  1. I'd take your point if we had 5 or 6 loan players but given it's only 2 (or 3 if this one goes ahead) and possibly only 1 will be a regular first pick I see no harm in it. Hopefully after October we'll have new funding and can approach the next 2 transfer windows by addressing the short term signings we have.
  2. Absolutely. I wonder where he would play in a 3 man midfield.
  3. If Hibs let him go and by that I mean sell to Rangers and if they opened negotiations I'm sure a fee in the £400k region would be agreed between both parties. Hibs could then use the money to add 2 or maybe 3 players which would IMO give them a better chance of improving their side rather than relying on one unsettled individual.
  4. From the Scotsman Toumani Diagouraga is linked: 28 year old defensive midfielder - contracted at Brentford until June 2017 - played 43 games for Brentford last season.
  5. If it's true, which I doubt, we've doubled our initial offer BUT it still won't be enough
  6. They also say Warburton took in the Hibs v Dunfermline pre season match at the weekend in which Allan scored. Perhaps it was the first time Warburton seen Allan play. I wonder if there is any substance to the story or is it just mischief making by The Sun ahead of Saturdays game.
  7. Their contracts had expired and they are free to leave and find employment elsewhere.
  8. If there is a shred of truth in that then why did Kenny continue to pick them - that would be grounds for dismissal for the players and management.
  9. RIFC has a month to find a new NOMAD under Stock Exchange rules. If it fails to do so, it would be withdrawn from the AIM market. King intended to remove WH Ireland anyway and appoint a new NOMAD so I guess nothing has changed really. WH Ireland said they'd resign if King won the vote - one could assume Capita have informed the NOMAD King has won.
  10. Isn't Sandy an irrelevance anyway? He's on the football board isn't he? Along with who else?
  11. because we've been kicked in the teeth so many times since Murray was "duped" by Whyte and for a while before that too.
  12. Alternatively, we could say given the profile of the Black incident and the subsequent warnings all players must have been given but to continue gambling is a worse offence and deserves a harsher punishment.
  13. I'd love to share your optimism but with every passing day it appears King will only ride to the rescue if we enter Admin II at which point other interested parties will be free take more control.
  14. It does seem rather bizarre that we signed 2 new central defenders (McGregor & Zaliukas) yet only one of them will play alongside McCulloch. Nicky Law spoke of adopting a 3-5-2 formation (deployed against Hibs) and how it would take time to adapt to it yet in our next game 3-5-2 is ditched in favour of 4-4-2.
  15. I didn't know Jon Daly could levitate
  16. At 34 years old surely Kenny Miller isn't expecting a big contract offer. A 2 year contract would take him to 36 and assuming we get propmoted this season there aren't many 36 year old strikers in the top division. He must be only too aware of our financial position so if he wants to return to Scotland and Rangers he has to be reasonable.
  17. Any rumours about Cuellar returning yet as he's left Sunderland? What about Dylan McGowan who was released by Hearts yesterday?
  18. I'm too young to remember Sandy as a player but I worked alongside Sandy for a few years and can honestly say in that time I have never met such an upbeat, postitive, well mannered, inspirational character. He was absolutely first class with me any time I approached him years ago and any time since. Stevie Smith tweeted this: Never a truer word spoken!
  19. Hasn't Ashley been trying to sell Newcastle for a couple of years now? Does he have to sell Newcastle before he could buy Rangers?
  20. Didn't Prior suggest before the AGM he'd vote with the requisitioners but then changed his mind?
  21. What would Admin II entail? We'd suffer a 25 point deduction and no doubt further financial penalties from the authorities. But, who would benefit from it? Would the Easdale's and Laxey walk away with The Albion and Edmiston House with every other share being declared worthless? I assume we'd then again be vulnerable to a takeover by more unknown parties. Would we exit Admin with the same faceless owners but with all commercial and business contract terminated. High earners offloaded? Or would that allow Dave King to step in and buy lock stock at a reduced price from the administrator?
  22. I thought McColl and Paul Murray already knew the identities of the people behind them. Surely Malcolm Murray, while chairman and in charge of the IPO knew who these people were.
