BBC Investigative Documentary on RFC/Craig Whyte confirmed
Frankie replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Obviously Daly has previous for going under-cover with subject companies. Not sure if this has happened here or not but, like you say, this isn't going to be good news. -
BBC Investigative Documentary on RFC/Craig Whyte confirmed

Well, obviously various EPL teams and figures have been the subject of similar programmes over the years. Our current unique tax problems and Whyte's vague business background will make for interesting viewing. Givem James Cook's less then helpful editing of our manager a few weeks back, I'd fancy the club will be keen to ensure any claims made are factual. -

Rangers - The Inside Story BBC 1 Scotland October 20th, 7:00pm. Mark Daly reveals what lies in store for Craig Whyte, the new owner of Rangers FC - one of Scotland's oldest football clubs - which is currently being threatened with a potentially business-closing 50 million-pound tax bill. -
The working group continue to meet regularly. Unfortunately, VB have recently pulled out from this citing a lack of pro-active work from the group.

Mark Daly (Panorama reporter) has confirmed to me that a BBC documentary about RFC/Craig Whyte is due to be screened next Thursday, 20th October. This should be fascinating - not sure if this will be Panaroma or simply a stand-alone investigative piece from this guy.

It will be interesting to see how much these extra cases will cost the taxpayer - not to mention the extra funding required for the Unit to apply the law. I'm surprised Labour haven't raised that aspect of the new Bill.
-
I doubt many people would oppose a law as long as it is clearly defined and applied fairly. That isn't the case with this proposed legislation so all we're going to get is more confusion until people like the Lord Advocate and the football authorities actually lead from the front in specifying what songs are proscribed.

Interesting day today for the 'Anti-Sectarian' Bill with the Justice Committee submitting their Stage 2 report amidst this raft of criticism. I do find it fascinating that the biggest critics of said Bill appear to be those who complain most about having to suffer from sectarianism. Seems rather strange? Perhaps the increased attention on their own intolerances has made them wary of accepting legislation which only they wanted in the first place.

Rangers v Liverpool ticket information
Frankie replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
At the end of the day, no-one is being forced to go. The club obviously feel there is a market (limited or otherwise) for such a game given we have no European commitments. Personally, I wouldn't pay £20 for a friendly match of any kind but if others fancy a night out watching players they normally wouldn't get the chance to see, then I hope they enjoy the game. Just as long as none of our players are injured. -
The authorities cannot ignore such well presented evidence. Great work!
-
An excellent resource which shows the Celtic support up for what it is. Great job mate!
-
STV have indicated the SFA are gathering evidence on the Stack incident...
-
Well said mate - welcome to the forum.
-
I don't know mate but I think it would be naive of us to think the club are not contributing here. Whyte must intervene now.
-
I'm told the Fans Joint Working Group are supporting TBO and UB's and they will be involved once we collate all our info into a document to present to Rangers.
-
I'd recommend RossMacaskill@rangers.co.uk (Facilities Manager) as the first port of call. CC in JimHannah@rangers.co.uk as supporters liaison while you're at it.
-
I'd personally urge all bears to contact the club and ask them to explain this disgraceful situation.

On Saturday, October 1st 2011, The Union Bears and The Blue Order held a further protest at Ibrox Stadium in the 1-0 victory over Hibernian. The protest consisted of a 54 minute silence, surrounding the section in police tape and the unfurling of 3 banners; "Police Line - Do Not Cross" "Guilty Until Proven Innocent" "Al Megrahi Sits at Home, Football Fans Sit in Jail" Unfortunately, our protest was challenged by the stewards within the stadium who attempted to remove upon unfurling our "Police Line, Do Not Cross" banner. Despite attempts at censorship of our opinion, we will continue our opposition of the proposed 'Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Bill'. Further to this, following our protest action and the incidents that occurred on Tuesday night, the BF1 section was subject to intimidation by Stewards and Police, both inside and outside of the stadium. Each entrance to the Broomloan Road Stand had 5 stewards and 4 police officers. Certain group members were subject to a full body search 4 times, by 4 separate officers before being allowed entry to the stadium. No homemade banners or flags were permitted entry to the stadium, including the Union Bears group banner. On entry to the stadium, the BF1 section had 8 police officers along the top row, stewards positioned down both aisles, and 4 police officers and numerous stewards facing the section from trackside. In total, our section counted at one point a total of 26 police and stewards around the section. Supporters would also have been aware of the messages over tannoy and scoreboard informing all supporters that they must remain seated throughout the match. The tactic from Rangers security on Saturday appeared to be the elimination of all colour and atmosphere from Ibrox stadium, and the ejection of any fans who dared challenge this aggressive and unnecessary action. We had 6 supporters ejected from our section, with season tickets confiscated by stewards; 1 for standing 1 for filming police 2 for questioning why you can be ejected for filming police 1 for refusing to hand over season ticket details without reason or justification for why details where required 1 for handing out tape to supporters to cover their mouths as part of our silent protest We again, would like to thank the Rangers support for their fantastic backing of the section on Saturday. Your messages of support are greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank Alistair McCoist, for his support. It is clear that the management team believes that vocal support and atmosphere can inspire the players. We were utterly appalled at treatment we received on Saturday. We wish to support our team in a vocal, colourful and positive manner and feel we are being subject to intense intimidation and over aggressive policing and stewarding. We will be compiling a document with details of events over the past 2 matches, and submitting this to Rangers. Our hope is that we can resolve all issues and get on with encouraging the team to our 55th and 4th consecutive title without intimidation, fear of arrest or undue over-aggressive stewarding. Supporting Your Team Is not a Crime. Yours in Rangers, The Union Bears and The Blue Order

Humza Yousaf MSP was his name and he's part of the Justice Committee. Also a Celtic supporter by his own admittance. He's suggested he wasn't intending to refer to Saturday's game and has apologies for any confusion. I'll say one thing for the guy, he's definitely approachable on Twitter etc and has been critical of his own club/fans formally.

No-one knows the outcome of the hearing so not sure how anyone can say such an outcome is 'definite'.

His crossing (and decision-making) can be weak but I think it is improving as his overall distribution. One has to remember that a winger is also reliant on his strikers making the correct runs. For example, against Killie, I thought Ortiz did very well and got into some great positions (in the first half especially). His crossing wasn't great from there though but neither were the runs from Jelavic and Lafferty. Generally, I think Wylde is a great option to have because he can do the defensive job pretty well also. This, along with his pace, gives us good balance on the left hand side and while there is plenty room for improvement, the lad is doing a decent job.

Rangers surge nine points clear at the top of the SPL with another solid victory - this time at home to Hibernian. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=447:rangers-1-0-hibernian-player-ratings-and-mom-poll&catid=1:articles&Itemid=67 :gw: I think the lad is getting better with every game. Improvement in his decision-making, stronger on the ball and generally more consistent with his distribution. Really gives us a good balance on the left.

Good to see Dr Stuart Waiton in beside The Blue Order on Saturday. A penny for his thoughts on the heavy handed policing/stewarding?
