It's worth the gamble given the relatively small fee. Hopefully he grabs the chance to take his career to another level.
-
What a result if Ajax who started the tournament in the qualifiers as 250/1 outsiders were to actually win this. I hope they do but think the winner is more likely to come from the Liverpool/Barca semi.
-
While I still don't think he should start we do have to continue fielding the strongest possible 11 and fighting for every ball till it's mathematically impossible to take the title. And even if it's mathematically impossible when the yahoos visit we still need to go all out to give them a second defeat this season. Which effectively leaves us just the Killie game at most to maybe throw in some youngsters for a taste of the real thing. And it would be an almighty contest for them because the chances are Killie may still be scrapping it out with the sheep for third place right to the last game.

Yep, that's another reason they lost. Playing in an away strip while playing away. What chance do they have. -
Ajax take a 1-0 lead and remarkable stats after just 20 minutes played. Possession: Totenham 27 % - Ajax 73% Shots: Totenham 0 - Ajax 5

And recent events/form might be an encouragement to cash in on Morelos if an 8 figure offer came in. I feel he cost us points this season though I suppose that has to be balanced with the points he won us with his goals. I reckon we would have won at the sheep pen in the first game of the season if not for his petulance. -

I feel the board after being encouraged by Euro group qualification last year may go all out to try as hard as they can to make that happen again. Perhaps partly from the view that failing to do so would be like taking a step back. And that lovely Euro cash is oh so welcome. -

Only after discovering we weren't interested and fearing he might not get a starting spot if we were. -
My feeling is he should start on the bench since we do seem to have found a winning way without him and to teach him that he can't continue his behaviour and just walk back in. And he's a potent weapon to launch from the bench if need be.
-
I'm wondering if he should go straight back in or start on the bench. There are a couple of things to be considered. Firstly why change a winning formula? We have been on one of our better winning runs this season without him and secondly perhaps he needs to learn that if you continue with your petulance don't expect to just walk straight back into a starting spot.

No way would I be doing outward business with them following their antics over Allan and Cummings. If they want him they can go down the same path we have to. Try signing him from whichever English team we punt him to.

I don’t know if he would have been any different tactically if managing us but regardless I’m still glad it didn’t come off.

I look at many forums. Hubs, Hearts, Motherwell, sheep. Strangely I rarely look at a yahoo forum. A bit of know thine enemy and gloat over their pain. -

I just don’t see the sheep as being anything like on the same level as us and can only see that gap growing next season. Even if the current points gap weren’t so wide the GD all alone indicates a massive superiority. Their fans are currently expressing an opinion that if the title is out of our reach by the final game that we will throw the Killie match if it meant them missing out on third place. Frankly I wouldn’t care if we did field the under 20’s but they need to grasp we’re not as obsessed with them as they are with us. In the big picture of our ambitions they’re an irrelevance. -

Need to get a comment from McInnes on that one. I’m sure he hates shit like that. -

If I were the Aberdeen manager I might have said that but I wouldn't have thought it. They were never in it. There should have been some acknowledgement of that. My next concern is that if they were to somehow beat the yahoos next week while it would still leave us in with an unlikely last gasp chance at the title it would also give them a chance to win it on our patch. Unpalatable. -

Quick look at some stats from this game taken from the BBC. Possession: Rangers 66% - sheep 34% Shots: Rangers 16 - sheep 4 Shots on Target: Rangers 6 - sheep 1 Corners: Rangers 7 - sheep 1 Sounds like the sheep were played off the park and lucky to escape a humiliation? Not at all, they wuz robbed. -

So, 11 points ahead of the sheep who still have delusions of being a major rival. We have only one rival and it’s not them. No rival of ours plays like relegation battlers with no ambition but to pack their own area even after going a goal down. -

BBC text says it all. Total siege just can’t get the goal. -

Two things at stake here. First we need to turn consistent superiority into a comfortable win and we all know what the sheep are going to do. They’re going to park the bus and take turns collecting cards as they try to kick us out of it. Aside from the fact we need to give them a long overdue sound beating a win settles a minimum second place finish. I want that settled leaving scope to work experimentation in the final games. Surely their luck can’t continue and in fact I actually saw one of their own fans express that same opinion on the largest sheep forum. Ideally we get a couple of early goals and that kills their entire game plan. -

Motherwell are not, never have been, and never will be a competitor of ours. Their competition is with Accies etc in the bottom 6. They simply make themselves look silly and petty if they bear grudges against the boy for trying to take his career to the next level. As for the Hastie he appears to have a close knit family to support him at this crucial point. He's going to be on a lot more money than he was at Motherwell and with a far higher profile. That can go to the heads of some boys leading them astray. He appears to have a family who will impress on him that this is still one of the first steps on your journey not the end of it. You need to work really hard if you're ever going to become a regular starter in a team of this stature. -

Undoubtedly but half their game plan has been scuppered with no Alfie for McKenna to wind up. They're playing for that third place finish and will employ all the usual tactics. We're due to give them a real hammering and I hope this is the time their luck runs out. -

Gerrard apparently dropping hints that Morelos wont just walk back into the starting 11 and who can blame him. Three straight wins 9 goals for 1 against. I would still prefer Alfie to stay another season for squad depth. But if a decision were made to cash in for 10 million plus in the close season I wouldn't be as disturbed about it as I would have been even just a few months ago. We now know we can score and win without him plus Kamara is beginning to look like a steal and we still have Murphy and Jones to come into the picture. A ten million cash influx could get us a the few players we need to make this a formidable side including that longed for quality number 10. -

We now have 3 consecutive home games needing 5 points to clinch a minimum second place finish.
