Lol, looking good so far. Bet365 gave me a fre £5 bet again this weekend. Got one a while back and took Boyd and 3-0, after considering taking Boyd anytime scorer. Granted odds were only like 4/5, but predictably he scored and we didn't win 3-0 the last time. This week just took the anytime scorer. I only normally bet a small accumulator of favourites, but only allowed a single bet with this freebie and think trying to predict scores and too a lesser extent first scorers is a waste of a bet. So played it safe and a free £4. Will do for a Sunday accumualtor stake. Next time I get another one of these from bet365 I know where it's going as would;ve won both times had I placed it

I am similar superstitious though it seems to be garnering me no luck.

Had a massive tenner on Bayern last night to win a measley £6odds. Was raging when Hoffenheim went ahead early in the first half and turned the game over. Didn't even know they won til today. Put my enormous winnings on a wee coupon today. 5/6 teams I think but forget who. Ha ha.

Free entry to game at Ibrox on Sunday for youth game against Dumbarton if anyone from here has a free Sunday. K.o 1 O'clock. According to posters on FF who got an official email.

Don't disagree with you, my comment was in relation to alex complaining about his age.
-
Tonel at 28 could quite probably play another 6 seasons comfortably.

Players "running to the press", a comnplaint i've never really understood. As a professional sports man you undoubtedly have a lot of spare tiem during which you are contacted by the press for comment or obligated by the club to make statements for their official output which is picked up and regurgitated by the press. If they are obliged to make noises in the media surely they should be positive noises?

To be fair Miller and Davis would be first choice when fit and Smith has Beasley far higher up the peckin order than his play deserves. Novo will be in and out the team like normal.
-
Lost his job because he was a shite manager? :box::devil:

Boyd also played very well against Dundee Utd and was only denied by an excellent goalkeeping display. If the defence had turned up for that game Boyd would have been getting the same praise as his other recent games. Just because he did not score in that one does not mean he did not make a valid contribution. Doesn't fit your agenda against him though. The only games he has not played well in were in horrific team performances against Hearts and and arguably Motherwell. SO that's 2 in the last 9 including playing Dundee Utd and Aberdeen. No doubt people wishing to do him down will move the goalposts again for why they don't rate him. They;ve been moved about a thousand times since he signed. You quite rightly highlight the problems on the field atm, Boyd is so far down them he shouldn;t even be being discussed in this thread.
-
Davis coming back is certainly welcome. Add more guile and determination to the midfield, even in his unfavoured wide right position. Miller will be welcome more for the fact it means Darcheville dropping out than anything else imo. I'm not 100% convinced Miller is a huge loss if you merely replace like for like with Novo, but that didn't/wont happen.
-
Surely replacing the almost universally ineffectual Darcheville with Novo would have left us with a pretty much direct replacement for Miller against HEarts though Cammy? Though if the midfield and defence are as woeful as that, who plays upfront is almost irrelevant.
-
Thing it's pretty poor to continue to have a dig at Boyd for one poor team performance at Hearts when he played well for about 8 games on the bounce from the Hamilton double header onwards including Dundee Utd and Aberdeen.
-
I dont agree that Broadfoot deserves to be singled out there, even if he is being played "out of position" which I would also argue against. Has is inability to take a throw on resurfaced. Indefensible for a professional footballer, though barely worth worrying about with much larger problems to contend with. Can't disagree with much else though. Point 8 aside but that's a given

I fully agree that the situation is not acceptable. Our inability to regualrly pick up the required results on the road is inexcusable. But yes I still state that there first XI, and squad, is no better than ours and the maain, if not only reason we trail them by so much is to do with them being gifted probably in the region of 10 points (minimum) whilst we have wrongly had at least 4 taken from us.

But that's not down to superiority of their squad and first XI. It owes greater significance to attrocious officiating! We should probably be a minimum of 3 points ahead. You cannot just write off such a massive points swing as it evens itself out etc etc.

Off the pitch, Murray and co. cannot touch their boardroom I agree. On the pitch and their no further ahead than us. Going back to the end of the McLeish and the PLG era they maybe were. Smith has shown they are no great shakes and if the officials were competent we would in fact be top. Hardly disappearing ahead of us.

"Rangers were responding to comments attributed to George Burley". Seriously when will this cretin learn to keep his gob shut? When it involves Rangers in particular he just makes a cunt of himself.
-
"Disappearing over the horizon"; a line that is trotted out about that lot every time we get ourselves in a bad position. If they were that far ahead of us why did they only win the SPL last year due to a unique season in which a march to the final of 3 cup competitions and various other factors conspired to give us an unprecedented fixture pile up? Whilst I agree with everything else that is stated I just had to take issue with this point. It is a line that only comes out as a knee jerk type comment and only serves to build the Tims confidence in their superiority. You have to remember as well, despite doing ourselves no favours, with a level playing field in terms of officials decision we would be sitting atop the league. We might be struggling but without the officials help they are no great shakes either and are disappearing over no horizons.

Watching the reserves against Killie and contrary to all the reports i've read of his form in the reserves he's looked pretty decent. Quick feet and a nice touch, decent eye for a pass, not scared to shoot from outside the box and looking to get involved. Poor delivery from corners and wide positions, but more good than bad for me. Though admittedly though missed the first half and cannot comment on his form in previous games.
