That's a bit like saying a poke in the eye is better than a kick in the balls though. Our options are crap and really crap. Excellent. I'd prob still go Boyd in a 4-5-1. Sure maybe less chances. But more chance of taking them.

I could see your point in your previous post. I'm just stirring. But I do think our title wins under Eck have made people think it is more important than it is. How often are league titles decided on such things? -

The last part depends on whether you want your striker's to perform their primary role or be you first defender. Personally I think even Miller and Lafferty are shite as lone strikers and don't look forward to either fulfilling the role.

GD is not that important. I tried to make that point with all the scaremongering towards the end of last year. How did that one work out? -
Not this again. I'll let you into a little secret. All out striker are absolute crap in the lone striker role. In fact there aren't that many any good at it. Drogba. Torres. Boyd struggles with out supprt. Really. Is that what we're saying. Because again most players do. We tolerate 4-5-1 in Europe because it makes us harder to beat. But it also makes our striker more ineffectual.

You'll notice the big games have been counted. It's the complete record. And Boyd doesn't really play in the big games. So who do we blame for him not scoring in the big games? Boyd? or Walter?

Even if the game is crap or we should be winning or it's goal 7 in a rout I go mad. Forget which game it was in pre-season. THink it was one on the German tour, listening to it with my wee brother. Started pumping my fist and shouting yes when we scored against some pub mob from Germany. Before realising what a sad bastard I am. Wont change though. I fucking love it! -
Well I dont think Nurenberg were up to much when we played them (I know we didn't see it, but the reports were not great). Doesn't shine a good light on Stuttgart.
