To some that's positives. Too me that barely even amounts to "bear minimum". Shocking. I'm absolutely flabbergasted they could keep such a donkey on. Makes my post about the impressive Holland performance being more damaging than the defeat even mor relevant. Penny-pinching arseholes.

Agree with you both, McDonald has a brass neck.

Good luck UCB. Hopefully you can get them back on track.

Mostly written. Just need to pick the team now. Will be up tomorrow morning some time.
-
I'd take any of them. Not feeling a prediction right now. Get back to me on this one.

The music always makes me think of the inaugral CL too Norris. What a team. What a tournament. And being stuck down south as a kid, didn't often get to see the bears. So that season and those games are some of the first I ever saw.

Not even average.

I wasn't impressed by that with the Hearts game, But haven't seen many others to know if it is an ongoing problem.

Not really had a chance to see our games on sky so far. By all accounts it doesn't seem to many are impressed with their output so far. Comes across as disinterested and amateur broadcasting with a poor presenter and a solitary pundit. The stereotypical bag pipes music they play is cringeworthy too. 1 thing I have enjoyed though. That advert they've got for the CL. The Rangers part has Miller's celebration screaming into the camera lens from the 4-2 game at the piggery. Brings back good memories.

Good to have you aboard. The rest are right of course, in that it is too early to be reading much into resuls but i'm glad someone else has highlighted the importance of points dropped at home.
-
Aye, i'll take it on unless someone else is really keen?

Russian Rocket ready to justify a great Bild-up against Rangers

Nothing like a story bumming up our opposition in the Scottish press just before our Champions League opener. -
I know I got us, Celtic and Hibs wrong.
-
Didn't know that. Even better. :spl:

Craig, do we have a taker for the Stuttgart game?
-
Agreed, maybe getting a bit ahead of myself. The true impact on the season ahead will not be seen until int's conclusion. By which time some other dropped or gained points will have become the "key fixture" anyway. Just felt that we were building up a head of steam and flip from wildly optimistic to wholly pesimistic on the back of one result/performance. Especially when our only rivals could not capitalise.

Thanks for the informative post mate. As I said to MF, their reaction to a perfectly reasonable request is bizarre to say the least.

I don't frequent their boards and couldn't today if I wanted due to being at work. However I imagine looking at their boards before their game kicked off and at full-time would illustrate my point perfectly. Obviously I can't comment on the manner of our dropped points and most will still be annoyed about the dropped points. But in the context of this weekend and the league campaign it has probably been a better weekend for us.

I'm sure the tims would have been rubbing their hands in glee earlier this afternoon, laughing at our dropped points on the road. I was stuck at work and did not see the game, so perhaps am slightly less affected by what sounds like an underwhelming performance. I was disappointed to see that we had given Celtic a timely boost before their game. Fortunately the mhankies could not take advantage and only managed a draw at home themselves. Goodwillie giving United an early lead at Parkhead with Celtic only securing a draw despite home advantage and their opponents finishing the game with 10 men. At FT in our match everyone would have been anticipating Celtic going to the top of the table. They couldn't take advantage. Now, rather than dwelling on the fact that we have dropped silly points on the road again (when was the last season we did not drop silly points in a few games?) I would argue we have had the better of this weekend. Surely 2 points dropped at home is a greater dent to their title challenge than us dropping 2 on the road? I would say that whilst we will all be disappointed with this weekend's game we should take heart from the fact that in terms of title aspirations it has been a slightly worse weekend for Celtic.

Not so much that I don't believe you, just trying to understand why they responded in the manner they did. Your explanation above seems reasonable and I guess it was self-preservation on their part. Admitting to having a low number of members would not look good.
-
By our good friends at Hamburg. At least Stuttgart go into this looking worse than us. Though that will no doubt count for nothing.

Sorry for not addressing this directly earlier. Was only on briefly this morning and didn't have time to read longer posts. Your quarrel with the RST does seem odd. I don't doubt what you say, I just wonder why they would behave in such a manner. Are there numbers so few they had to guard that fact and why did it need to be guarded from life members? (I was not a life member. Joined as a poor student and couldn't afford the life membership). Was your only issue regarding the number of members or were there other issues that led to their rather extreme looking reaction?

Couldn't even beat 10 men eh?
-
Did his best with a sending off eh? :fish: Disclaimer: I've been at work all day and have no idea what happened.

True though I don't think he ever claimed to represent our fans as a whole. However, due to his role with the RST it was inevitable he woudl be presented by the media as speaking for us as a whole.
