chelsea appearances and is on his 5th loan from the club - currently at Swindon... If he had stayed in the dark side of Glasgow he'd more than likely have broken into the first team. It's little wonder Scottish football is in such a state when the best young talent like Gilmour are snapped up at 16 by EPL elite, put on luxury contracts, then farmed out to lower league clubs before being offloaded by the EPL team a few years down the line.
  19. How long is this expected to run for? Or should I say, when do we learn the outcome?
  20. Understandable move by PC... As long as Jimmy Bell stays where he is I'm happy.
  21. Exactly... For me it's a lack of respect for the fans. Just be honest about why your leaving the club.
  22. What chance did we have with a manager who went looking for other jobs, instead of watching our next opponents? Very disappointed in Weir. His behaviour is Naismith-esque. Not usually the vindictive type but I hope they get relegated now. (apologies if anyone on here has a soft spot for Forest lol)
