"A star player". Not the star player. And considering our squad and the boys that are missing, I think it's a fair point. Agree it looks more likely he'll stay now and that was the main reason behind writing this.

I would associate more closely with MF's opinion on the RST. Similar to him, I believe, I was a paid up member who became disillusioned when self advancement of individuals appeared to take precedence over the advancement of the RST and Rangers. (obviously feel free to state that I have misunderstood your view MF). One thing that never changed for me was the fact that I was highly impressed with the way David Edgar represented the RST and the Rangers support at large. Sometimes I'm not as well up with the others as to the political machinations of certain organisations but I find myself having even less confidence in the RST in light of DE's step down.

And yet, despite my own warning, because the rumour arose from different sources (at least from my perspective) I was buying into a little bit more than normal. With SDM's "sideways step" I'm more likely to be duped by these rumours.

Due to a number of circumstances, the main one being that due to my ignorance I did not realise where I was, when watching that key game against Italy, after the original euphoria of celebration died down I hear one "Scotland fan" say I wont celerate a goal by that (hun) bastard! Or words to that effect. It was a long time ago and I forget the precise insult. However, that Fergie goal at that time, with the real emotion involved and invested, was far greater than any of McFadden's goals. That is, if really, you only cared about a Scotland win and not who produced it. Ps. I'm a bit pissed, can hopefully explain better later, if needed.

Not good enough to play, yet still to blame for us not qualifying. It's some kind of twisted logic I just can't get my head around.

Wouldn't have said it if I thought he'd take it personally. Well probably not.

I thought MF was a regular there? :fish:

Speaking of midfielders. Even though he was supposed to be in decline I don't see any of them producing the kind of performance he did here:

Almost as good as the PLG revolution sounded. I think it will be a godo thing, but then I also thought that about the French manager and it backfired spectacularly. Hopefully that will not be the case this time. Though I definitely think there is something in the idea of change that makes people assume it will always be better.

I should probably get my fingers in a few more pies, Rangers related websites-wise anyway. But it's enough with the few I already browse tbh.

Aye, what if they play a striker with goalscoring pedigree?
-
Fletcher often struggles to replicate his Man U form for the national team, but even a 50% Fletcher is better than Brown. Running about a lot, commiting fouls and generally being caught out of position should not be mistaken for a good game.

Anything appearing on any other sites guys? Is all very intriguing, but as Norris stated from the ouset, we should receive this information with caution and a little doubt.

Some interesting stats i've just read. Now i'm not saying that Boyd would be the difference v the Dutch for example (not many of our players would be). But how can the bungling alky justify having Boyd as about 5th or 6th striker at best? Clown of a manager i'm afraid.

Using results in other competitions is often brought up when it suits the agenda. Did getting beat at home off of a mediocre Moscow outfit and getting papped out of the Champions League and into the Thursday cup not count this time. :spl: I would have thought given the fact our record this month was better than theirs and the manner of the Hearts victory. Coming from a goal and a man down would swing it in Wattie's favour. But then I remembered he manages Rangers.

As you can see from the other thread I've had similar concerns.

I've not taken the time to have a proper look yet, other than a cursory glance at the homepage. I spend enough time on here and a few other websites. Tbh, I was of the opinion that I just wouldn't find the time to include another regular website in my time wasted on the internet. However, I would be in no place to criticise or make comment on the RSA and their work and website if I did not at least spend some time seeing what they have to offer. Will have a look at some point and come back to see if I can add anything to the points above.

I'm not sure where the Smith rumour came from. With his unusual contract situation is it a case of putting 2 + 2 together and getting 25? I would be highly surprised if the SFA turned to him again and with the ridiculous furore stoked up by some of the Rangers haters in the TA it would be unlikely.

Sums it up neatly. I'd love someone in a position of real influence to put that arguement forward.

Ah well, you know it gets boring after a while sticking it to the same person.

Cant find official confirmation but have read it online.

I was gonna go 4, but then thought lets not go mad. Hope you're right though. :spl:

You were offline. We had to pick on someone.

Conspiracy Craig? The manager who's team achieved the second best record this month, despite spending by far the most money in the summer and having been knocked out of the CL has apparently received the manager of the month award. I stand by my view of the selection criteria for these awards? Celtic first, then anyone else, then christ we'll have to give it to one of them orange basturds. And so it continues current trends.
