  1. Derby say the deal with Rangers if off...
  2. McCulloch is hardly a great player but he's contributed just as much as any other midfielder this season. Generally, other than Naismith, our midfield have under-performed and been dreadfully inconsistent. Davis, Edu and Weiss have not done enough but seem to miss the same venom directed at McCulloch which I find interesting.
  3. The failed social worker is simply using our worst fears to play games with a club and supporters he will do anything to cast negative light on. The problem arises because Rangers are being less than clear with their fans over this tax 'query'. I don't see how season ticket holders can be asked to spend another £400+ in the next few months to renew their tickets when this case appears to be an obstacle in the club's future. To satisfy our concerns, the club should answer four simple questions: 1. Exactly how much money is the HMRC 'querying' about? 2. Have the club attempted to settle this case 'out of court' suggesting an acceptance of liability? 3. Do the club intend pursing MIH (and/or their accountants who recommended the EBT schemes) for recompense? 4. What is the deadline for concluding all the above? The Rangers Supporters Assembly should be vocally calling for such clarity and would have the backing of all if they did. Not to appease blow-hards like PMG but to show our supporters that the club's future is not in danger because of multi-million pound 'queries'.
  4. Enough please gentlemen... Everyone should know by now that folk have different opinions. Please make your opposing points with respect rather than resorting to insults.
  5. I'll see what I can do...
  6. Munro. Thread closed.
  7. We may or may not sell McGregor and, if the fee was correct (say £8-10million) then I could understand the rationale in doing so. However, we won't spend any more than half of any fee received so I'd rather we kept him until the summer where the transfer market usually has a bit more value.
  8. I'd agree with that as Wylde looks particularly decent whenever he's played. However Commons is a bit more experienced and more versatile to ticks the Smith/McCoist boxes.
  9. Weiss flatters to deceive so Smith will stick with the equally under-whelming Davis over there.
  10. I'll take him but is he any better than Chris Burke whom we sold a while back now? We need another option for the right side IMO as we don't have enough in attack from that side.
  11. Wasteful Rangers are defeated by late Jambos sucker-punch in top of the table clash in Edinburgh. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=361:hearts-1-0-rangers-player-ratings-and-mom-poll&catid=35:analysis&Itemid=67 :jn: The youngster was quite superb in the first half and I enjoyed seeing him add a more attacking virtue to his game. Was very unlucky not to score with thunderbolt but perhaps should have cut ball back to Whittaker before his other shot. Other than him, I felt a few players did well but we lost any threat we had after the break and I was disappointed the manager didn't go for two up front to stop Hearts from coming back into the game before they inevitably scored.
  12. I'm happy to promote anything which changes the status quo but am struggling for ideas myself when we lack the cohesion and innovation to make a difference. Those that can emphasise the message will not mention the elephant in the room.
  13. As you know, for the most part at least, online you're preaching to the converted. The problem is reaching the majority in a credible fashion. Only way you can do that is via former players/managers prepared to listen to what we have to say, agree, fine-tune it and deliver it publicly for us. As it stands, that person does not exist - in public at least.
  14. We did need a Mary Magdalene...
  15. That's what we're missing on our club board. Men with leather jaikets, shades and moustaches...
  16. Big crowd to see him sign...
  17. Who is the guy with the shades? PS: Reminds me of the last supper!
  18. Transfer confirmed officially... http://www.rangers.co.uk/articles/20110121/miller-moves-on_2254024_2272745
  19. I think he'll do fine enough if he's able to concentrate on his football given his family are unlikely to move out... I do predict he'll back in the UK (or the Middle East) this time next year though.
  20. Perfectly put 26th...
  21. Obviously playing at a high tempo is tiring and the law of averages dictates that we can't expect to dominate every minute of every match. I also accept that sometimes caution is warranted and we have to utilise the whole squad and a variety of tactics when we have so many games to play. However, what I won't accept is the lack of commitment and motivation which is often a direct result of an overly defensive outlook. We're too eager to get behind the ball and sit deep instead of closing down and getting men forward. Instead of just Davis and AN Other as our attacking options, I'd like to see at least one more such player in the side wherever possible.
  22. I'm sure we could all make the odd individual change - Lafferty for Fleck, Edu for McCulloch, Webster for Weir etc etc. However, we simply must take the game to Hearts and start to show opposition teams our strengths instead of our weaknesses.
  23. I don't know what King's personal wealth is but £30million is a lot for anyone given that's the supposed price for Rangers and no-one has bought it...
  24. Sounds like positive news but having just paid out nearly £30million to SARS, will he be able to up his alleged offer for Rangers? He's had a lot to say on the subject in the last year. We'll soon see why.
