  1. It's been a good month.
  2. Anyone hear Chico interviewing Walter? Asking Smith if Boyd can play the lone striker role. Whilst typically making Chic look like a clown, Smith was adamant he could. Changed days for Boydie.
  3. Delay making an appeal til Saturday?
  4. Completely agree. Take advantage of the system as Celtic have done numerous times.
  5. When interviewed on radio, Boyd said the ref said it was for a kick whilst Dods complained he'd been punched. Mulgrew goes to headbut Lafferty. No contact. His red rescinded, Kyle retrospectively banned. So I expect the same for Dods (aye right).
  6. Gribz will be sick tonight. Awesome. With 2 games (including the tims) and 4 goals to go, I didn't think he'd break it before the piggery tbh. I thought he'd missed his chance by not getting nearer with a couple of "easier" games before the OF. But what do I know. Ha ha.
  7. Does it not normally take the SPL months to do anything e.g. Loovens. So appeal anyway and who cares if they uphold it at a later point.
  8. In addition to Zappa's points; Boyd had played in the majority of our games that season. Something like more than 2 thirds. Iwelumo had not played in weeks due, I think, to suspension. And Fletcher had some ridiculous stat like only having scored once that calendar year (iirc). He was not established at club or international level. Or at least if he and Iwelumo could be considered established at their clubs; Boyd was a bona fide legend by comparison. Add in picking the likes of Hutton, Gordon and McFadden regardless of whether or not they were playing club football and you quickly realise it was shite spewing from Burley's mouth. Just one of numerous times he was easily caught out telling flat out lies or just talking bollocks.
  9. Interesting perspective on why he stopped playing. Will be good to have him back though.
  10. Starting with today's game we had probably the toughest run of matches possible ahead of us. Playing the 3 teams directly below us in the table with the Hibs and Celtic games being away. Hibernian at Easter Road was arguably the most difficult of the lot. So giving the 2nd best team in the league (on form) a confidence boosting goal in the first 15 seconds was not a good start. Which makes the manner of a our 4-1 victory even more impressive. The team is displaying huge amounts of character at the momment to compliment the quality of performance and this can be summed up no better than by today's game. So with the above said, there should be no excuses for not taking 9 points from 9 availble in this tricky run of games. And should we manage that we will be a minimum of 7 points ahead of our nearest rivals and romping towards another title. :spl: Bring on the arabs.
  11. Finally looks like he might be a useful option and then he's injured again.
  12. Only just realised that now?
  13. What happened to Beasley?
  14. Well we know what their game plan is then! Larsson, Sutton, Petrov, Nakamura, McGeady a proud history od diving bastards. Interesting to note one of them admitting McGeady doesn't tend to show up against us, hopefully that continues.
  15. This year they are averaging 51000. But what has their average been since the stadium capacity was increased and how much extra revenue has it generated? Not saying your concluding line is wrong, but it could be???
  16. Did they Jim?
  17. Aye, I think Boogie's attitude and the odd "Amo" momment has counted against him, but probably top performer again.
  18. When we did performance testing at Falkirk John Hughes was achieving the club standard required for first team players over the first 5 metres of the sprint test. His acceleration was still good, just couldn't develop and maintain top speed over the 20m test.
  19. Never said he was fast. Said it was nonsense to suggest he is "outpaced by most". The fact you've struggled to give one example backs up my opinion of your opinion.
  20. Boyd has had a better season than Miller. Strange that Miller is POTY with Boyd just a contender. Our best player has been Boyd or McGregor.
  21. Don't agree with this at all. Complete nonsense. He may not be the fastest, but "done for pace by most"? Handles McGeady well whose biggest strength is explosive acceleration.
  22. No quotes in either story. BS imo. I think the papers just picked up the story from the Algerian papers (that KT08 posted the other day) off of online forums.
  23. Madjid won't be playing, just think this will stir stuff up. Closing thread but will re-open if people deem it necessary.
  24. Excellent site that helps the rest of us, who can't follow the youths, keep in touch with their progress.
