  1. Well it “doesn’t really bother” them anyway. So be it but it seems to bother all the others who scream unfair when deprived of a Rangers visit while a rival gets one more than they do pre split.
  2. If anyone can now stop Barca it is probably Liverpool who all things being equal may have a slight advantage playing the first leg away. I think Ajax can take Spurs.
  3. If some clubs are happy to lose ticket revenue then it's time for plastic pitches to go Kilmarnock kicked off a row about ticket allocations this week by slashing the number of briefs they will give Rangers for the final game of the season from 8000 to 4000. The Rugby Park side’s chairman Billy Bowie has since confirmed this will be a long-term step and admitted that the potential financial costs are something that “doesn’t really bother” him, according to the Daily Record. Despite the prospect of losing out on hundreds of thousands of pounds every season, Killie also cite what is best “economically” for the club as the reason for refusing to rip up their plastic pitch. There’s little argument that having a surface that can be used regularly and rented out can have major benefits for a club – but when they seem to willing to turn their nose up at money from visiting fans then it needs to be looked at. Clubs surely can’t plead poverty as a reason for keeping sub-standard pitches then turn away sizeable sums of ticket money and leaving thousands of empty seats. If Kilmarnock were regularly selling out Rugby Park then they’d be more than welcome to cut allocations to allow more of their own fans in. But as it is, visits from Rangers swell the gates from an average of 6500 to over 12000. Bowie hopes to get an extra 1000 punters through the doors by cutting Rangers allocations and good luck to him. Next time someone brings up ripping up their plastic pitch though, hopefully, they’ll be quick to remind him how the financial implications of this “doesn’t really bother” him. https://www.rangersnews.uk/columnist/clubs-cant-plead-poverty-over-pitches-then-leave-thousands-of-empty-seats/
  4. Great run no matter what happens now. They began their campaign in the qualifiers as 250/1 outsiders.
  5. I hope Ajax win it. It's going to be the only chance for this team which is going to be dismantled in the Summer as the money teams pick off the cream of the crop.
  6. What any of us post here isn't relevant to the issue. What any of the groups involved in the Israel situation have to say is what's relevant and I know of only one side who have discussed genociding anyone. There has always been a conflicting narrative of the activities of Hitler and the nazis within the Muslim world with many of the same people on the one hand praising the holocaust and expressing a desire to complete it while on the other denying it even happened. In the Muslim world in general there has always been widespread chatter condoning genocide of not just Israelis but Jews anywhere they may be found and that idea is referenced in the Hamas charter. That's an open call for genocide and take note that Israel isn't even mentioned, just Jews.
  7. BBC Three looks at how Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard achieved everything by bustling his way into a leading role - and refusing to be a passenger. Noughty Boys: Steven Gerrard played football the way we all wish we could
  8. This thing will never be resolved without some form of Islamic enlightenment because it’s not about land or any perceived suffering of any group it’s about nothing but a nazi like Jew hatred and no amount of negotiation is going to change that.
  9. I'm most interested in the assessment of the playing squad. Have to agree with that and given that further investment in the squad is being promised i'm encouraged for next season.
  10. Also interesting to note that McInnes is saying that he was sent to the stands for reacting to 'sectarian chanting' from the yahoo following. While this guy who has a history of apparently being attuned to and sensitive to such things and getting away with reacting somehow didn't hear it.
  11. The sheep followers think their red cards were unjust but of course if that were Morelos looking at someone the wrong way it’s a red card all day long.
  12. Gerard knows infinitely more about football than any of us ever will and has the added advantage of seeing Davis in training and knows his current and potential fitness levels so I will trust his judgment. Younger players with a sell on value would obviously be better but younger players of that quality or potential quality won’t come cheap and probably have to be actually developed to that level. We have a board and probably a fan base strongly focused on stopping 10 iar which necessitates having that kind of experience and quality now not later.
  13. So say 4 games for grabbing or verbally abusing a ref. To my mind referees should indeed have that level of protection but Alfie gets 4 games for doing little to nothing to broonaldo who deserves nothing but an actual dooing.
  14. After a cooling off period of anger and frustration with Morelos following his latest fuck up at the piggery I too want to keep him another season. I believe he might score even more goals next season than this and hopefully he sticks to his twitter promise to screw the nut in future. Surely it's sunk in this time that he has to stop this petulant off the ball shit. By all means get right into them in play but not the pointless nonsense that's seeing him red carded at the piggery and sheep pen.
  15. Those games are a major source of additional income. We need to go all out to make the group stages again and I believe that's one reason the board may lean in favour of experienced class with little or no sell on value to raw young talent like Morelos. We need this Euro money and experience is more likely to get us that.
  16. Maybe Ajax will be the surprise package of this tournament. They outplayed Juve in every way but didn't take their chances. They beat Real 4-1 away in the last round so they're a potent force even away. They better go for glory while they can because the best of this team will be picked off during the transfer window.
  17. There isn't much I would entirely rule out with this board determined to stop TIAR.
  18. Liverpool will have too much for Porto if they play as they can. City been comparatively stuttering a little lately but Spurs also have two faces. On paper it has to be City.
  19. JFK-1

    Fave XI

Butcher has to get a spot alongside Gough. Difficult choice between Klos and Goram.
  20. I can only speculate that since the management at the time of his 'incident' are gone he may also have done something to offend current directors. And you also have to guess that SG has enough influence within the club to demand that Wallace be available for selection if he thought it was of benefit. Patently he doesn't think that. But I would agree he should get some game minutes at Ibrox before the season ends.
  21. I think Docherty in particular may be a perfect example of a work in progress. I'm presuming they have told him what he's doing well and what he needs to improve on which only game time will help with.

  23. Apparently also a pie. Note the total lack of activity from the stewards.
  24. I didn’t see the entire game including none of the first half but Katic seemed to do ok. We need to get him in there playing regularly. His development is being hindered.
  25. So the well fans think it’s a poor result since we’re bang average. I don’t know what that makes the rest of the league below us since the nearest behind us are 8 points and 31 GD adrift. Bang shite presumably.
