There's just something highly amusing about seeing someone getting skelped in the face with a ball.

[ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rVAD8Zl5ngg]As the thread title says[/ame] Unashamedly stolen. US "soccer" though.

3/4 incidents involving him, yet most other players go out and have no bother. Does it really looki like he tries to keep himself out of trouble as this would suggest otherwise.

5/6 weeks? Hardly worth it unless they'll be looking to extend the loan in January.

Tribute to McColl at Hampden.

Admittedly do not have the original source but thought this may make interesting reading: When reading this and thinking about the peice that was linked to on here regarding Phelps' (US record breaking swimmer), people might want to think before going bezerk (sp) because they saw a player eat a pizza one night or go to Greggs. Although the kind of OTT criticism you read is not too prevalent on here. Obviously the players cannot live on a diet of junk food, but the odd indulgence will not hurt them. Also look at Man U and their Sports Scientist advocating pizza for post match meals to replace energy used. Edit: I meant to highlight this is the PL and CL champions who are having their diet knocked. Doesn't add up to me.

Was scrawled in one of the toilets of Glasgow Uni's library. No doubt been cleaned now. Oh an no, it wasn't me.

Perhaps due to my age, I'm only really old enough to remember the beginnings of NIAR, I don't really consider Aberdeen more than a minor irritation. A few disgusting songs during a fixture annoy me and then their forgotten til next time. They are inconsequential. Excellent read though Cammy Interesting to read about the origins of the rivalry and some new info there for me.

I'm one of those who thinks Walter could use his youngsters more, but find it hard to disagree with anything Cal says

Lol, sorry Craig. How they getting on. Lost interest after the initial story about which team they (you) decided to buy.
-
Easy when you know how eh?
-
Like an FC United or AFC Wimbledon? Or could just make a website, get everyone to donate and buy Ebbsfleet.

Aye I didn't mind doing it at first, while I was still at uni and had little to no experience working within elite sport. Having now gotten a bit of paid work working with Falkirk and the SRU will be irk me having to give up my time for free. But then if it helps my chances of getting paid work with one of these clubs it's worth it I guess.

Had formed a good partnership with Boyd. All that was missing from his game at the weekend was goals, but then we knew that didn't we? :dveil: A chance to try Lafferty in his correct position? Will he be the willing runner for Boyd and his knock ons though?

Gordon pulled out injured Craig. I nearly put Commons in my team, but changed it to include Robson as Burley has a penchant for fielding most the Celtic squad and Robson might be a more solid midifeld player than Commons. SO not a huge suprise for me on that one. Wait and see if this guy has it right again.

A poster on FF who was supposedly spot on with the team for the Norway game states this will be the team for Argentina: No source named but most seem to believe him based on his previous.

Been in contact with a few sports clubs in my area (moved back home earlier this month as lease on my falt was up). Watford and Reading didn't even acknowledge my emails London Irish and Wasps RFCs have responded to me today. Also emailed MK Dons and will try a few others. None of them are officially looking at the minute, but I started off with mainly voluntary work with Falkirk before getting a few regular hours each week. The voluntary stuff grates on you after a while, but with moving to a new area gonna have to do something like this to make new contacts and keep myself in the induustry. Will look better on my cv applying for FT positions if I can show i've still been doing relevant work (even voluntary) in the interim.

Follow Follow, Wolverhampton Town, Paisley Road West. Don't think i'll be taking it with me somehow. Yep sure beats busting your balls in a bar job
-
That was my thoughts exactly when you look at some of the names that are already in there.
-
Pretty much, but sports clubs will pay a better wage. It was cushty work doing it at Falkirk.

Mainly the physical preparation of the players. Writing training programmes. Weight lifting sessions, field based training sessions. Speed and agility training. Performance testing. Maybe nutrition and sports psychology although they may very well have experts, particularly in the latter. As a rough guide anyway.

Wouldn't stop the press chucking about "Rangers fans" and "sectarian" if the shoe was on the other foot.

If ever we had a reason to win the league..........
