  1. WInner, winner. Chicken Dinner.
  2. Is that not the away game?
  3. Supposed starting XI:
  4. From the official site, can view the goals from a link on this page. Edit: Has to be McCulloch surely? What's with that music?
  5. Thought Leighton was sacked as they couldn't afford a specialist goalkeeping coach?
  6. Burley should go even if he somehow gets the miracle result as it would be down to luck more than anything else.
  7. Always good to see Boruc humiliated.
  8. We're not going to the AA, they're coming to Hampden. Still don't fancy it though. _________________________________________________________________ I see your point Tannoch, but if a couple of games against your Icelands and Norways gives you a chance of playing against Holland, France, Italy and the Ukraine as we have recently then I think it's worthwhile. And should we actually make a tournament again, the average quality will be high.
  9. I understand the idea that it's a risk players get injured. But on the flip side of that coin, playing international football gives players experience often against top quality opposition and should improve them as a player.
  10. More than Graham Dorrans anyway. And arguably more than Rae, although he's played a few internationals. Dorrans went down South from Livingston but I can't quite remember where. Leeds? Edit: He's at WBA in the Championship.
  11. Aye, if there was any logic attached to Burley's decisions (cite No Weir but Alexander, Fletcher/Iwelumo over Boyd etc etc) then fair enough. In fact Iwelumo/Fletcher over Boyd was picking lack of experience over experience. And in the case of Iwelumo, McFadden, Gordon, McManus and no doubt many others he has picked players lacking in (match) fitness. Burley's decisions do not appear to conform to typical manager choices, e.g. sticking with tried and trusted experience. Therefore I don't see how he can overlook Thomson. Burley hasn't got a clue.
  12. After hearing Lafferty had nutmegged Boruc I had to see that, so after a bit of googling found this. Lafferty goal about 40 seconds in.
  13. Ha ha. Didn't even think about that. What a bizarre club.
  14. Not true. He's always acting like a bam and Weir for example wouldn't lower himself to such standards of behaviour. I can't understand Fraser's fawning over Brown either. A good goal masking a very poor performance.
  15. Joins Celtic and straight into the team?
  16. The situation as it stands. But with so much football to be played it will change a lot. Hoping the two Irish teams get beat tonight as I believe that helps our cause.
  17. Were there not strong rumours of a fall out with Kenny McDowall.
  18. Prior to the booking I thought he'd been poor. Had a good run and shot in the first half, but although the shot was narrowly wide (into side netting) it was the wrong option, the keeper had covered the near post and he couldn't go for the far corner because of his angle and the covering defenders. Playing the ball across the goal was the right option. Other than that he did what he does best and is for some reason revered. Ran around fouling, making few legitimate challenges. A cracking goal will gloss over a very poor performance.
  19. I would sort of agree. But: 1) if Brown hadn't been a ned as normal, no rammy. No booking. 2) McFadden didn't actually appear to do anything. The ref booked a Macedonian and in typical ref bottling it fashion picked a random Scot to "even it up". Couldn't pick the instigator as he'd already collected a yellow. Still not entirely sure what it is McFadden did that was deemed worthy of a booking.
  20. That caused the rammy that led to McFadden being suspended for the Holland game! Well played mongo.
  21. Agreed, how the fuck could Burley pic Davidson ahead of him? Burley lucked out with Davidson comin off injured early.
  22. Not very much to be honest. Murky waters. You're well within you rights to hold your view and may very well be right. I have nothing to prove my assertion either way. My stand is just based upon my own approach to things I guess. I don't often buy into conspiracy theories. I don't have a strong view on this. Just an assumption based on a dearth of facts. Hopefully, we will one day find out the full truth, but I don't see it.
  23. I'm sceptical as I don't really buy into conspiracy theories. No convinced.
  24. Because we're less familiar with mediocrity than fans of other clubs?
  25. Alexander and Davidson then? Another example of managers putting experience over ability. What is it with some manager's favouring experience over all other aspects of a footballer? I would rather have a player with more ability but slightly less experience when the options are these two old plodders.
